Alien Spidy is a platformer that features challenging level design and nice visuals, but the gameplay is not there to back it up. The scoring targets are often too hard, and are made worse by the poor movement controls. There is potential for a good game here, it just lacks the overall quality needed, which is a shame.

Another World is a short experience, and those five words are the only negative ones I can come up with. Despite getting (embarrassingly) stuck on some puzzles, and having to play the game’s last sequence a few times, I finished the game in about five hours. Yet I didn’t feel gipped, I didn’t feel let down, or like there should have been more to it. As I watched the game’s ending, I just felt a sense of satisfaction. This was five hours of my time that I enjoyed immensely, frustration-inducing moments and all.

Unless you want to complete both endings and complete your collection of cogs, the game is a little on the short side. But with such a wonderfully presented story and artwork, there is no reason why you wouldn’t run through Freedom Fall again.

Overall, the story was interesting, the puzzles had just the right mix of challenge and logic, and I enjoyed almost every minute of playing. Nancy Drew: Ghost of Thornton Hall didn't disappoint and kept me riveted until it was over, too soon. I'll be looking forward to the next instalment in the Nancy Drew series – though I might wait until I have some real free time before I buy it!

Cook, Serve, Delicious! isn’t trying to impress you that much, it is just all serving up a healthy dose of fun with a side helping of frenzied action.

But that aside, NBA 2K14 continues to do the main things right when it comes to a basketball game.

There are plenty of good hack’n’slash games out there, many involving vampires, and this isn’t one of them.

Tank Operations: European Campaign turned out to be a little difficult to get into, but once you ‘get it’, it gets you. It’s not fancy and it isn’t breaking any new grounds either, but it knows that and isn’t ashamed of it. All it needs to do is offer turn-by-turn strategic decisions that matter, and it does that very well indeed.

The addon would be good value for money and get a heartily made recommendation at half the price and a nod of approval at $15.

Computer users will desire something more, and although there are some unique mechanics here, the overall product just comes across as being pretty mediocre.

In many ways, The Japanese Incentive makes Omerta feel like a more complete game. The turf war mechanic could certainly have been fleshed out a little more but it is easily the primary reason for picking up this expansion as it has a tremendous effect on how dynamic the strategic maps feel.

The final gripe I have with the game is the biggest one. At a specific point in what I will assume to be the game's final act, it crashes. After loading several times and finally replaying the entire plot in order to see if it was the save file itself, I can safely conclude that the game itself is the issue.

This dark swordsman is one mysterious figure that needs to stride off back into the night.

The game is undoubtedly not for everyone, but if you'd like a wholly different experience within a relaxing atmosphere spent bringing colour to a world in dire need of it, then I suggest you get Cube and Star: An Arbitrary Love.

The game suffers from some pacing issues, both with a mostly unexciting and forgettable campaign tale and some very high XP requirements for unit progression, but it’s also got redeeming qualities in a great visual style, distinct faction playstyles, and a plethora of strategic unit options.

OMG Zombies! is a competent and bloody puzzle game that manages to be entertaining despite its simple structure. It may grow old on you quickly due to a lack of variety in the game modes, but for what it is worth the game is a fun little ride on the gore train.

Major Mayhem is an entertaining little game that manages to charm despite its limitations. With a cute art style and simple yet effective gameplay, it remains a fun side-scroller.

This is a game to play when you are waiting around for something, need to quickly blow off some steam, or if you’re a maniacal completionist. The depth behind the simplistic control scheme is impressive up to a point, until it all starts to get a bit samey.

All in all, Kingdom Tales is probably best suited as a way of introducing youngsters into full-blown real-time strategies than anything else.

I had a lot of fun scratching my brain over this game and will recommend it to anyone who enjoys relaxing in front of their screens with a mouse in one hand and a hot cup of coffee in the other. It does have some issues, but those are easily overlooked in the light of the game's variety of puzzles and brain teasers.

On the whole, the game feels like it was designed in patches with no one overseeing the quality of the end product.

Riptide is a franchise that made its home on mobile devices, and that’s probably where it should stay.

While I may not suggest buying this title in comparison to others, if you've already played all that you feel like playing, but are looking for a decent time killer with an RPG flavor, Quest of Dungeons may be worth checking out.

In the end, it all boils down to the pacing. The story moves at glacial pace, and the interactive moments are too few and far between. The unfortunate result is that playing Icebound feels like watching snow melt.

The 'quests' are quite simply surviving through waves of enemies on different levels, and then on occasion you fight a boss or protect an NPC as you work your way through. That's it. No really, that's all there is to this game.

If you’re looking for something to scare the pants off of you, look very far in the other direction. Because Overcast isn’t a bad horror game. It’s just not a very good game at all.

The game truly feels like a beta that’s still using placeholder animations and sounds until it can be polished and filled with content, but it’s not a beta, and because of this Starlight Inception needs to be put on the no-fly list.

Farming World has some value as an educational tool for young teenagers interested in farming, but as a game it lacks the personality and depth required to actually make it fun.
