This is a must have for anyone who owns Red Dead Redemption. In case you are wondering, yes it is worth it even if you don't play multiplayer.

Offering a new element to Red Dead Redemption, one of this year's best titles, Undead Nightmare refreshes everyone's mind on the title right during award season.

Undead Nightmare is an awesome variant of the main story of Red Dead Redemption, that comes for a very cheap price (considering what it has to offer). The single player experience is long and well done, but the real surprise is the new multiplayer mode. The Horde is the most intense and funny multiplayer mode in this game. No doubts about it.

Very extensive add-on for the western game, with an enjoyable new scenario, new items and an unbeatable sense of humour. But in comparison to the original game, the story is too simple and the controls in melee combat are annoying.

Undead Nightmare is a fairly lengthy DLC pack with a bunch of new features. The story is straightforward and there are not a lot of mission types but the Stranger quests, new weapons, new mounts, and the challenges all add much needed variety. The multiplayer additions are nothing too special but they are appreciated and add a few more hours of fun to the whole experience.

For Wild West virgins, it's an entertaining package, if just shy of an essential purchase. [Jan 2011, p.96]

Even though this new story could have been a little more varied in its missions, one can only salute, once again, the talent of the studio. Marvelously implemented, and surprisingly adequate when combined with the western theme, this interpretation of the classic zombie myth is both comprehensive and efficient. The gameplay is profoundly (and interestingly) changed, and as usual with Rockstar, the value for price factor remains its strongest selling point.

Rockstar certainly know how to make it fun, two examples being the Lost and Damned and of course The Ballad of Gay Tony for GTA 4. But for their cowboy sandbox title, they pulled out all the stops and added zombies. That's right, ZOMBIES. The environments look creepier, there are zombie animals and in order to save your game in a town you have to clear out the town of undead. There are some new weapons such as Holy Water, the Blunderbuss and my personal favorite, the flaming Torch. Most of the characters from the main campaign return and all the voices are done by the original actors. So far my only gripes are that the zombies are getting repetitive and its annoying when settlements are constantly being attacked. Now if they could just make a zombie DLC for GTA 4.... Expand

I finished it in 2 short evenings, and actually thought the end was a halfway point until nothing else happened. Red dead redemption was a Legend. This game was a profanity. They should never have boxed this game. It only tarnishes the memory of the original. Expand
