At the end of the day, All Star Cheer Squad 2 is an interesting attempt at recreating the Cheerleading world and dare I say that developers THQ have almost perfected it.

I commented in my review of the base game that Two Point Museum was a relatively chill experience when compared to the previous titles in the franchise, and this is still true while playing this. There isn’t much that can be said about Zooseum that can’t be said about the base game, so if you enjoyed that, you’ll likely enjoy this, only now with cute animals.

Space Venture definitely scratches some of the itches but also falls a little far of the mark. It’s not overly long (even with some frustrating late game problems to solve)… but the pop culture references and easter eggs plus the overall vibe do make it worth considering for fans of the original Space Quest games. It is still technically in Early Access so there’s a chance some of the issues will actually be fixed before it is officially released. As it is, given it’s not overly expensive… it might still be worth a look for fans of the original games.

For newcomers to the series some of the brutal 90s difficulty may be too much to take, but give it a chance, you just might like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on the Nintendo Switch.

With a healthy amount of new questions, for now, this is the definitive version of Trivial Pursuit on the iPad and iPad 2.

In conclusion, Nintendogs + Cats is definitely made for the girl/woman gamer, although I'm sure boys and guys will get a kick out of the title as well. The gameplay is quite simplistic at the best of times, hence the ability that this game can be played by all ages and my only issue is that there could have been a few more tweaks to what was available to the player.

Though not without its flaws/quirks… Flint: Treasure of Oblivion is still a very worthy game. The ability to find dice re-rolls is helpful… learning that you should save them for special/more critical occasions is game changing. Whilst it might have been nice to rotate the camera during normal exploration… the visuals are nice enough that it’s still a pleasure to make your way through this storied world. Grab it if you want a more structured, storied pirate adventure.

Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel is not only brutally challenging but also very satisfying that is made for people who enjoy this genre and it plays remarkably well on the Steam Deck with responsive controls and only occasional performance hiccups. It’s not without frustrations as the difficulty spikes, reliance on RNG and late‑game grind can make the experience uneven once the early novelty wears off. But if you enjoy survivor‑style games and want something with a darker, more atmospheric twist, this is absolutely worth your time, so expect a mix of triumphant runs and the occasional boss that ends your hopes before you can blink.

Adorable Adventures is a relaxed exploration game that focuses on guiding you through nature using scent-based tracking and simple discovery mechanics. It blends light puzzles, environmental interaction, and optional activities into a steady flow that encourages curiosity over challenge. Overall, it delivers a calm, low-pressure experience built around exploration, collection, and small moments of progression.

There's still some way to go to make the JWE franchise a viable management sim, but this sequel goes a long way to right a lot of its predecessor's wrongs.

Moonlighter is a fun, unique mashup of 2D dungeon crawler meets small business simulator.

Disney could have easily created a cash-in with half the attention to detail and called it quits, but Dreamlight Valley is absolutely jam-packed with cosy, heartwarming interactions, a great gameplay loop and a ton of character. The best thing about it all? The only thing holding you back is your imagine (and maybe one or two fetch quests).

Old Skies is a surprisingly touching cyberpunk adventure with some great performances and neat time-hopping twists to the standard point-and-click formula.

A fun, light-hearted entry into the now packed Boomer Shooter genre that does enough different to stand out from the pack. Its addition of bullet-hell style mechanics and use of comedy make this one worth a look.

Ultimately it’s a party game. If you like minigames, multiplayer with friends or family then this could be a good option for you. If you prefer something with a more familiar character set or simply more content then I’d be inclined to say opt for Mario Party Superstars.

IXION is a game packed with good ideas and great execution which is a rare combo these days. The gameplay is rather innovative for a city-building title and the story is no short of a well-made Sci-Fi movie. IXION is a must-play for city-building lovers!

Descenders is an exhilirating downhill mountain biking game with responsive controls, interesting progression mechanics and a fantastic sense of speed.

Game of Thrones The Lost Lords Episode Two of Six is another excellent addition to this choice driven game based on the excellent HBO TV series.

Company of Heroes 2 Ardennes Assault is an honest portray of World War II via a real-time strategy game.

Bayonetta on the Nintendo Switch is a very fun experience on this console and it feels like a bad 70’s action movie and the story, characters and quirkiness of the gameplay is pure ingenious. The combat is quite fluid and diverse and whether you’re shooting, kicking or summoning demons, everything comes together perfectly. For male gamers, it does help that the character is oozing with sex appeal and even though some of the close-ups or open leg shots may be a little too much for some, it dares to be different and proves that a game can not only be fun but sexy as well.

Life is Strange Episode 1 Chrysalis on the PS4 is an interesting adventure game that mimics a TV series and uses player choice as the catalyst quite well.

A fun speed-running game with tons of replayability. Jetrunner doesn't really do anything new for the genre, but everything it does, it does well.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is an excellent remake of an already fantastic JRPG. Despite some drawbacks, the game sports several well-crafted features that hardcore fans will appreciate.

A stellar debut with intriguing story, beautiful visual style and satisfying action RPG combat systems.

I haven’t quite wrapped up my time with Mark of the Deep yet, but as my first playthrough shows signs of coming to a close, I can’t help but feel that this is one the best games of its kind in a while. The genre is overloaded with Hades, Curse of the Gods, and Hollow Knight knock-offs, and it’s difficult for games akin to the Greats to really stand on their own. That’s where Mark of the Deep comes in. It does enough to tick off what I want from a Soulsike-come-Metroidvania(ish) to deserve your attention while still doing its own thing; I just wish one of these fish guys had a map or two on hand.

aptain Toad’s Special Episode is a worthwhile purchase for anyone that enjoyed the original Captain Toad campaign and is looking for more of the same. The two new game modes are welcome additions that work well to freshen up the experience, however if you were turned off by the simplicity of the base game, nothing in this DLC will change your mind.

Overall, Naval War: Arctic Circle offers a great simulation experience for military buffs and fans of the genre.

Ancestors Legacy is a fun and content-packed historical RTS with great tactical squad-based combat and engaging single-player campaigns.
