The new edition of PES does not offer a revolution. But you need to remember that Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 doesn't need one - it's a great sporting game that just got a little better. Ball control improvement and additions in Master League are welcome, but the small number of licenses is not (as usual). But all in all it's still a very good game.

Grim Dawn is a game that fulfills promises made by the developers and is one of the best entries in the hack'n'slash genre. The game is to be expanded and updated in the future: if dawn is so exciting, what will happen at dusk? And even if the multiplayer mode needs tweaking and beating the same storyline with different characters can become a bit boring, the game is simply very good and worth your money.

Black Ops 4 flashes all the things this series is best known for - the new Call of Duty is a festival of joyous, dynamic and bombastic online fragging. The Zombie mode is especially good, but the infamous Blackout mode doesn't quite deliver. All in all, CoD holds up pretty well, but it's easy to find numerous pitfalls.

A great shooter that combines TPP action with rail shooting. The developer has struck gold by filling the game with enormous amounts of content. The game provides lots of fun - dozens of hours even, if you sum up the single player campaign, playing with secrets, weapons and perks, and the time spent in multiplayer.

Black Ops 6 makes up for the disaster that was last year's Call of Duty. Almost everything works here - the game is pretty, the campaign has some surprises, and omnimovement makes multiplayer feel fresh. This installment joins the best CoDs on the new engine (Modern Warfare 2019 and Cold War). But please fix the launcher!

The developers have succeeded in creating a game faithful to the tradition and at the same time a game full of new elements and mechanics, that make it feel fresh. All that, plus a great campaign and a variety of multiplayer options make Anno 2070 an excellent game and even some technical issues can't change that.

Lara Croft GO is high quality product for fans of puzzle games. Eidos Montreal has created a pretty, atmospheric and a very well designed and engrossing (well, in the second half) game. Adventure and survival parts of The Alters were reduced to a minimum, so that the story, choices and interactions with alters could serve as the main course. Unfortunately this particular meal left me feeling hungry, but that is due to my personal preferences. If you want something new and fresh among games that make you manage a base with a little exploration, and a little survival, The Alters looks bold and original.

Darksiders II is a great follow-up aimed mainly at the fans of the first game. Fortunately it can easily appeal to players unfamiliar with War's adventures, players simply looking for a good slasher. The game offers lots of fun, making the player not only show off his/her skills in fighting and jumping, but in logical thinking as well. The game's quality suffers a tiny bit because of its graphics and lack of a really "big" ending. But remember - these small flaws are not enough to discourage anyone. Darksiders II is a great investment that will keep you glued to the screen for a long time.

Life is Strange is one of the episodic series in the short history of the genre. The game has a great story, skillfully takes on serious issues and has a really good soundtrack. What's more - there is at least as much gameplay as there is simple viewing, and the entire game can take more than a dozen hours to finish. There are some minor flaws here and there but they won't overshadow the fact that this is one of the best stories of the year.

Great expectations for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided made it look a bit worse than Human Revolution (even though the new DX is a really good game). It's hard to recommend Black Ops II to fans of story-based single player campaigns. Treyarch had problems connecting a story with strong characters, with a dynamic, linear shooter. The result is chaotic, but a mediocre single player mode cannot weigh heavily on a final opinion about this game. The most important thing in Black Ops II is an incredible multiplayer - a classic, fast-paced game with many innovations. The Pick 10 system opens up a metric ton of possibilities, and really good maps and play styles create a package never before seen in a Call of Duty game. If that's the thing you want in a modern shooter, you couldn't have picked better.

This War of Mine has some flaws, but all in all it's a great, strong game to remember. It pulls you in and generates lots of emotions just like the biggest and best games but it's not easy and pleasant: the gameplay immediately takes the player to the deep end without explaining the rules. The developers have managed to create a playable game without sacrificing a really difficult theme, and that's not an easy task.

Resistance 3 has its better and worse sides. Single player campaign can absorb but not thanks to the story - the plot is fairly standard and doesn't stand out. The ending is disappointing - don't count on a strong accent to finish the trilogy. The somewhat reduced scale and increased emphasis on infantry might seem controversial, but ultimately, it's still incredibly addictive. And who knows, maybe we'll get larger maps focused on tank battles in the future? However, such speculation aside, Battlefield 6 is already a game worth recommending upon release. Both expansions are a good investment for fans of the series, but in a direct confrontation, the crazy and uncompromising Mr. Torgue wins. I want more! Let's hope the upcoming two add-ons are equally good.

Thinking about DLC's would be less annoying if all add-ons had the quality of Old World Blues. It's a well-produced original story filled with humor and excellent dialogue. It's worth its price and your time. Fans of New Vegas won't be disappointed because this DLC keeps the best parts of the original game and serves them in a great way. If the developers have something like that in store for us, I'm in!

Highly anticipated The Last Guardian is finally here and its technical condition is so poor that I will not be surprised if someone decides to ask for a refund. Still, after a dozen hours I'm certain that my time spent with Trico was truly moving and really unique. There were moments of true agony (in terms of smoothness of gameplay and other technical aspects) but I'm willing to pay such a price for a beautiful story and an experience unlike any other.

Were it not for some technical issues and licensing problems, the new PES could be even better. PES 2013 is most certainly the best installment in the series in years. The developers are on the right path of changing things for the better, and right now constructing actions and scoring goals is very enjoyable. Everything has been rebuilt - from the defensive to the attack, and an improved AI allows to keep the team disciplined in terms of tactics. Having in mind next year's supposed revolutionary changes, we can assume, that PES is back in the game for real.

I'd like to say that it's been years since we got such a good World of Warcraft expansion, but that kind of declaration could backfire. Still, my first impressions after two weeks of playing are very positive. I'm surprised how much time I spend in Dragonflight.

Mists of Pandaria is a really good expansion for World of Warcraft that offers plenty to all players, regardless of the play style they prefer. Let's hope that the promise of frequent updates will be kept and no one will get bored with existing content. Everyone should be able to answer this question: What is Mists of Pandaria? For me it's a WoW adventure I have been waiting for since 2010. Remember though, that grading Mists of Pandaria right now is simply an attempt to foresee where Blizzard's game is headed.

FIFA 15 is pretty much one of the best football games out there. The Ignite engine works flawlessly and delivers a new quality, and playing with the football became more demanding, fluent and much less predictable. I have played an early version of the game a while ago, and it didn't seem like FIFA 15 was going to be good. But it is. Very much so. "Just one more game" syndrome is present and everyone should fall under its charm.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has a hauntingly beautiful, unnerving world, and when you leave it, it's like waking up from a very complex dream. The game is extremely pretty and demands some interpretation and asking of the right questions. The Astronauts' first game has many little details, and none of them are accidental. Everything is well thought out and the gameplay walks hand in hand with the story. There should be more games like this.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is good game - nothing more and nothing less. It provides tons of fun and enters the "co-op hall of fame" without looking back. Unfortunately I can't shake off the feeling that the release was a bit rushed; the game arguably feels more like an Early Access version.

EA Sports gives you a game that is an extremely playable snow monster. You swoop down the slopes like an avalanche and all these air tricks make you want to book a ticket to a ski resort. Plus all the special challenges that diversify the gameplay are spot on.

Veilguard is easily the best game BioWare has released since Mass Effect 3 – it has a better story and gameplay design than Inquisition (which I found mediocre at best) and is a better game than Andromeda in every way ( I won't even mention Anthem ). But what used to impress me now just seems good – maybe I've changed, maybe other developers set the bar too high. Maybe the students have surpassed the master; maybe that's just the way it has to be.

A strange game. On one hand we have mediocre graphics, choppy animations, a general lack of polish, and really bad first few missions. On the other hand, the campaign keeps getting better and in the end looks like a really good stealth game, there's lots of additional missions (in co-op as well) and a great multiplayer mode, that has the power to convince gamers usually avoiding online play. The new Splinter Cell, just like the new young Sam Fisher, doesn't look trustworthy, but it's worth giving a shot. The game isn't as good as Chaos Theory, but underneath all these minor issues hides a really good game.

I really wanted my favorite beat'em up series to reclaim the throne. Unfortunately, right now Tekken 7 hasn't got enough content and polish to do so (plus the competition - Injustice 2 - is fierce!). The fighting system is still superb but the entire game looks outdated. The story mode is poor, the online modes are now a a joke and there are some things missing as compared to the previous games.

Metro: Last Light isn't just another AAA shooter aimed at a typical gamer. The game's strength lies in its mature, brutal content - and I don't mean just the story (that will get its own book soon). Metro has a ton of amazing little details that make this virtual world seem very real. And what's more - the game is absolutely beautiful. Taking all this into consideration, there can be only one verdict: must buy.

The PC version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is a letdown. PCs are being treated unfairly this year and gets only some of the new stuff (and not everything works the way it should!). The game will run smoothly even on older laptops but I don't think this was the goal - besides the game itself is clearly worse than its competitors and the next-gen version. Of course, you can see the changes and have fun, but that's not enough.

WildStar was announced as a hardocore MMORPG that would offer a new quality to the fans of the genre. Most of these promises have been kept. Except for some technical errors, the game looks solid and offers a great, dynamic combat system which effectively doubles the fun. Given that this is only the beginning of the development of this new MMO, we are dealing with a highly promising production.

Brace for a brutally realistic graphical marvel with post-apocalyptic undertones and elements of ecopunk. Endling is a gripping, poignant adventure without much room for positive emotions. It sends a message that's supposed to hurt.

The developers of A Plague Tale managed to create an emotional story seasoned with stealth elements - not very demanding, as the game is really easy. Nevertheless, the title remains a very compelling experience that I finished overnight - which might be the best review I can give. Also - it's insanely pretty.

The way you look at Injustice: Gods Among Us depends on the way you felt about the last Mortal Kombat. If you had fun, you'll like the new game. If you wanted something more serious and demanding, you'll be disappointed. But all in all NetherRealm is in shape and still is a worthy competitor in the beat'em up genre. Injustice delivers spectacular moments that should attract a new audience, and this type of games will definitely benefit from that.

Battlefield 4 is a definitive champion of military shooters. The multiplayer mode is superb and shows its magic, when fighters and chopper fly over a big map, when boats jump on the waves and the infantry bravely battles armored enemy units. All of this is beautiful, but there's a lot of issues - from funny minor ones, to some really big and annoying ones. And remember: the single-player campaign is terrible.

Skyrim Special Edition isn't the prettiest remaster around and if you have a heavily modded PC version you won't find anything to take your breath away. This edition is aimed and console players - those who want to visit Skyrim for the first time, and those who want to forget the shoddy console version from the past. Besides - it's still a great game.
