Salt and Sacrifice is like Salt and Sanctuary, just less ugly – at the same time, it's definitely more than just '2-D Dark Souls.' Indeed, this game blends the Souls, Hollow Knight and Monster Hunter in nearly perfect proportions.

Metro: Exodus requires patience during the long cut-scenes and way too extensive dialogues, but it's worth it. The new Metro offers unique, superb gameplay full of amazing locations and a magnificent atmosphere. Don't wait for Half-Life 3 - in my opinion, you can get the same amount of fun today.

Nintendo once again reaches back to the past to bring back one of its best games - the mobile adventures of a certain warrior in a green outfit. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is basically a brand new game that generates tons of fun even without the cult surrounding the series. If not for some technical issues, it would have been perfect.

Wanderlust is a novelty video game. While it does use some mechanics known from more typical games, you need to keep one thing in mind if you want to give it a chance (which you should): this is first and foremost a story about travelling, in which feelings play the central role.

F1 2013 is a better and more varied game than its predecessor - Codemasters fixed issues and filled in some missing gameplay options. The new F1 Classics mode is great, but has far too little content. There's no revolution in the virtual Formula 1 world, just a simple return to the right path. The new F1 is a well made and really pretty racing game that generates lots of fun - and that's the most important thing.

Planet Coaster is a game that not only matches classic tycoon games in quality - it surpasses them in many ways. If you have a designer's soul or a crazy architect's touch and like to create beautiful, detailed amusement parks, you couldn't have found a better game. Planet Coaster really is one of the best. It would be perfect if only it had a better, more complicated economy mechanism.

Shadow Warrior 3 could be considered as one of the best action games of the year. However, the world will probably forget about it during the coming months, just as it forgot The Medium by December of 2021. It's a short but sweet, and really fun game.

A very good product. The difference between this game and Firefly's previous game is devastating. Crusader II is basically Crusader wearing Stronghold 3, and that's not a bad thing. To be honest, the campaign could have been better, the interface clearer and the graphics prettier, but all in all the end result is worthy of praise from the fans.

Despite small budget and rather unimposing preview materials, Darksiders III turns out a great game. Gunfire Games deserve a standing ovation and a truckload of money. D3 is a game born from true passion and genuine love for the series.

Hearts of Iron IV has some not especially well-done economical solutions but at the same time has such a great combat system, wide scope and a very complex gameplay that it's a perfect game for seasoned strategy fans. All of this is also quite pretty and much more approachable for newbies (without sacrificing anything along the way).

Resident Evil Requiem continues the series' winning streak, once again bringing fans everything that is best about it – and this time in a way that satisfies both action and horror enthusiasts. Although the numerous references to previous installments mean that Requiem cannot be recommended to completely new players, I wasn't bored for a moment. This is not a requiem for the Resident Evil series – but a tribute to its thirty-year legacy.

Respawn Entertainment's new game is worthy of recommendation. The single-player campaign is a welcome and well made addition. On the other hand, multiplayer has been altered in a minimal way but that's ok - if it works well don't "fix" it. Simply put, Titanfall 2 is one of the best shooters around. Period.

Total War: Three Kingdoms is worth your time. To put things in a simple way - it's a superb strategy game that deals with a relatively unknown part of history. There are no flaws in terms of gameplay mechanics - it's a great Total War game that keeps to the series' high standards and quality.

Doom has a great solo campaign and a so-so multiplayer mode. Fortunately the single-player portion of the game is the most important and Doom shines spectacularly on this field. It's a pity that there are some technical issues that keep you from fully enjoying the game. One or two big patches will remedy the situation but right now Doom's evident greatness sometimes becomes a bit overshadowed by minor flaws.

Grandeur and epicness have caused a little bit of harm to Ragnarok - the 2018 God of War is by all means a better game. Not all new things work in the sequel. Still, I believe that this is a game worth checking out, and if you liked the first one - you simply HAVE to.

Don't dismiss the Hawaiian atmosphere and old gameplay core right off the bat. Pokémon Sun has some cool improvements and is diverse enough to make it feel almost as good as legendary Pokémon X, Y or Black and White. Fans of the series don't need convincing but everyone else should give the new Pokémon game a chance - Sun is made for playing.

A few minor flaws can't ruin this truly great game. Almost everything in Age of Wonders: Planetfall has been done perfectly. The futuristic world turned out great, the satirical atmosphere is refreshing, and the combination of the best parts of Civilization and XCOM resulted in such an addictive game that the developers should warn about it beforehand.

Shadow of Mordor takes lots from other games but offers enough originality to make it worth your while. You should be even more interested if you're a fan of Jackson's movies - Monolith's game is based first and foremost on this particular license. The game mixes slasher and stealth elements very well, presents a juicy and brutal piece of Middle-earth's story and proves that neglecting this universe isn't a good thing.

2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is a proof that you can create a World Cup-themed FIFA game with lots of new features and an atmosphere of this great sporting event. We get official teams, pretty stadiums, special game modes and more aggressive AI on the football field. This game can be proudly called a high quality official virtual counterpart to the real thing.

The Legend of Dead Kel is an almost perfect DLC - a long, engrossing adventure full of new stuff. There are some weaker missions and the main character isn't the most interesting one, but the overall high quality casts a bright light on those minor flaws. I recommend this DLC to all Amalur fans.

The newest game about Transformers is a worthy successor to War for Cybertron. The same dynamic gameplay is now enriched with new elements, that make Fall of Cybertron an even more enjoyable game. It has a big, engrossing campaign, a beautiful Cybertron and a cool multiplayer mode (that you'll invest many hours in). High Moon Studios' game is something great not only for the fans of giant robots. If you want fast and playable action - you'll find it here.

Forza Motorsport 6 is one of the best installments in the series but Forza 4 still wears the crown. You could ask yourself why this series isn't simply growing from game to game and why the players are getting "only" tweaked graphics and different car and track lists. Perhaps the developers are still looking for a perfect mix of arcade and simulation or they do not want to give us a "perfect Forza" - would we wait for a next game if that were the case?

The decision to transform Dying Light 2’s second DLC into a full game was a right one. Dying Light: The Beast is a big, new adventure that blends well all the best parts of DL, DL2 and The Following. PS4 owners have finally gotten one of the best games of 2015. This version of Rise of the Tomb Raider has been enhanced with add-ons and new game modes and as such is an instant "must have". All the great things about Lara's adventure are still in effect and the only chance to receive a better game of this kind is with the next installment of the series.

Ultimately, Battlefield 6 is simply a really, really good entry in the series. Not as good as Battlefield 4 , but definitely the best in years. It already makes me want to play match after match and unlock every available weapon and attachment, and I think that feeling will only intensify as the game develops. The somewhat reduced scale and increased emphasis on infantry might seem controversial, but ultimately, it's still incredibly addictive. And who knows, maybe we'll get larger maps focused on tank battles in the future? However, such speculation aside, Battlefield 6 is already a game worth recommending upon release. No other game on the market offers this kind of experience, and here most of the gameplay elements have been meticulously crafted. All that's left is to wait for the servers to fill up with players and then get into the fight.

At the start of its early access run, Masters of Albion shows no signs of reinventing the god simulator genre – because it doesn’t even come close to that subgenre; it merely pretends id does. It’s just a run-of-the-mill game: colourful and pretty, with an exciting building system and a story you can play through. And that’s about it, because the rest is either in its infancy or simply not very interesting.
