Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey wants to offer a kind of pseudo-realistic experience from the past, but forgets that there is a modern person behind the buttons who just wants to be entertained.

Explorers of Time is almost the same product as its two predecessors were a year ago. Its old fashioned gameplay mechanics unfortunately keep you from fully enjoying this basically decent game.

If you’re a fan of sci-fi classics Aliens: Colonial Marines will be worth a nostalgic trip down memory lane because of the authenticity in the game. Even the multiplayer is worth a shot, but the generic and boring single player mode will not entertain you for long. On nearly every field this game falls short and adds little to the first-person shooter genre.

WRC 3 doesn't have enough modes and drives quite horrendously. The only upside to the game are the licensed drivers and tracks. This, however, is not enough to qualify as a good racing game.

Episode 4 is a remarkably disappointing end to a very nice series. There is nothing left of the strong gameplay of Barry and Natalia at the end, and Claire and Moira do not add anything to the game anymore. It is such a pity, especially because our sympathy for this game grew every week and gets torn down in an instant.

Star Command couldn't live up to the expectations it set for itself. The great visual style and sharply written dialogue form the shell of a failed Kickstarter-project. Star Command lacks diversity, the entertaining space battles quickly become repetitive, the artificial intelligence is bad, it isn't well balanced and succumbs to a wealth of bugs.

Bound by Flame aims high, tries to take on Dark Souls and The Witcher, but disappoints. It's a shallow attempt at riding the success of other fantasy-franchises. It's full of cursing, moral decisions based on, well nothing, a standard setting and something that's supposed to resemble a combat system.

Weird, vague and repetitive, that is the best way to describe this game. The style and atmosphere are awesome, but everything feels like work. It could have been a communist version of Animal Crossing, but at this moment it is definitely too boring to reach that status.

I simply can’t recommend The Lord of the Rings: Conquest. The game is riddled with both minor and major mistakes, the camera is awful, it looks like a PlayStation 2-game, and the gameplay consists of little more than mindless hacking and slashing of countless enemies. The only positive aspect is the decent multiplayer-mode, but even that feels outdated, compared to Call of Duty 4, Gears of War 2 or anything in that direction.

Ten Euros for one hour of gameplay is simply too much when most of the content is rehashed from the original. The story is ridiculous and actually hurts Sam as a character. And because you can't use him in the main game, or upgrade him, there's not much fun to be had with him - aside from the optional VR-missions. Only the most dedicated fans could consider giving this a go. Everyone else: ignore this.

Yoshi's New Island is a huge letdown. It doesn't understand anything of what made the original so special and the result is a profoundly boring game in which high points are merely recognizing many reused elements.

This game is predictable and is simply not inspiring, but above all Homefront: The Revolution is a technical wreck. Even after day-one patch it is full of serious bugs, an unstable frame rate and other flaws that are simple inexcusable.

Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends looks good on paper: a huge amount of missions, a load of tracks to race on and an immense car lot. The game turns out to be Ferrari unworthy when you find out the difficulty is all over the place and the game turns into a bugfest. Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends could've used more time on the test track.

Mario Sport Superstars recycles a lot of things we have seen in other Mario-games and because of that it is not really a unique game. Most of the sports are okay, but it has all been done much better before.

C&C4 is a slap in the face for longtime fans of the series. So many things have changed that it just doesn’t feel the same anymore. It tries to bring you the best of both worlds but it fails miserably on both sides.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 proves two things: it’s tough to develop a good sniper game and even harder to turn that into a good multiplayer game. The single-player entertains in its first few hours, when not expecting too much on a technical side, because this is a budget-game. Unfortunately it’s blatantly obvious how scripted this game is and you’ll be slaughtering complete terrorist cells like Vasily Zaytsev trained you himself. The multiplayer’s been set up completely wrong, and it amounts to nothing more than camping, camping and more camping.

Just Cause 4 feels very familiar. In our opinion way too familiar and a bit too old. Especially when it comes to the technology behind it, Just Cause 4 is a real letdown.

    Rad
RAD has style and humor, but as a roguelike it is seriously lacking. The gameplay is not slick enough, the variation too limited and the different runs are same'ish very swiftly.

Call of Duty: Strike Team is another example of how shooters don't work on a smartphone. Shooting is sluggish and slow, which has you relying on auto-aiming throughout the entire game. The uninspired story is just as boring as the gameplay, which won't have you clamoring for more. The RTS-elements could offer some form of redemption, but these hardly work because of the average controls.

Pikmin was a good game back in 2002. Maybe Nintendo thought they should release it again. We rather wished they didn’t. The game is a complete waste of time. The game hasn’t changed a bit since the original and brings no new content. That’s just ridiculous. If you never played Pikmin before...here’s your chance...wooptiedoo!

For a true sandbox game on a handheld you should not get C.O.P. A large open world doesn’t make a game with the same quality as Chinatown Wars. No, C.O.P. is simply boring because the story is not interesting, there is little to do in the environments and that what remains in the game is just to repetitive.

Sorry Saint Seiya, but your old fashioned drawing style, super cliché dialogues and bad storytelling won't convince us. Neither will a few hours of 'entertainment', a simplistic combat system and repetitive nature. Too bad, because there's something about the simple Japanese storytelling that speaks to us, like Pokémon and Dragonball Z do.

There aren't many reasons to buy 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, because you might just as well get FIFA 2014. The big difference is, that FIFA 2014 has loads content that this version doesn't. It's not a bad soccer game by any means. There's just no reason for its existence.

Strafe looks like Quake when it comes to design and it refers to the classic first-person shooters from the 90's. However, as a roguelike and shooter Strafe is mainly a weak and unimpressive game.
