Ultimately Halo 3: ODST’s campaign is a big disappointment while it introduces some great multiplayer features.

Dustforce is a challenging and sometimes frustrating platforming experience that constantly expects perfection.

Quarrel is a bright idea hamstrung by a series of unfortunate design flaws, lack of offline multiplayer, balancing issues, and a desperate need to remain inoffensive.

Siren: Blood Curse remains largely unchanged after four years time. If you avoided it then, avoid it now as well. This title is really only for the horror hardcore.

Q.U.B.E. 2 is a puzzle solver's dream in a gamer's nightmare. There are dozens upon dozens of simplistic button and jump puzzles to complete over a five-hour time span.

I did not enjoy my time with The Adventures of Shuggy. The platforming kept me from properly enjoying the puzzles, while the game tried to keep me from even seeing all the puzzles the game had to offer. It was more like work than any videogame should be, and egregiously overpriced work at that.

FIFA Street is the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of gaming. Equal parts glorious and monstrous, it will leave you ultimately disappointed, if not completely filled with rage. Maybe Icarus is a better metaphor. It flies so close to greatness but invariably crashes and burns. Either way, play FIFA Street at your own risk.

Long time fans of the genre looking to get their fix on the console(s) will find what they need here. Unfortunately, they are also going to find the things that hinder the genre on anything other than a PC.

The only experience worth calling fruitful from this RTS is it’s online gameplay modes. You can otherwise expect repetitive and dull campaigns tacked on with unresponsive and, quite frankly, idiotic AI units.

What has four wheels, bad music, and lackluster graphics? Flatout: Head On! Save your money for one of the console version where this game can be better appreciated.

Escape Plan has come to the PlayStation 4, but it fails to make the transition cleanly. The puzzles are dull and the controls are ill fitted to the new system. I wouldn't recommend playing Escape Plan, but if you absolutely must make sure it's the Vita version.

Temtem is as good as it gets when it comes to competition versus Pokémon. Even in Early Access, it surpasses the most recent Pokémon games and it’s exciting to think about how the best is yet to come with Temtem. [Early Access Provisional Score = 80]

While there's nothing wrong with Crimson Alliance form a technical standpoint, it's a shame that a game with this much hack and slash action is so boring. The lackluster presentations, repetitive gameplay and generic story don't help anything. You're better off buying one of the better Diablo-clones currently available on the Xbox 360!

While the original is a cult classic, this version won't carry on that legacy. EDF 2 has a patented premise behind it, but all of the pieces of this puzzle are inhibited by technical issues. It's hard to find the fun.

For those not keeping track, this is the third version of Warlords on Xbox Live Arcade. This updated version fixes all of the bugs found in the 2012 remake, and also adds online play, more real-time strategy elements and faster gameplay. Sadly, that isn't enough of a reason to warrant a third version of Warlords.

This is definitely not the Mercenaries 2 you were asking for!

An obvious console port, this watered-down action RPG just doesn't feel at home on the PC.

Shady A.I., gameplay that gets stale fast, and a story that is impossible to decipher when you're losing to the enemy forces in the first turn means you should avoid Puzzle Quest Galactrix.

Majin and the Forsaken is the definition of a mediocre title. Nearly every aspect of the game is bland and unoriginal, with the exception of a great control scheme when it comes to controlling the non-playable Majin. Some players may find a tolerable adventure in the game, but don't expect much else.

Put simply, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier for the PC is an unstable product with numerous gameplay, online connection, and performance issues. Even with the release of multiple patches, there are an array of issues still present within the game. An entertaining single-player campaign and engaging multiplayer are enjoyable if players are able to overcome the blatant porting issues from consoles to the PC.

Grand Slam Tennis 2 has a good visual product with quality stadiums and good gameplay. However, there is a lot of work that needs to be done with the career mode to make this game have a much higher replay value than what it has currently. After three years of releasing the first title, it is concerning that this was the final product.

Kung Fu Panda is a surprisingly good movie game that is marred by awkward PC controls.

The great presentation is undone by a number of questionable gameplay decisions.

Despite having some control issues, Rainbow Moon gets most of the core gameplay right. Unfortunately, the game's horrible pacing and insane difficulty makes this impossible to recommend. This would have been a better product if the developers weren't so preoccupied with microtransactions!

The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales simply fails to deliver. It's probably a better experience on PC, but should be generally avoided on console without some updates to the controls and stability of the game. It doesn't take long to finish, at least I don't think so - a handful of hours to the final level. So at least it has that going for it.

Modern Hits is more of the same uninspired and painful gameplay you've already experienced!

There are a few memorable moments sprinkled throughout this adventure, but this newest LEGO game covers too much familiar ground.

The Golf Club 2 could have been a non-sponsored, better priced game as an alternative to the full-pro games out there, but it really needs a good shakedown to be a valid option. A better swing system, a better putting system, and an overall touch-up to the aesthetics (crowd, graphics issues, player) would make this a viable alternative to sponsored games costing 20-30 dollars more but have a fancy name on the cover.

I didn’t think it was possible but the Resident Evil games have gotten as loud, dumb and tiresome as the Resident Evil movies. Overcomplicated mechanics, a confusing, schizophrenic campaign split four ways and a ridiculous plot that doesn’t just break suspension of disbelief but blends it into a smoothie make Resident Evil 6 a real chore to get through.

Telltale Games is fresh off the success of The Walking Dead, an episodic game fueled by dynamic character arcs and the sensation of meaningful choices. Poker Night 2 has neither of these, as its repetitive character dialogue and technical miscalculations prevent either from stealing the pot. When the chips are thrown and the hands are dealt, it's best to sit this one out.

Vergil’s downfall isn’t patently terrible, but just barely. It is, however, a pale shadow compared to Dante’s adventure in DmC. It’s three to four hours of gameplay that everyone who is not a Vergil fetishist can ignore and not feel like they missed anything.

In Between is full of poetic metaphors and beautiful visual storytelling, but is so bogged down by the awkward and imprecise gameplay that it's hard to enjoy playing it, even if you appreciate its artistic value.

I definitely enjoyed answering questions on the go, but clearly this isn't the way it to put it all together. That's not to say that Buzz can't eventually be a great portable game, but it needs a lot of work to get to that point!

Conan Exiles is one of the most disappointing games I have played this generation. I have not experienced another game on PlayStation 4 as broken as Exiles. It is hard to believe that a game could be released for purchase in such bad condition. In another genre, the bugs in Exiles might be fun or amusing. In a survival game, they are crippling. Gamers deserve, and should demand, better.

The Simpsons Arcade Game has a story that makes no sense, shallow gameplay, very little comedy and nonsensical boss battles. For ten dollars you're getting a brief experience that you'll likely never want to revisit. On the other hand, it's nice to see this game get a proper home console release after more than two decades!

Razor's Edge attempts to fix Ninja Gaiden 3. In some ways it succeeds, offering an experience with more modes and levels. But even with all of these changes, Ryu Hayabusa's newest adventure is hard to recommend. Ninja Gaiden 3 looks good, but is derailed with uneven difficulty and gameplay that is too fast for its own good!

A retro VR tank game, Tank Universal is a bit too “old school” for my tastes. Others’ mileage may vary.

What were they thinking? The lameness of this game is a slap in the face to every NERF aficionado ever born and, quite frankly, those still in the womb.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will go down as one of the biggest screw ups in video game history. EA and DICE had the easiest job in the world and completely ruined it with the absolutely ridiculous and downright unacceptable progression system for multiplayer. Combine that with the incredibly boring, lazy, and cliche story campaign and you easily have the biggest disappointment of 2017.

Beyond incomprehensible, Mia and the Dragon Princess is the type of low-budget FMV schlock that gives schlock a bad name. Regardless of what choices the player makes, the story does not hold together, the action doesn't hit, and the interface is boring. This is the first Wales Interactive title I've played that is absolutely not worth your time.

Star Trek Online is far from perfect, but based on it’s placement fills a niche for sci-fi gamers between EVE Online and Star Wars Galaxies.

The classic casual title comes to the PS3, but seems out of its element in the console world.

This action-RPG/dungeon builder hybrid fails to live up to the predecessors it so carefully tries to emulate.

Don't bother unless you're either a Gundam or Dynasty Wars completionist.

More work than fun, this dual-stick shooter soon becomes a repetitive and tedious chore. Only for die-hard completist 40K fanatics.

Based on the 2003 game of the same name, Crimsonland is a fun four-player dual-stick shooter with 60 levels and a nice variety of baddies. Unfortunately, it's also insanely dull.

This standalone expansion doesn’t have the wherewithal to pull itself up by its own bootstraps, let alone incite an uprising.

I wanted to like Jet Car Stunts, I really did but I just couldn't. I just got incredibly bored with this.

The re-imagined and return of SimCity is a disappointment that's a direct result of the included always-online system. Even worse, the gameplay suffers from multiple issues including reduced map sizes to seemingly-unintelligent Sims. Individuals looking to purchase SimCity should wait until the online restrictions have been lessened and gameplay issues fixed.

2k Sports swings for the fences, but ultimately drops the ball.

Undercover doesn’t cover any new ground, and the campy cutscenes – which are a better motivator than earning higher-tier vehicles – lose sight of the game’s pace car. The police chases are knowingly the high point, but even those grow subdued through saturated exposure.

There's nothing broken about Naruto Shippuden: Naruto vs Sasuke, but there isn't anything to make it stand out in a crowd either. You're better off getting your ninja fix elsewhere.

There are just too many problems with the basic game of basketball in NBA 09 to really recommend this above the other games out there.

Revenge of the Fallen has some serious flaws, but so did the film. It's hard to blame a licensed game for failing so badly when its creative source was so dreadful.

Comprised of several well loved classic games, including the historic Operation, Hasbro Family Game Night 2 should be a lot better than it is. Other than Connect 4x4, which holds up relatively well, the board games just don’t convert well to the Wii.

F1 2014 is everything people hate about annualized sports games. Not just a carbon copy of the 2013 model, but also a game that fails to capitalize on some of the biggest changes the sport has ever seen. Worst of all, many of the franchise's best features have been removed. It's clear this was an afterthought as the developers worked on the truth next-generation sequel.

Wanted’s repetitive gameplay, awful dialogue, and plain-jane graphics provide an underwhelming experience that doesn’t make a case for being wanted by anyone.

A lumpy ending to an uneven series, it’s unclear what conclusion Dawn of the Dragon is attempting to draw. If it’s overused set pieces, repeating gameplay, and obfuscated puzzle solving -- then Spyro succeeds.

The gameplay is fine, ill give it that, but it just doesn't provide anything fun after you made your first few jumps. It's extremely hard to recommend this game at $20 when you can see all that the game has to offer in about 10 minutes.

By constantly running at breakneck speed, Velocibox takes a solid idea and turns it into one of the most aggravating games ever made.

A lifeless vehicle combat/racer with a gaping hole where the multiplayer should be, Gas Guzzlers Extreme is not worth your time. If you must, play the PC version for the multiplayer.

I really wanted to like NASCAR 2011: The Game; but while the core racing can be pretty interesting (especially on the short tracks), the overall game is held back by paper-thin career mode, unformed gameplay features, and unfriendly difficulty. I'm not a follower of NASCAR, but I hoped NASCAR 2011: The game would make want to. I didn't.

I can only recommend this title to the most patience of the hardcore and even then only after there has been a patch to fix lingering technical issues.

Tiny Troopers takes a simple concept of twin stick shooting and does absolutely nothing new with it at all. If you're looking for a game with something worthwhile to offer, you've come to the wrong place.

A mixture of fun ideas and careful gameplay with excessive micromanagement and poor AI make for a game that has its moments, but falls apart under fire.

With its horrendously boring gameplay and overall buggy presentation, I claim Fantastic Four to be fantastic for no one.

While there are aspects in the game that mimic some of the more expensive shooters out there, Blacklight: Tango Down just doesn't play well in a lot of areas.

War in the North never quite manages to exceed in neither gameplay or presentation. Ultimately, lackluster environments and repetitive combat make for an experience that seems out of place in the world crafted by Tolkien. Even if Lord of the Rings precedes the title, War in the North does not live up to the level of quality set by previous franchise media.

Return to Mafia II in yet another unspectacular expansion pack. Joe's Adventure has the potential to be great, but it falls short thanks to boring filler missions, a lack of a checkpoint system and a frustrating timer. And worst of all, it turns out that Joe's adventure is barely worth telling. This is only for the most hardcore Mafia II fans!

There isn't a single redeeming quality to Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes that will justify playing the game to its full extent.

I'm really disappointed in Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, and also confused. How could such a good idea be this flawed in execution? There's nothing redeeming this game from all its faults, which is truly a shame.

It’s easy to compare Zombie Apocalypse to Burn Zombie Burn, but unfortunately the game doesn’t share its witty charm or long-term appeal.

It's unfortunate the Senran Kagura: Bon Appetit! is a game with decent mechanics and visuals, but it's terribly short on content and within a few hours you'll have seen everything this game has to offer.

Pac-Man is out of his depth in this brand new Xbox 360 action game. Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 is a mediocre platformer that recycles elements from much better games. It's also plagued with technical hiccups that make certain levels nearly unplayable. It may be aimed at young children, but even they deserve a better action game.

I had a lot of high expectations for Dolmen, considering the premise and gameplay genre. Unfortunately, it botches just about every aspect of being a Souls-like game. There were many concerns that I could look past in the demo, but are inexcusable in a full release. Not only are the technical mechanics poorly implemented with inaccurate hitbox detection and animations, the artificial difficulty and long spans of nothingness make the game frustrating for all the wrong reasons.

Captain America is a good game that is held back by questionable design decisions. The solid combat system provides a superb foundation upon which shaky gameplay decisions were built, resulting in a forgettable experience featuring flashes of brilliance. Give it a try though, it's a fun trip while it lasts, but unfortunately doesn't leave a lasting impression on you, either good or bad.

Firefall showed some real promise as I started on my epic journey. The shooting was fine, and the missions were fun at first, but then after doing almost the same thing over and over again, I just couldn't find any reason to continue. Like I said, I am willing to go back and see if the game improves in the future but I wont be returning to Firefall anytime soon.

Slender: The Arrival is more frustrating than scary. The atmospheric locations are wasted in this boring survival-horror game where players do little more than search around for numbered items. The game goes a long way to flesh out the story and mythology, but it never makes a convincing argument for why Slender deserves to be a franchise.

Rio is a perfectly competent yet completely unoriginal game undone by an over-abundance of rehashed ideas.

Stick to your old copies of Rock Band and Guitar Hero and get your fighting game needs met with an actual fighting game.

While the core gameplay remains from the PC version, this sloppy port kills a lot of the fun with poor graphics and sloppy network code.

Currently, Warface has a functional (but bland) versus mode, and a fun (but dysfunctional) co-op mode.

MicroBot is a frustrating experience of unrelenting enemies that function more as a burden than a challenging gameplay element.

It seems odd that Electronic Arts decided to take out most of the fun elements of the game and replace them with additions that are barely worth talking about.

Namco Bandai and Cyber Connect 2 are usually a winning combination with Naruto games. But with Ultimate Ninja Impact, it really feels like they phoned it in.

Squeeballs may look like fun but it tell the same jokes and brings the same snacks to the Wii minigame party that everyone else already showed up with.

Too simplified for its own good, Farming Simulator for the Vita is really a missed opportunity. This series has a ton of potential, as proven by its far superior PC releases, but nearly all of that is thrown away in the name of simplifying the experience for the portable market.

Pixel Night makes a brave foray into the exploration genre that doesn’t quite pan out in the end due to detached storytelling and repetitive mechanics. If you’re a dedicated adventure game player, Empathy: Path of Whispers will offer little challenge, except maybe in the way of overcoming boredom. It is, at the end of the day, a walking simulator that knows exactly what it wants to be, but falls a few steps short of actually being it.

At only two hours in length, Entwined could have been a short but sweet action rhythm game, but a number of small issues add up to big problems.

Battle of the Bands takes the best elements of some recent hits and tries to combine them into something new and fun. Unfortunately, it misses the mark.

If you're looking for two super short light gun games that require no skill, then boy do I have the Wii compilation for you. Gunblade NY & L.A. Machineguns Arcade Hits Pack manages to package these two games together, but it doesn't do much more than that. Even at $30, that's still too much to pay for two forgettable arcade shooters!

Forgettable characters with a lackluster storyline do not help a puzzle game that can be, at times, enjoyable and, at worst, downright infuriating.

The only fun you will find in Front Mission Evolved is using your fully equipped Wanzer to control a ridiculous spread of weaponry.

Atomic Ninjas had the potential to be a fun brawler for four friends, but falls flat due to problematic controls and wonky physics.

While the first fleeting hours of Deathwing was enjoyable, the proceeding remainder of the game is dull, anti-climatic and uninspiring.

You'll be hard pressed to stretch your total playtime past half an hour. The worst part of it is that it's actually pretty good, but as soon as the story feels like the prologue is over and it's time to take off, you get kicked right to the title screen and it's all over. I have no idea what the plan was here, there is so much potential between the source material and implementation but at the end of the day well not even that really, at the end of 15 minutes of gameplay, it just, well, ends.
