Forza Horizon 2 is a much better game than its predecessor. It doesn't try to get additional money from the player, offers a completely open world and is more skillfully designed. Additionally the player receives beautiful, smooth graphics, tons of cars and a cool atmosphere. Right now Forza Horizon 2 has no real competitor in the arcade racer genre.

XCOM: Enemy Within is a really good expansion for an excellent game. After a few hours of gameplay it's impossible to think that we used do play without it. And even though there's no new campaign, there's so much new stuff, that you can happily rediscover Enemy Unknown. This expansion isn't cheap, but the money definitely won't go down the drain.

Wildermyth is my personal game of the year. Sure, the final grade may not suggest that, but I just know that I'll be returning to this world many times. It's not perfect, but its strength lies in a simple concept, tons of meaning hidden between the lines and a lot of charm that stole my heart. I want more surprises like this.

It's hard to say anything more about Luigi's Mansion 3, other than "it's cool." Not everything works perfectly, but it definitely is a very good game - weird, but good. It brings fun, but not emotions. It's memorable, but it doesn't make for a good game to talk about with friends. Still, if you own a Switch, you should be happy with the purchase.

Respawn Entertainment's new game is worthy of recommendation. The single-player campaign is a welcome and well made addition. On the other hand, multiplayer has been altered in a minimal way but that's ok - if it works well don't "fix" it. Simply put, Titanfall 2 is one of the best shooters around. Period.

Despite technical issues you simply have to notice the quality of Dragon's Dogma 2. The developers ignored the trends and created a game focused strongly on a great idea for exploration and combat. It's a truly unique action RPG.

I had a fantastic time with Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The gameplay is genuinely addictive, and the storyline is structured in such a way that after each mission I immediately wanted to launch the next one to see what interesting the next stage holds. The "one more mission" syndrome works so strongly that the game gets stronger with each hour spent with it, so I had a serious problem to put the pad down. The fun has been looped in a way that works perfectly, and if you like a non-stop flow of fast-paced action, you should be delighted with the new creation from FromSoftware. There is no shortage of moments from which adrenaline almost buzzes in the veins.

Back to Karkand is an enjoyable expansion, that increases the value of Battlefield 3 itself. You should look at it in a most positive way, but we still hope for more. DICE have hit the nail on the head and have given the fans a solid piece of great fun.

The Taken King is a must-buy for people wanting to start or continue their friendship with Destiny. Bungie has gone the Blizzard way - The Taken King is to Destiny what Reaper of Souls is to Diablo III. A great refreshment and a metric ton of fixes and upgrades. It's worth to give Destiny a second chance, you won't regret it.

Heroes of the Storm Has some small flaws (mainly associated with micro-transactions and the technical side) but all in all is a very good game. It doesn't copy things from other games and freshens up the MOBA genre in a really satisfying way. While playing HOTS I have never felt alienated, bored or unnecessary.

Path of Exile is a fascinating and a really big game and simply talking about it can take hours. The game is focused on online gameplay and even though you can play solo, the most fun comes from adventuring with some friends. Path of Exile is a must have for all Diablo fans. It offers dozens of hours of great fun and does that completely free of charge.

Returnal couldn't have wished for a better release date - there are no new AAA titles coming out right now, so Horsemarque's new game takes all the publicity. It's pretty, it's demanding and mysterious, and it makes for tons of fun. Hopefully gamers will appreciate it as much as journalists do. A game of the year candidate?

Many will think that Psychonauts was Tim Schafer's last good game and right now he's preoccupied only with remastering his former glory. But if all of the planned remakes will be as good as Day of the Tentacle I'm fine with that. This classic, eternally enjoyable point'n'click adventure game offers tons of satisfaction and even after more than 20 years is still a game to look up to.

Cyberpunk 2077 proves that the developers have improved their skills since the fantastic The Witcher 3. It is an excellent action RPG that would benefit from a longer delay to polish the various issues. However, no amount of bugs can diminish the immense pleasure of exploring this world.

DiRT Rally has made me forgive all the bigger and smaller missteps Codemasters may have committed. It's a great, very demanding game that could benefit from more maps and attention to detail, but even considering those minor flaws it's simply the best rally game out there. Richard Burns Rally finally has a worthy successor.

Rocket League is a well though-out and well designed game. All of its parts work flawlessly, the controls are clear and enjoyable, online code performs great and the audio-video portion is excellent (it really creates a unique atmosphere of a great sporting event). Good job, lightness, joy and simple but effective ideas.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope takes advantage of all the good stuff that always worked great, and expands it with a hefty amount of stuff new and improved. If you haven't played the first game, just start with the sequel. It's much better.

The Talos Principle offers a great story that demands a reaction from the player, but first and foremost it's a great puzzle game - based on simple rules and extremely satisfying. It's definitely one of the most interesting games of 2014. A big surprise and a FPS puzzle game that's really worth your attention (especially if you're looking for something more than just puzzles).

Journey of the Cursed King on Nintendo 3DS is the definitive version of Dragon Quest VIII. All the improvements and upgrades from the basic PS2 version work great and new content makes it appealing to old fans. I'm certain that every jRPG fan should own this particular game.

The War Within is not a revolution, but a carefully planned evolution leading the game in a new direction. It's impossible to predict wether World of Wacraft will reclaim its MMO throne. The game now is very good but only time will tell if Blizzard is capable of keeping it this way.

Ni No Kuni is a game that conjures mixed emotions. Sometimes I got bored of chasing monsters, got tired of the fighting system that is hard to control, got irritated by some characters that like to repeat their dialogue over and over again, and I got saddened by plot twists - they were too obvious and stripped of symbolism that is present in Ghibli's movies. Despite that I wanted to play more, because almost every time something good happened at the exactly right moment, something that restored my faith in this universe. Ni No Kuni can surprise you till the end, but all in all - I wish it was something more.

Legend of Grimrock II is a game that is better than its predecessor in almost every way. The gamers get more difficult puzzles, an interesting open world and new challenges every step of the way. But remember, that Grimrock II isn't for everyone. It's most suited for fans of older games and Witcher or Dragon Age enthusiasts will probably suffer a little while playing. But even they should give this game a chance - it's worth it.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is the best installment in the series and one of the best games in BioWare's history. There's a lot to praise: an interesting story, cool characters, big world, Skyhold. Sure, there are some minor issues and the combat system isn't perfect but the scale and attention to detail make all of that seem unimportant. An excellent game indeed.

Tales from the Borderlands marks the return to high form after a mediocre (in my opinion) second season of The Walking Dead. The new Telltale Games production has poor gameplay, isn't very pretty, and the decisions often signify nothing. And yet again a great story, excellent characters and superb humor make you believe it's a very good game.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is a collection of new features, both big and small, that make this brilliant game even more complete. Together, they form a comprehensive package that feels, in a way, like a director’s cut of the game, bringing to life additional ideas that the developers didn’t have the chance to include in the original release.

Echoes of Wisdom is a fantastic game that skillfully redefines the classic 2D Zelda formula, while taking inspiration from other games in the series. These changes will be noticed mostly by veterans, but even new players will find lots of fun here.

Collection 1 is an interesting initiative and a good purchase for all lovers of Infinity Ward's multiplayer. All new maps are quality products that reveal the flaws of original maps. Simply put: this add-on is worth recommending and two new ops are an additional asset to consider.

Bethesda delivered a surprisingly complete game that should appeal to many different people. All these well-known gameplay solutions done in the space made me want more, and I definitely will beat Starfield one more time. And then one more.

If you're of age, buy Hotline Miami. It's a great, emotionally heavy game with superb mechanics. It's a bit expensive and offers only a few hour of fun, but it's worth the price for the opportunity to ponder on man's nature. I wouldn't mind, if it was longer. You could appreciate simple, old school graphics, an excellent soundtrack and unique gameplay more. Still - the game's great!

The Dark Ages is the best post-reboot game in the series. It may not distance itself from the predecessors (both are great), but none of them pulled me in so hard and for so long. What’s more, I just sat through the end credits and I immediately want to begin the slaughter again.

MGS3: Snake Eater is one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. The remake, although it could have been done better, will also allow you to taste some of its genius. This release is beautiful in some parts, but it suffers most from the inconsistency resulting from the fact that, despite its beautiful presentation, it is inherently rooted in the PS2 era and runs poorly on UE5.

Frostpunk 2 is different from its predecessor. It too experiments with gameplay and tries to create a thrilling system of making difficult decisions, but the bigger scale of governing an entire region looks a bit unfinished. Great potential to create a giant world was squandered, and the thing that generates the most fun is the political system, not building your city.

I'm disappointed with the new Forza, but not because it's a poor game or one that doesn't meet my expectations. It's a really good game, but there's no big ambition. You play it and you put it away. The first admiration fades away quickly and later on it is evident, that the developers lacked ideas for filling an open world with content. It looks as if the new Forza is a framework that will be filled by the means of DLC. How else can you think about it, when all the game's secrets can be revealed by using real money? It can be done using the game's virtual currency as well, but it will take more time. Playground's new game is a technological gem and nothing more.

Despite some hard-to-miss flaws, Assassin's Creed: Origins makes one hell of an impression. The game is such a big leap from AC Syndicate, the same way ACII was an improvement when compared to the first game. Fans of the Assassin universe simply need to play this game. Ubisoft proves that they still have something interesting to say in their biggest franchise.

Obsidian's new game has some minor issues, but the grand picture is enchanting. The Stick of Truth is a stylish "the best of South park" packed into a well-made game that will definitely please all the fans. After more than a dozen hours spent with Cartman and his buddies I can confidently call South Park: The Stick of Truth the first big game of 2014 that doesn't disappoint.

It's tough to judge Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. I had to spent a lot of time setting up the game, so that playing on my PC would be comfortable, but when I finally got to play it, everything was over 3 days later. I had fun with all the novelties and admired the genius of the original Dark Souls with only a few minor flaws along the way. This game is enchanting on a new platform and I can simply recommend it to everyone, because this edition is a really great package (very good additions, a so-so conversion and an excellent original game).

I enjoyed Pragmata very much. Its unique and satisfying combat system, solid execution of the other gameplay elements, and likeable main characters all combine to make this another hit from Capcom. It’s just a shame that the boss battles are rather disappointing.

Some say that Pro Evolution Soccer shouldn't be forgiven the lack of basic licenses. But in case of PES 2017 you could be tempted to forget about it because the gameplay is superb. Many different plays, competent AI, realistic movement and tons of fun after every successful action create a sense of wonder. There are some issues but overall the new PES is definitely better than the previous one.

Nioh 2, despite being quite derivative, full of repetitive missions, and lacking true challenges later in the game, remains a riveting experience. This prequel looks like a mirrored image of the first game, but with some pretty ingenious level design, exciting enemies, and hugely satisfying combat and character creation systems, this game really hits home.

Aftermath is so much more than a mediocre new gameplay mode. Every one of the four new locations is of high quality - there's something for the lovers of infantry battles, as well a map that should please fans of Teheran Highway. All in all - Aftermath is a very good add-on, that expands on the ideas from the basic game and is worth recommending to supporters of middle-sized maps.

Yakuza 0 is not for everybody but it the perfect game to introduce you to this series. Over the years lots of unique elements became better and better and Y0 is a prequel - that means an easier transition. There are some technical issues, and some cut-scenes could be shorter but overall this crazy, colorful adventure is worth your time.

Destiny 2 is more of the same. A little prettier, a little more interesting, a little easier. After playing for dozens of hours I know I'll spend much more time with Destiny 2. There is no better game about shooting aliens that is so much fun. And looking at the first game and its evolution over the years it's hard not to wonder - what kind of game D2 will be in the future? A great one, I'm sure.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe is a perfect and fun strategy game without any generals, explosions, and militaristic tools of destruction. Instead, we have a pleasant and colorful title where you conquer enemies without spilling blood.

Football Manager 2014 - for fans of the series and lovers of a more strategic version of football - is a truly great and unparalleled game. Attention to detail, representation of various mechanics and a very high satisfaction rate deserve the highest praise. On the other hand, this year's edition brings surprisingly little novelties and innovations. Still - FM enthusiasts will definitely love this game.

New gameplay elements introduced in Brave New World are an example of a perfectly though-out innovation. This virtual machine works great and it's obvious, that the developers did their best. Even though there are more important rules than before, the gameplay is clear and enjoyable. This is a big achievement , considering the level of this game's complexity. Everything now works together like a big organism.

If you like 3D platformers from Nintendo, give Forgotten Land a chance. It will keep you entertained for a few nights, even if not everything works as it should. The basic concept and mechanics are there, but the sequel needs to expand and improve them.

Mortal Kombat for PlayStation Vita is a game worth your attention, especially if you haven't had the opportunity to check out last year's "big" MK and you miss the original installments. It's a great reboot - well made, reminiscent of the golden age, has lots of fantastic warriors and some unique bonuses.

Total War: Three Kingdoms is worth your time. To put things in a simple way - it's a superb strategy game that deals with a relatively unknown part of history. There are no flaws in terms of gameplay mechanics - it's a great Total War game that keeps to the series' high standards and quality.

Thronebreaker is a great solution for players that value amazing story and beautiful graphics over everything else. Despite some minor gameplay issues and unrealized potential of the game, players will have a lot of fun. If you miss the world and lore of The Witcher, it's definitely worth to check this title.

Far Cry 4 is an excellent game. Smaller or bigger changes since the previous game create an image of a more dynamic and more expertly crafted product. We get great shooting mechanic, tons of weapons, decent AI and a cool co-op mode in the campaign. I wish snowy peaks were more prominent in the game and the storyline was as good as everything else. But if you put that aside, you get an almost perfect open world game.

Shadow Gambit’s biggest pros are pirate atmosphere and excellent characters. The gameplay mechanics are typical for this genre, and some skills are from Desperados III or Shadow Tactics. It’s a really great game worth playing.

If you have experienced Lara Croft's recent adventure, Tomb Raider's Definitive Edition isn't for you. It has no new content that's worth your money. But in case you own an Xbox One or a PS4 and haven't had the opportunity to play the new Tomb Raider, run to the store right now. You simply need to play this game.

I had a blast playing Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown without feeling bored, frustrated or overwhelmed. And the game is far from a breeze. It's a great metroidvania with a smart decision to go back to the series' platforming roots.

Doom has a great solo campaign and a so-so multiplayer mode. Fortunately the single-player portion of the game is the most important and Doom shines spectacularly on this field. It's a pity that there are some technical issues that keep you from fully enjoying the game. One or two big patches will remedy the situation but right now Doom's evident greatness sometimes becomes a bit overshadowed by minor flaws.

In a perfect world the review of an MMO game should be written a year after its debut, but it is how it is - the gamers want to know what they are getting into as fast as possible. How do I grade this game then? Very highly, because BioWare has developed an excellent game. It has great attention to detail, it's carefully thought out with a great world, good mechanics and a lot of cool little things that change this MMO into something new and uncommon.

The best part of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is its gameplay design. Exploring various worlds is pleasant and thanks to smart location of gold coins you can't get lost. The combat is simple but there are new mechanisms and character introduced every now and then so it doesn't become boring. My encounter with Mario and the Rabbids lasted for more than a dozen of hours and it was really fun.

The new Crash Bandicoot did not take the easy route and even managed to push the boundaries in a few respects. It's living proof that some genres don't need a forced revolution. Why reinvent something when the old ways work perfectly? It's great there's a platformer out there such as It's About Time.

A big surprise. Very few would bet on Volition's new game and as it turns out Saints' adventures are an addictive sandbox game full of absurd sense of humor and break-neck action. The storyline pulls you in from the beginning, level variations exterminate boredom and the streets of Steelport are full of additional things to do that make the game last longer.

Anno 117 is, as a whole, a fine game that will allow fans of the series to enter a new era and enjoy mechanics that are more complex than those of its predecessor. The soundtrack is great, and the graphics are very pleasing to the eye. However, I feel that Ubisoft has played it a little too safe and lazy. Although I personally love Anno 1800, I didn't necessarily want the new instalment to be so similar to it.

Shadow of Mordor takes lots from other games but offers enough originality to make it worth your while. You should be even more interested if you're a fan of Jackson's movies - Monolith's game is based first and foremost on this particular license. The game mixes slasher and stealth elements very well, presents a juicy and brutal piece of Middle-earth's story and proves that neglecting this universe isn't a good thing.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will be a nostalgic trip to the past for some, and a visit to an interactive museum for others. Either way it’s worth to look past some archaic solutions, respect the developers’ approach and reach the ending of one best games ever.

Shin Megami Tensei V has given me so much fun during my almost 60-hours playthrough that I wasn't able to put the console down. The game has a good story and addictive gameplay - an almost perfect return of this famous series.

PlanetSide 2 allows you to take part in a fully fledged war and write the history of the planet yourself - it's no scripted spectacle. Who wouldn't want to be a part of a small unit that has to stop an assault of a much bigger army while waiting for reinforcements? Remember - all of that happens in confrontation with a live, intelligent player. PlanetSide 2 works great for hardcore FPS fans, and for those players who simply want to shoot from time to time. The most important thing: the game is free (micro transactions are far from being problematic) and everyone should try it.

Planet Coaster is a game that not only matches classic tycoon games in quality - it surpasses them in many ways. If you have a designer's soul or a crazy architect's touch and like to create beautiful, detailed amusement parks, you couldn't have found a better game. Planet Coaster really is one of the best. It would be perfect if only it had a better, more complicated economy mechanism.

Wasteland 3 is great. Brian Fargo delivers an excellent RPG as a farewell to the old generation of consoles. This game offers tons of options to shape the world, make decisions, and suffer the consequences. Despite some flaws, Wasteland 3 also offers a good combat system and keeps the player entertained.

You have to appreciate advancements in the visual department and lots of small but pleasant fixes in the career mode. But FIFA 17 doesn't deserve to be called "the best virtual football game". There are too many issues of different kind and this year PES is simply better. FIFA generates fun (as always) but I think the expectations were bigger.

Gears 5 is simply a very good game, tailored for the fans of the series. The new installment works great regardless of whether you play alone, or in coop, as well as during multiplayer battles. Sure, maybe it's not very inventive and rather similar to previous GoWs, but in this case, it's a great recommendation.

Goblins vs Gnomes is a perfect add-on to Blizzard's card game. The players get 120 new cards that create tons of new possibilities when modifying or creating a new deck (and that affects the gameplay greatly). What's very important - GvG is free and right now Hearthstone could easily match World of Warcraft in terms of longevity, provided that Blizzard keeps releasing such great expansions.

Those two God of War games are the best thing that happened to PlayStation Portable during its lifespan. At least that is the case when talking about western games - I presume that many lovers of japanese style won't feel the same way. But being a fan of good games and good slashers I wouldn't hesitate when thinking about buying this colelction. Well - maybe if you already have finished both games then I would wait for a lower price, but I wouldn't stay indifferent. God of War - Origins Collection is a great product.

Assassin's Creed III is a really good AAA game that sucks you in after a brief contact. Unfortunately there are some things missing, and minor flaws can be observed, and those things prevent me from considering Ubisoft's new game as something truly extraordinary. It has everything a game from this series should have, but after watching the end credits there's a feeling that something is lacking. Assassin's Creed III isn't such a big step forward, as AC II was for the original game. In sum: it's very good, but it could be better.

Gears of War 4 is simply more of the things that players know and love. The developers may have failed during the creation of a cool single-player campaign and the new heroes are pale shadows of previously used veterans but the multiplayer portion of the game shines. This is its strongest part that deserves every praise.

Halo 5 has a run-of-the-mill campaign that isn't as interesting or exciting as the one from Halo 4. Of course, that doesn't make the game weak - you can play with pleasure and impatiently wait for the final chapter of the new trilogy. But Guardians shines in a different aspect: the multiplayer portion of the game is phenomenal and will keep you glued to the screen for hundreds of hours.

The new Football Manager is a great game. It's still an extremely engrossing product that has been appealing to football fans for years. SI Games listens to their fans, improves the details and delivers a better game every year. That's the way to go.

Darkest Dungeon is a very difficult, very interesting and very original game - a sturdy RPG mixed with a dungeon crawl and some aspects of roguelike games. As such it's not a game for everyone. Fans of these genres should have lots of fun - moments of irritation fade away and you simply need to visit this grim world once more. Darkest Dungeon is a very big and demanding product - I envy those players who will be able to max it out.

I'm not a fan of a current trend to remake and remaster last generation games, but the things that have been done to (especially) Metro 2033 are really impressive. If you had fun playing original Metro games, Redux will deliver at least the same amount of satisfaction. If you're new to the Metro universe, now is the best time to check it out.

Thanks to differentiated difficulty modes and a wide variety of assists, the developers have created a game suitable for both casual and more advanced gamers with some beautiful graphics to serve as an ornament for exciting races. It's a pity there are some minor flaws - especially those ridiculously long loading times can destroy the minds of less patient players. Codemasters' game is a step forward from last year's F1 - hardcore gamers won't find anything here but others surely will be satisfied and should enjoy sitting in a safe and well paid Formula 1 driver's seat.

Citadel delivers. The last story-driven DLC for Mass Effect 3 allows the players to say goodbye to Shepard and his friends in a grand style. The content is light, fun and humorous, and the new main mission is great. What is more, the quests are more diverse than the ones in Omega or Leviathan. I'm a fan and I see Citadel in a very good way, but you have to remember, that it's aimed at a specific audience. People that didn't like Shepard's previous adventures have nothing to see here.

Give Frostpunk a chance - you'll soon find out that this is yet another ambitious project from 11 bit studios that is greater than the sum of its parts. This very atmospheric "survival strategy" deserves a success and the developers should know that they are on the right path of achieving it.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is breathtaking. It's the real thing - a big old-school expansion that sometimes is even slightly better than Uncharted 4. The visuals are perfect, the shooting and stealth mechanics are almost as good, and there are many more puzzles than there is fighting. All of this is worthy of a blockbuster movie. Awesome!

I would love it if Soulcalibur VI was prettier and offered more warriors. But what I got was great nonetheless - a superb beat'em up game with a well-designed fighting system, tons of single player content, a solid multiplayer and a unique atmosphere. The legend is back.

Hogwarts Legacy's wonderful world makes it one of those games that you'd just love to keep experiencing for the first time - forever - and we envy anyone who's yet to step into it. Even if it's just a regular, open-world game underneath all the magic, it truly is an excellent one.

Resident Evil Village is a crown jewel in this ever-evolving series. The developers have combined elements from the two most prominent installments - 4 and 7 and added lots of new, interesting ideas. Then, they topped all this with a thick sauce of fantastic art direction and, behold! We got one of the best Resident Evil games and survival horrors in general.

FTL: Faster Than Light proves, that indie games funded through Kickstarter can gather gamers and do it with style. Many different playthroughs, no save option and perma-death are the game's strongest points, but you need to remember, that FTL couldn't exist without them - the campaign can be beaten in 2-3 hours. This game bases its gameplay on successes and failures alike and does so well, that I will be glad to play FTL for dozens of hours more.

Despite some issues (jamming MMO into the gameplay, uneven campaign, some technical issues) I had fun for most of the time. It's mostly due to evolution and upgrades from all the seasons, but Vessel of Hatred introduces a solid amount of good stuff. Still, it will not cure all Diablo 4's ailments - you have to wait for updates and fixes.

SOMA is one of the most complex, balanced and well-designed independent horror games out there. The creators of Amnesia have crafted a game that will satisfy fans of the genre and should bring in some new players. 12 hours spent in the underwater facility PATHOS-II were great and I wish I could relive it in someone else's skin.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is a well-done remake of the classic JRPG. The fantastical journey through time to save magical islands may seem a bit naive, but that's not a bad thing if you ask me. The new version boasts stunning graphics, full voice acting, and numerous improvements – although players who hate grind will find plenty of it here.

Despite a few setbacks, The Division 2 is a good sequel from day one and should become even better in time. It seems that there wasn't any content cut from the final version, which is by no means self-evident these days. If you didn't like the first game, you probably won't find anything of interest here. But we recommend you gave it a try anyway. The design of the city is superb and combat is genuine fun.

Age of Empires II Definitive Edition is a truly meticulous remaster, one of the best of its kind. Fans of classic RTS that are not afraid of the archaic, core gameplay solutions should be thrilled to try out this gem.

Fallout 4 is a really decent game that (unfortunately) dismisses all the good and important things set up by its great predecessors. The world is big, the exploration is excellent and the post-apocalyptic atmosphere is present. But all the good things about F4 come from its world - it's a great sandbox game and at the same time a very poor RPG with a thin storyline and few connections to the brand's heritage.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New N' Tasty is a great example on how to resurrect old games. All the great things from the original coexist with tweaks and improvements, that make the game look and feel modern. You can be a little upset by a high difficulty level and a very weak co-op mode (but that could improve in the next installment, right?), but all in all it's a really good game.

You don't need to fear for the quality of FIFA 17 on PC - everything looks great. The PC port of the newest game from EA Sports not only isn't inferior to the console versions but some things look and feel even better. That's what I call fair play.

RIFT is an interesting proposition, and its existence has to be acknowledged on a MMO map. But you need to remember that despite some novelties, this game offers a very classic approach to gameplay, so don't expect anything revolutionary.

Project CARS 2 is like a trip to the most beautiful place that becomes more and more tiring. There is no prettier game, and driving along well known circuits with engine noise as background music is great. But all the essence - driving physics, overtaking, dealing with car trouble - is much better in F1 2017. I'm waiting for fixes.

BioShock is an outstanding franchise that hasn't aged despite a change in hardware generations. This collection is a great excuse to revisit Rapture and Columbia (for some players) and an excellent starting point to discover this world for the very first time (for others). Console owners should feel appreciated, PC owners not so much (another case of a port being done poorly).

The experiment that is episode based first season of Hitman is both a success and a failure. 6 new maps and 6 new missions are mostly great - that's the most important core of the game that works well. What doesn't work is the story. It's not that interesting and there's too little of it. The question is - what is the most important thing to you?

Ubisoft's card game demands lots of thinking, detailed planning and constant changes in tactics. The developer is strongly supporting the game (new decks, add-ons and balance fixes), what makes it a great tournament game. Perhaps it's not the best product for gamers avoiding long time engagement, but even they should consider it. Duel of Champions is a great game for a thinking player.

There is no revolution in the gameplay but modern FIFA never needed one. This year's edition has a slower game pace, improved player positioning and more focus on individual player stats. Thanks to all that FIFA 18 is more tactical but as entertaining as ever.
