¡Ay, caramba! Forza Horizon 5 is maturing under the Mexican sun a recipe concocted by Playground Games that has already delighted millions of pilots. Like an antojito, Forza Horizon 5 can be enjoyed in a good mood with anyone, anytime. Rolling over everything that has already been technically done and taking advantage of the Xbox Series X springboard to stamp the skies, Microsoft's software climbs the volcano of fun and unleashes an exhilarating torrent to be experienced alone or with others. It’s the festival of the decade.

Bayonetta 3 definitely marks the comeback of the Platinum Games witch. With this new adventure, Bayonetta proves once again that she is the queen of beat'em up by offering battles that are still as exhilarating and spectacular as ever, which are sublimated here thanks to many new weapons and the mechanics of summoning demons. which changes the way of fighting. In addition to being a superb beat'em up, the title does not forget to offer a certain variety, both in its more open levels and in its game phases, in particular by making us play other characters like Viola and Joan. And then, the adventure is all the more pleasant to go through as it benefits from a high frame rate in combat, an epic staging, but also a more serious scenario which delivers a grandiose outcome. . Obviously, this episode is not perfect for all that, with its sometimes messy confrontations, its graphics far from being impeccable or its wiser side than usual, but it remains a new memorable adventure nonetheless. Clearly worth the long wait.

Baldur's Gate 3 on PlayStation 5 has nothing to envy with Baldur's Gate 3 on PC. Larian Studios didn't sacrifice its RPG to run it on Sony's console. This role-playing game retains all of the content of the PC version (even local cooperation via split screen) and offers an optimal controller experience. The few faults of BG3 are still present (in particular the “pad” interface), but for the rest, it is flawless.

In spring 2020, there was hope: that of seeing a crazy dream come true thanks to Final Fantasy VII Remake. This same hope, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth transforms it into a consecration. A gameplay of formidable efficiency here sublimated, a rhythm better managed despite some clumsiness, a staging which awakens in us a whole range of emotions and, above all, an adventure which, even if it overflows with love for the version original, shines for what it is and carries us away as much as in 1997, if not even more. With Rebirth, Final Fantasy has perhaps found the ideal formula to tell us a story, while leaving us free to experience it at our own pace. As in any rebirth, there is a before and an after, and this emerging future already promises to be exhilarating as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth already has all the qualities to be considered the ultimate game in the saga.

In short, we would like all remasters to be like The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. Here, Naughty Dog intelligently expands the content of the PS4 masterpiece, with - already - behind the scenes everything (Lost Levels, audio comments) and above all, a roguelite mode which really wowed us. It's simply the perfect excuse to dive back into the universe and visceral action of Part 2, with a lifespan now extended from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Even the small graphics boost, in 4K Native, has its effect - despite a slightly disappointing 30 FPS (even with VRR). In the end, a remaster that doesn't make fun of us at all.

This iPad version is without a doubt the ultimate portable version of Divinity: Original Sin II Definitive Edition. We may regret that only Mac players can keep their progress and that only PC and macOS players can play together. But these are the only sacrifices made on this version. As beautiful as ever, as imposing as ever and as rich as ever, Larian's monumental RPG is perfectly playable on the touchscreen and even has the luxury of keeping the local co-op once two pads are connected to the Apple tablet. This incredible adventure is now accessible wherever you want, without concessions.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a new masterpiece that makes Breath of the Wild, one of the best games of all time, look like a draft. By following in the footsteps of its predecessor, it is no longer a “revolution” of course, but it completes the player experience in an epic dimension that has no equal. The feeling of freedom, the feeling of living your own adventure without constraint, these are the great strengths of a game with an absolutely exceptional lifespan. Tears of the Kingdom is discovered over time, little by little, so much so that it will still have things to reveal to us for years to come. It is a jewel of absolute purity and definitely, adventure with a capital A.

What to say, what to do... if not to bow humbly in front of so much talent. Larian Studios once again proves its expertise in the field of role-playing games and even manages to sublimate the rich and complex universe of Dungeons & Dragons. Baldurs' Gate 3 is quite simply the best D&D video game adaptation ever made. This adventure “of which you are the hero” shines with its generosity, its mastery of the codes of the genre and this constant desire to surpass oneself. BG3 can boast of being the ultimate video game experience for role-players, but not only. Admittedly, this RPG requires a good PC to play in optimal conditions and proves to be a bit tough to learn, especially for the uninitiated. But to play Baldur's Gate III is to create your own story, a story that belongs only to you. Just for that (and more), the pleasure is total!

In the end, Death Stranding Director's Cut does exactly what is expected of it: bringing to PC all the qualities of the PS5 version (which was already an ultimate edition of Hideo Kojima's masterpiece) but with the flexibility specific to its platform. We therefore find support for 2K and 4K resolutions, ultrawide screens, a framerate of up to 240 fps and support for DLSS. Small - and only - difference compared to the PC edition of two years ago: Intel's Xe Super Sampling can now be used. Enough to make this Director's Cut PC an even more versatile title than in the past, which is an excellent point. A choice setting to enjoy Hideo Kojima's masterpiece in the best conditions, with all the additions of this improved version: new tools for deliveries, new activities and missions. An ultimate port for a game that marked its time.

It's hard to expect more from an extraction shooter, but it has everything: excellent PvE driven by simply superb AI; plenty of plot twists with just the right number of players; vast maps brimming with secrets; solid gameplay that knows exactly what it's doing; and a long, gradual progression culminating in massive machines to be fought. Path of Exile 2, more accessible and visually appealing than its predecessor, remains a complex old-school game that will appeal to fans of muscular combat. This difficulty, which is nevertheless the heart of the game, can however discourage newcomers or people who are not used to taking their heads. It remains ideal for those looking for a long-term experience, it might not suit casual players or fans of simplified mechanics like Diablo 4. Is the €27.75 supporter pack worth it despite the future free game? Yes, because it already offers much more than some recent AA or AAA. In early access, Path of Exile 2 still promises a lot (narration, new classes, end-game content, bug fixes). For an optimal and free experience, you can also wait for the final version. Solasta 2 is a role-playing game brimming with promise—potential just waiting to be realized—though bringing it to fruition will require time: both development time and playtime, in the hope of fulfilling the dreams of Dungeons & Dragons and RPG fans alike. More linear than other titles in the genre, it leverages its original setting, its fidelity to D&D, and its tactical combat as its true strengths. Unfortunately, the lack of freedom, the still-limited playtime, and the bugs encountered serve as reminders of its current state: that of an Early Access title. The FPS, yet using a particularly aging engine, therefore takes all the codes of its ancestors with bravery to allow players to evolve in levels built with intelligence, to participate in joyful and dynamic clashes and to observe sublime panoramas. In this first version released in Early Access, inZOI reveals itself to be an ambitious project, rich in innovative ideas and with undeniable potential. The graphics are stunning, and the character creator and the build mode are already very enjoyable to play. However, the game also highlights significant shortcomings, both technically and conceptually. The artificial intelligence lacks substance, and the open world, despite its size, is desperately empty and not very interactive. Social relationships, the pillar of life simulations, suffer from enormous inconsistencies and bugs that mar the experience. We can only believe in the promise of continuous improvements, supported by a detailed roadmap, which suggests a brighter future. As it stands, Super Dungeon Maker lays a solid foundation that early access will have to flesh out for the title to reveal its potential. Quite limited at the moment, whether in tutorials or elements and sometimes imprecise in its construction mode, the title of Firechick nevertheless has enough functions to create original and slightly complex dungeons, as evidenced by certain creations of the community which was able to push the game to its limits. It only remains for Super Dungeon Maker to remain attentive to the feedback of its followers, as is already the case today and to take advantage of early access to give substance to its ambitions. If you like first-person stealth/action games that leave plenty of room for creativity and the “retro” graphic style doesn't scare you, you can try Gloomwood's early access without any worries. This Victorian “Dishonored/Thief”, with an atmosphere close to a survival-horror, already benefits from an exceptional level design, making it possible to vary the approaches widely. The desire to offer “early 2000s PC gaming” sensations is there, very clearly, with however the necessary adjustments for a title coming out in 2022. The result is a mixture of very pleasant sensations, as if our Pentium MMX had miraculously crossed the ages, and that developers continued to release games there against all odds. However, we must be aware that this early access, impeccably clean, is only a big prologue and that the best is surely to come. [Early Access Score = 80]
