In the end, the major problem with Shadowrun is expectation. What Shadowrun turns in is a budget priced effort with some truly cool ability concepts, but not enough to warrant its premium title price tag.

In the end, CrimeCraft is kind of a mixed bag. It's not very creative: the gameplay is fun, but incredibly standard. And Vogster's attempts at including PvE in a "PWNS" can be seen as ambitious, but also as a colossal failure. Nonetheless, there is some fun to be had in CrimeCraft, especially if you don't have hundreds of hours of spare time.

Sure there are better pool games out there and sure this won't beat a free subscription to the Victoria Secret's catalog (it's amazing what the those bras can do isn't it?) but as a budget title you can do a lot worse if you enjoy moving a load of balls around or peeping the ladies.

Despite the heavy time investment the storyline requires during gameplay and the very structured linear gaming experience, I still enjoyed this game.

Though it stumbles along the way, it's a unique experience to play through, fighting off the undead and sprinting from abominations without a controller in sight. It really comes down to the style of gameplay that one enjoys. Loki: Heroes of Mythology echoes the experience of Diablo-esque games, that much can not be denied. The pace feels a little slower, however, and because of that, the multitude of battles fought with dozens of foes seems to take just a little too long.

If Darkest of Days were a film it would make the rounds at festivals, where “flawed but interesting” has its place. But there are no festivals in gaming, outside of the ten games that get selected for spotlight every year at PAX.

If I were forced to summarize Hexyz Force in a sentence, I think I'd go with: "Standard fare, don't expect much." It's not terrible, but it's not going to shatter any expectations.

Whether your personal style is creating maps that will eventually lead to catastrophic locomotive destruction, or cruising around as a legitimate conductor to complete Waybills, TR will lure you into its reaches even if it is only for a while.
