Despite a lack of content, perfectible driving and unsophisticated opponents, Dakar Desert Rally comes to dust off the automotive genre with style. Based on the sumptuous landscapes of Saudi Arabia, Saber Interactive's game displays a remarkable achievement and should delight those looking for a different racing game. If the developers have kept the requirement of Dakar 18 (with co-pilot, compass, roadbook, etc.), it is now possible to try out Sport mode and its arcade approach. Thanks to these additions, Dakar Desert Rally opens up to a wider audience without cutting itself off from purists. With its impression of successful speed, its panoramas and sumptuous effects and its huge map, there is plenty to have fun while waiting for possible extensions. Undoubtedly the automotive surprise of this fall.- Jeuxvideo.com

Yes, it’s a Gacha game and yes, it’ll try to have you buy things you don’t really need. But that’s what Gacha games do, right? And this one is pretty fair, and also has cool graphics and very dynamic gameplay.- Jeuxvideo.com

The Bearded Ladies signs a winning return to the Tactical-RPG genre after the potential trial run Mutant Year Zero. Miasma Chronicles retains the same formula in gameplay, namely a title combining RPG, Xcom-style strategy and even infiltration to make the task easier in combat. The scenario, the characters, the graphics and the sound form an organic universe largely at the level to make the game one of the beautiful surprises of the year 2023. There remain a few imperfections (camera, difficulty, etc.) to be corrected so that the Swedish studio establishes itself as the leader of the genre for the rest of its adventures.- Jeuxvideo.com

You don’t even have to like Pokémon to enjoy Pokémon Go. During the previous year, Pokémon Go has tuned its ideas and it’s now even more original and addictive. This is a one-of-a-kind game.- Jeuxvideo.com

More than a tribute to the first two games, Darksiders III creates its own identity. More demanding, but also more rewarding, it improves the formula in almost every compartments. Sadly, it lacks the epic breath of its predecessors.- Jeuxvideo.com

Even if it looks like a children’s story, My Memory of Us adresses some serious topics and hands to the players many smart puzzles. There’s some flaws in its gameplay but still, this is a cool little game.- Jeuxvideo.com

An adventure that lacks of puzzles and interactivity, with a mobile app that doesn't really bring enough interest. It's a shame because the atmosphere and direction is great, with an good implication of Holly Earl.- Jeuxvideo.com

Daemon X Machina is a frustrating game. Because, on one hand, it has everything a real robot anime lovers is looking for. But most of the time, the game is sluggish, with terrible gunfeel and repetitive missions.- Jeuxvideo.com

The adventures of Anu, Octavio and Fran struggle to achieve the furious madness that we have come to expect from a game stamped Borderlands. Sometimes irreverent, often conventional, the title signed Gearbox is satisfied with the union minimum for an Interactive Drama of 2022 in terms of gameplay. The virtual absence of Cornelian choices and the rhythm which collapses after the third chapter prevent him from forgiving his lack of ambition. The problem with New Tales from the Borderlands isn't that it doesn't reinvent the wheel, but that it spins the genre around in circles. Fortunately, his humor gives him a significant sympathy capital.- Jeuxvideo.com

Last Stop gave us an overall pleasant experience by concocting three distinct plots with fair flavors. Precise rhythm, convincing characters, story that keeps us in suspense: there is no doubt that the Variable State studio masters its pen. What a pity that the player's freedom is so compartmentalized by its lack of impact on events and that the technical quality tarnishes the experience. The adventure will however prove to be appreciable for fervent fans of narrative games who are just waiting to discover an entertaining story.- Jeuxvideo.com

A fun platform game that manages to offer pretty good entertainment without any real narrative material. Perfectly family-friendly, the game has the advantage of easily adapting to all ages without boring them. However, the experience would have gained by diversifying its level compositions in order to overcome its too-short lifespan.- Jeuxvideo.com

If its atmosphere as its concept are successful, The Signifier struggles to develop its very good ideas and comes up against a certain repetitiveness even though the ground of the game would have been fertile enough to diversify both the puzzles and the phases of the game.- Jeuxvideo.com

Voice of Cards is undeniably fun to follow, especially thanks to its frankly successful “board game” aesthetic. However, he fails to fully engage the player in his adventure, the fault of overly simplistic and intrusive fights. This leaves a very nice game, often funny and enjoyable to play, but unfortunately punctuated by moments of trouble.- Jeuxvideo.com

After a weekend of intense play on the courts of NBA 2K24, the observation is there: the mechanics are very different from last season to perform on the floors, and progress in the career. It is less obvious to have a very complete player online, and the new defense and contact system will delight the greatest defenders and screen setters at heart. To complement the many hours of gaming required online, the single-player content of the software is still gargantuan, with welcome new features. We will simply complain about the ever more invasive micro-transaction system to progress quickly, and a Mamba Moments mode tribute to Kobe not at the level of that of Michael Jordan last season.- Jeuxvideo.com

The unexpected arrival of a new episode of Project Zero, 15 years after its debut in Japan, in a reworked version translated into French, may delight us to the highest degree, but above all it highlights the urgency of modernizing the gameplay from the series. As it stands, this remaster is therefore only intended for fans of the franchise who have been waiting for a long time for an opportunity to discover this fourth opus.- Jeuxvideo.com
