Obduction is a gift for fans of Myst. Creators of the hit series from the past have created a well written and perfectly executed story that engages the player. Beware - it is a game for patient people that like to wander around in confusion while looking for a solution to another difficult puzzle. Despite some minor technical issues the entire experience was really satisfying.

Total War: Warhammer II is a really well made sequel. It improves lots of tiny gameplay elements and, as a result, there is more fun to be had and you can really feel the strategic & tactical elements. Great map, cool world and quite a complex storyline make you forget about some inevitable simplifications.

Journey of the Cursed King on Nintendo 3DS is the definitive version of Dragon Quest VIII. All the improvements and upgrades from the basic PS2 version work great and new content makes it appealing to old fans. I'm certain that every jRPG fan should own this particular game.

Mass Effect: Andromeda deserves a high overall rating thanks to a multithreaded storyline that picks up the pace further into the game, thanks to a new combat system and some interesting characters and dialogues. There are some issues (animations and AI are among them) but overall Andromeda is a worthy addition to this acclaimed series.

The Banner Saga is a very unique game - an excellent mix of cRPG and tactical battles with a compelling story, interesting characters and wonderful, cartoonish graphics. It's definitely not a game for everyone, but fans of complex stories will be overjoyed. And in case they are fans of Scandinavian hero stories and love sad fables as well, The Banner Saga is a must buy.

The Witcher 3 is a game aiming for highest praise - you simply can't get enough of it. The need to see what happens next kept me glued to the console for many more hours than I had planned. Unfortunately the The Wild Hunt isn't perfect - the number of smaller and bigger issues can surprise (in a bad way, of course). It is an amazing game but right now the amount of bugs is simply too high.

It's a good thing that PC gamers can finally get to know Disgaea - both installments are really good. Disgaea 2 is a game for fans of tactical games with Japanese flavor. It's all very charming funny and full of deliberate cheesiness. What's more the character development system and the combat system are great and the system requirements are low.

Despite technical issues you simply have to notice the quality of Dragon's Dogma 2. The developers ignored the trends and created a game focused strongly on a great idea for exploration and combat. It's a truly unique action RPG.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is one of the best expansions in the history of MMORPGs. It turns FFXIV's storyline upside down, introduces cool new classes and has an amazing soundtrack. It won't appeal to people who don't like FFXIV, but the fans should be in awe. It has everything they like, but it's bigger and better.

Assassin's Creed III is a really good AAA game that sucks you in after a brief contact. Unfortunately there are some things missing, and minor flaws can be observed, and those things prevent me from considering Ubisoft's new game as something truly extraordinary. It has everything a game from this series should have, but after watching the end credits there's a feeling that something is lacking. Assassin's Creed III isn't such a big step forward, as AC II was for the original game. In sum: it's very good, but it could be better.

Gears 5 is simply a very good game, tailored for the fans of the series. The new installment works great regardless of whether you play alone, or in coop, as well as during multiplayer battles. Sure, maybe it's not very inventive and rather similar to previous GoWs, but in this case, it's a great recommendation.

I have encountered an opinion, that this is Pendulo's best game. I can agree with that, but remember that an emotional bond with characters in very important to me. If you're looking for sophisticated puzles or a realistic story, you may be less enthusiastic.

The Book of Unwritten Tales is one of the best AAA adventure games in years. It has everything a true classic in the genre should have, but is at the same time very contemporary. Excellent choice of actors, great dialogue, interesting puzzles are the biggest assets of this game. The locations leave a little to be desired in terms of "epicness", but if you consider yourself a fan of adventure games, you shouldn't wait any longer - buy it!

The trip to Badass Crater of Badassitude is an excellent endeavor for all fans of the original game, for the lovers of unique atmosphere, crazy characters, dark humor and carnage in the best possible way. The second Borderlands 2 DLC is a better one than Captain Scarlett. Both expansions are a good investment for fans of the series, but in a direct confrontation, the crazy and uncompromising Mr. Torgue wins. I want more! Let's hope the upcoming two add-ons are equally good.

Rage 2 is an excellent shooter, and not much else. Want a complex story? Wrong address. Looking for an original, authentic world to explore - nope, not here. But if you want to shoot, shoot, and then shoot some more, be invincible and also crazy, then hop in - you're in for a ride.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is a really atmospheric addition to the series. The story is original and very interesting, puzzles are top-notch and demand lots of thinking and the gameplay is satisfyingly long. What is more - there are some really pleasant surprises along the way. I think it's the best installment in the series and it will be hard to top this one, but I have hope. That's the way to go.

I would love it if Soulcalibur VI was prettier and offered more warriors. But what I got was great nonetheless - a superb beat'em up game with a well-designed fighting system, tons of single player content, a solid multiplayer and a unique atmosphere. The legend is back.

This War of Mine has some flaws, but all in all it's a great, strong game to remember. It pulls you in and generates lots of emotions just like the biggest and best games but it's not easy and pleasant: the gameplay immediately takes the player to the deep end without explaining the rules. The developers have managed to create a playable game without sacrificing a really difficult theme, and that's not an easy task.

Brotherhood is a must have for all Assassin's Creed fans. It doesn't blow your mind the way Assassin's Creed II did, but it certainly doesn't leave an impression of wasted money. If forthcoming sequels keep the same level of quality, they can be released every six months. I don't mind.

All new Tomb Raider games were good, but Shadow of the Tomb Raider - despite some flaws - is the best of them all. It's the most balanced game in the series, with all the things Croft's fans hanker for (with emphasis on fantastic exploration).

Well known and loved Worms had to wait a while for a game that is as good as old 2D installments of the series. Worms WMD proves that extreme modifications aren't necessary - the key is to give fans what they want: more worms, more destruction and classic physics. That plus some cool little new things turn this Worms game into a real gem.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a successful remake of the original title(s), which is similar to the case of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy. The developers have done a great job by refreshing the graphics and tweaking some gameplay mechanics. Also, modern controls have been implemented. All these aspects make this game pack a joyful experience.

Mortal Kombat for PlayStation Vita is a game worth your attention, especially if you haven't had the opportunity to check out last year's "big" MK and you miss the original installments. It's a great reboot - well made, reminiscent of the golden age, has lots of fantastic warriors and some unique bonuses.

Bulletstorm is a very creative, visionary, spectacular and uplifting game and its didactical values can't be overrated. Only a polish game will help you broaden your vocabulary with new idioms, will take you to one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in the history of gaming and will introduce you to new friends that you can discuss principal concepts of Nietzche's philosophy with.

With this expansion Arkane Studios matched the quality level of the regular installments of the Dishonored series (and that really is something!). All fans of Dishonored 1 & 2 simply have to experience Death of the Outsider. Everyone else should do the same but only after finishing the previous games. It's worth it.

The best part of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is its gameplay design. Exploring various worlds is pleasant and thanks to smart location of gold coins you can't get lost. The combat is simple but there are new mechanisms and character introduced every now and then so it doesn't become boring. My encounter with Mario and the Rabbids lasted for more than a dozen of hours and it was really fun.
