Blastpoints does make a decent attempt in the space-genre, let down slightly by unresponsive, clunky controls and an overly-expensive, IAP-encouraging shop. Not having a backstory limits the longevity especially with games like Galaxy On Fire 2 out there.- Impulsegamer

Starhawk is a decent shooter adventure game on the PS3 that is slightly hampered by the short campaign mode. The main aim of the game is multiplayer that is starting to develop a good community. Overall, it's a decent game and there's plenty of action to be found online and in the multiplayer co-op modes.- Impulsegamer

It’s not going to convert anyone who didn’t enjoy the previous titles but for those seeking a hectic and family friendly take on the online shooter genre, there’s a lot to like here.- Impulsegamer

Overall if you like the recent Shantae games you will like Seven Sirens. Do not expect anything game changing from this game as it is more of a follow on continuation from the previous game in terms of style and substance. If you are looking for a Metroidvania game to play this may not quite scratch that itch. The collection process can feel laborious at times but it does add towards the replay ability of the game.- Impulsegamer

Although a solid offering overall, one can’t help but feel that the series has taken a step backwards in terms of the content available as well as the era depicted.- Impulsegamer

A charming, modern take on a classic style of Zelda. Zelda is able to carry the weight of main character like the strong Princess she is. Now it's Link's turn to be the damsel!- Impulsegamer

I really enjoyed Out There: Oceans Of Time and would recommend it, it’s not overly challenging (it’s pretty easy to maintain the ship once you get the hang of it) and planetary threats are fairly easily managed… so if you prefer a tougher challenge it might not be your thing, but if you enjoy a good cosmic adventure this could be worth a look.- Impulsegamer

Don't Stop, Girlypop! swaps gritty realism for pink chrome and chaos, and brings the bold, feminine energy the FPS genre was missing.- Impulsegamer

As a concept I give the game full marks… the idea of learning a language via something as fun as gaming is brilliant. Unfortunately it’s a little rough around the edges and that might put some people off… but if you are keen to learn a new language (and there are a number on offer here)… this just might be good for helping supplement other forms of learning. I’m not sure it would be enough on its own… but it would certainly be a nice break from book after book after book. Worth a look if you want to get into learning other languages… but don’t expect it to be a total solution.- Impulsegamer

Ultimately I came for the matching game and stayed for the stories as there are some really lovely ones here… I think my favourite (so far) was with the cheerleader and her difficult life with her famous mother and sick brother. A big recommendation if you like either visual novels or matching games.- Impulsegamer

If you have a soft spot for weird curios, hidden gems, and fond memories of playing strange arcade cabs in holiday resorts as a child. You’ll likely end up on one hell of a nostalgia trip playing Taito Milestones 3.- Impulsegamer

There’s a lot to enjoy in Planet Coaster and you will certainly get out of it what you put in. Play it for the challenges or simply enter Sandbox and make an amusement park to rival Disney Land or Movie World. If you have kids… use the first person camera and as the game takes you along the Roller Coaster, put your arms up and wave them around as if you were actually on it and watch your kids reactions.- Impulsegamer

Memoranda is a unique and interesting game. There is something both beautiful and sad to this story which draws you into its surreal world. With over 30 different characters and locations there is plenty to explore, and I definitely enjoyed it the more I played it. However, just make sure you have a pen and paper handy for those puzzles!- Impulsegamer

Mario & Luigi: Brothership is a role-playing game with a compelling combat system, beautiful graphics, and catchy melodies. While the blanketing narrative comes off as assertively obnoxious with interminable conversations mixed with a tiresomely obtuse progressive system, the flow of the game and everything in between is just peachy.- Impulsegamer

Overall it’s not a bad game… but I certainly wouldn’t be paying full price for it. The basic gameplay sees you moving from one room to another, collecting items where required and otherwise basically working out puzzles. The result is it feels like you are just overcoming obstacles to walking to the next spot… some of the puzzles don’t really seem to fit either… presumably ancient trap builders put puzzles on their doors but they just feel out of place.- Impulsegamer

It is utterly solid, compelling to play, and at a price point you cannot argue with. It is also pretty cheap to buy comparative to other titles, and whilst not a AAA title, looks and plays like one. It is a short game that you can get through in a few hours if you do not explore, but even that will still give you a good experience, but one I doubt you will return to unless you loved the story like I did. Give it a shot.- Impulsegamer

Slinger VR works on a few levels at least (no pun intended… well maybe a little). The first is the core game which is a progressively more challenging puzzle world with growing dangers as you move further through the worlds. But the second is just the fun of being able to fling yourself around a landscape and you really do get that web slinger feel (yet totally devoid of anything that might be deemed copyright infringing!). To top it all off, the price is pretty decent for what you get too. If you want a bit of grappling, swinging VR fun… I would recommend Slinger VR!- Impulsegamer

Overall Spidersaurs is a very good example of a modern take on the run and gun, whilst it doesn’t quite have the depth that some people may be looking for it certainly fills a gap in the quick play genre and is good for a travel journey or a quick game during lunch break. If you like the vibe of games like Contra, Metal Slug and TMNT then I would suggest giving this game a try.- Impulsegamer

This is a great game if you are interested in learning about the deep sea and the creatures that inhabit it. There isn’t much of a ‘story’ happening here but that’s not really needed when the main task of the game is the learn and explore. It is a perfect way to pass some time but it is not for those who want more of an action/thrill element of a game that features dangerous underwater creatures.- Impulsegamer

Metro Awakening is a solid VR title and a fantastic addition to the Metro series. As a fan of both the Metro books and games, being immersed in the world so completely was always an exciting prospect, and Vertigo did not disappoint. The Arizona Sunshine dev has created a highly detailed and almost palpable VR version of Glukhovsky’s doomed transit-system-come-fallout-shelter that is as compelling as it is terrifying. If you’re hankering for more Metro or simply looking for your next PSVR2 fix I can heartily recommend Metro Awakening.- Impulsegamer

This is a very professional and well done title, and the end of the day, it is still a brain training game. It is not pushing any boundaries. Everything that it sets out to do, is done well and as Nintendo has shown this sort of game works with the hand held.- Impulsegamer

Ultimately, I love the Civilization franchise, I love what this new DLC can offer… but I hate the way games are broken up and sold as parts to make more money. I wouldn’t be too comfortable paying the price for two new civilizations, especially knowing that there was more content in that purchase that I couldn’t use unless I also paid for another DLC. If you are a die hard fan… you are likely to get this (maybe wait for a sale or get it in a pack)… but otherwise you have to ask yourself if you are really going to get enough out of playing through the game with a couple of new civilizations to justify the price tag.- Impulsegamer

I’d love to be better at the game, but that seems unlikely to happen. With that being said, I would still heartily recommend it… provided you keep in mind the frequent dying and need for precision timing etc… if that sort of challenge is up your alley then I think you will find a lot of fun here!- Impulsegamer
