Triangle Strategy serves up plenty of treats for players. An intrigue-filled story with well-written characters and deep combat are just a few. Classic pixel-art visuals and excellent sound design definitely add to it. Is the game worth picking up? In my opinion – yes, even several years after its release.- Impulsegamer

Due to the steep learning curve, Yggdrasil will not be to everyone's taste and does require a lot of patience. It does reward though with one of the better hard-to-master thinking-man's board games out there. Although for the impatient amongst you, it will punish.- Impulsegamer

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age is great. It was great in 2017 on the PS4. It’s greater now on the Switch. It looks amazing and the frame rate is consistent in the dock and in handheld. The price point is an issue. A port of a game more than a decade old should not cost the same as a full price Triple A new release title. There are indie games on the Nintendo Shop that are amazing for only a fraction of the price. Hell the original PS4 version of the Zodiac Age can be found in most stores of $25 and it is ostensibly the same game. If you can find a copy on sale, it is an essential title to add to your Switch library.- Impulsegamer

If you’re a souls fanatic, then getting this is a no-brainer and, in terms of amount of content, by all reports it’s almost double that of Ashes of Ariandel, making The Ringed City even better value for money.- Impulsegamer

For the price point, especially if you like gaming with friends, I’d say it’s a great option… if you’ve got kids and perhaps aren’t too sure about letting them loose with your expensive headset… this could be a great way to include them in your VR gaming without as much of a fear of breakages.- Impulsegamer

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants can be romped through in a single sitting, but despite its fairly short run time, there’s still some fantastic new brainteasers that make you feel like a clever archaeology professor and some atmospheric new areas to whipcrack your way through like a nazi-punching archaeology professor. What I’m trying to say is that even though it’ll only take you as long as rewatching a couple old George Lucas films about a tomb-raiding archaeology professor. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants is a welcome stopgap until Machine Games returns with another fantastic fascist-thumping adventure starring everyone’s favourite archaeology professor.- Impulsegamer

Despite its sometimes gruelling difficulty, Crossover is something of a genius idea. Taking three relatively simple ideas that couldn’t be further apart on the gaming spectrum and merging them into one, on paper, sounds like a recipe for disaster, but there’s something about Crossover that just keeps me coming back for more. Even when it frustrates me, surviving a round with my health battered, my armour gone and only my most basic attack left is wickedly satisfying stuff, pushing me to continue to see just how far I can get. Crossover: Roll for Initiative is casual gaming, there’s no escaping that, but it’s casual gaming for gamers.- Impulsegamer

The control issues should be easily rectified by an update in the future and the slightly underwhelming story does little to distract from the gleeful destruction and chaos that forms the crux of the title.- Impulsegamer

The Switch port of Torchlight 2 is an impressive product overall. The game looks just as good in both portable and docked mode as it does on the PC, with no technical issues in sight. I can’t help but be disappointed with the restrictions on the local multiplayer, however the online play works well if you can find someone to team up with. The procedurally generated nature of the game also suits the design ethos of the Switch and offers exceptional replayability. Fans of ARPG’s won’t need much convincing to pick this one up, but if you’re new to the genre, then this is the perfect time to jump in.- Impulsegamer

Dreams of Another, much like the Richard Linklater movie it reminds me of, isn’t for everyone; it’s disjointed, abstract, and constructed in a way that is purposefully designed to confuse and, at times, frustrate. However, if you’re the kind of person who has an appreciation for games as art and enjoys seeing genre conventions turned on their head to brilliant effect, Dreams of Another is one slice of philosophical gaming whimsy you won’t want to sleep on.- Impulsegamer

In conclusion, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning provides another immersive gaming experience that will force many people to lock themselves up again while they complete this game. It's also a strange game that uses modern RPG elements and also classic RPG elements that creates this strange hybrid RPG system that works on most levels but may feel dated for some. Given that, if you're a fan of RPG titles and need something after your Skyrim addiction, than Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning may be the perfect game to fill that spot!- Impulsegamer

Ultimately, though, if it’s your first time playing the series, Yakuza Kiwami is a decent place to start. Though technically, Yakuza 0 is the beginning of Majima and Kiryu’s stories, Kiwami is a fairly faithful remake of the original game from way back in 2005, so presents the actual beginning of the tale, as it was initially meant to be told (aside from a couple of bits to tie it to 0). It also doesn’t quite have the same flair or scope that much later entries have (technically 0 is the 6th). That being said, it also doesn’t have the level of bloat that many of the later entries have, and the Switch 2 port is incredibly slick and, like Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut before it, is an absolute joy to play either docked or in handheld mode.- Impulsegamer

You don’t have to play the games in order (though the story may work a little better that way)… so if you get stuck in one you can always jump out and have a go at another and then come back later. The challenge starts low but increases at a decent pace as you go so you will feel like you are on top of things one moment only to find the urge to rage quit building as you are a few levels deep. But as tends to be the case with these games… perseverance pays off and that sense of victory is all the sweeter for having to really work for it. You really can’t go past the value, three full games for the price of one and a really top notch high def update. A great addition for the new initiate or for the nostalgic buff.- Impulsegamer

Mulan 2125 is an episodic VR cinematic experience that drops viewers into a post-apocalyptic future where Mulan must navigate a fractured world to uncover her father’s secrets. Visually stunning and immersive, the first episode combines high-end CG environments with subtle interactivity, giving a taste of VR storytelling’s potential. While the narrative has minor pacing and technical hiccups, it’s a thrilling first step into a new era of episodic, immersive cinema.- Impulsegamer

In the end, Lock On Platinum is a very realistic game that contains a rather steep learning curve. If you have never played a simulator before, the realism may turn you off but if you are after a very realistic and engaging flight simulator, than this is the game. The attention to detail is amazing and even the subtleties are there from the slight differences between the US and Russian planes.- Impulsegamer

Princess Peach Showtime is a nice break away from our favourite plumber and his brother and while I enjoyed this as an older gamer, it definitely does have a more younger gamer appeal. Even so, it’s quite a clever premise and if you’re looking for something a little different, check out the demo via the Nintendo store and if you like it, Princess Peach Showtime might be the fun you’re looking for.- Impulsegamer

Aside from a few technical hiccups (on Switch at least), Blood: Refreshed Supply is another solid console port of a stone-cold classic from the masters of the remaster at Night Dive studios. What’s most impressive, though, is how well Blood holds up. Much like the horror movies that inspired it, Blood is just as silly and violent as it ever was, but it’s also a masterclass of tight level design, an arsenal of satisfying and strange weaponry, and some of the biggest booms in gaming. If you’re the kind of sicko that loves a good retro shooter, Blood: Refreshed Supply is worth the sweat and occasional tears.- Impulsegamer

Planet Zoo isn’t for casual sim fans. It’s big, it’s complicated and it’s demanding, but it’s also an impressively intricate creativity tool for anyone who grew up wishing Zoo Tycoon had a bit more going for it. With so much content, even more to come, and a fanbase and developer who constantly share their ideas and love for the genre throughout the wonderful Workshop, it’s hard to imagine a simulation doing it better than this.- Impulsegamer

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 is still the best wrestling series available and features everything fan girls and boys need for their home console experience. The action is fun, the control system is improved but best of all, it's all that customisation that is given to the player that makes this game so competent. It's a good all rounder game!- Impulsegamer
