Night in the Woods is a charming game. I was fascinated by its general atmosphere, graphics and music, which I found amazing. It’s a good adventure overall, with very well written dialogue, but its bare mechanics made it relatively boring for me. The player doesn’t really have to do that much, remaining extremely passive. It’s interesting how the designers were able to deal with difficult themes such as depression, anxiety and child abuse in a very congenial way, without sounding too inane or obnoxious, but they did put a lot of accent on these aspects making the real plot marginal.

LEGO 2K Drive is a racing game suitable for younger players and fans of the famous Danish bricks. Still, it is not highly recommended for those seeking a more severe and refined driving experience. However, Visual Concepts has created a motorized adventure full of activities and mini-games, supported by many contents that aesthetically follow the cheerful philosophy of the colorful LEGO universe. Although it is a fun racing game, especially if played with other players, the poor management of the game economy and other more or less essential defects end up limiting its potential.

My Hero Academia: All’s Justice is sure to delight fans of the series. It serves as a fitting celebration of the long journey of Izuku Midoriya and the other protagonists, a journey that has moved and entertained audiences around the world for years. Early Days Collection is a great compilation, certainly aimed at enthusiasts but also at those who want to discover the origins of Yu-Gi-Oh! stripping it of the many complicated mechanics added in the over twenty-five years history of the franchise. Not all the videogames featured have aged very well but seeing the evolution of Yu-Gi-Oh! starting from the simplicity of the beginnings has its charm, and the presence of titles previously relegated to Japan is an undisputable added value. The game suffers a bit from its cross-gen nature and its Nintendo Switch origins in terms of graphics, but this time around performance is not to be faulted. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a great game, then, with many strengths, and it also has the value and quality of ending on a high note.
