Now Crytek has jumped onto the remaster train and is stepping into the trap it has built for itself: To release a new edition of a 13-year-old game in 2020, which again needs a really expensive PC for full graphics power, is a crazy idea.

Improved textures and revised balancing complement this terrific action-RPG classic, which, however, features too many generic side quests.

Nostalgia can be deceiving, especially when it comes to a 20 year old game. It is all the more astonishing how precisely Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 revives the feeling of yesteryear.

Marvel's Avengers could have been a much better game if Crystal Dynamics had relied more on its own strengths instead of emulating mainstream trends.

At its core, it's still the same game as Crusader Kings 2, for better and for worse. It's still highly complex and tells great stories. And despite the context system, it can still be incomprehensible and frustrating. It's a bit like the Holy Grail. It gives you eternal youth, but it does not make you another person.

A clever mix between management, strategy, action and exploration. It’s not only very relaxing, but also has some heartwarming moments.

A successful heir to Dark Souls who improves the original concept, but knows its own limitations.

Shallow management game with cuddly graphics and plenty of variety, but lacks challenging tasks.

The loading times and the occasional stuttering took off visibly on my nerves after 40 to 50 hours. That, together with the still not perfect enemy AI, may be criticism at a high level, but ultimately prevents Wasteland 3 from becoming a great role-playing game - you have to be satisfied with a very good one.

Graphically impressive flight sim, based on global map data. Great for hobby pilots who fly on sight, but with problems when it comes to big airliners and autopilot.

Colorful and chaotic Battle Royale fun, though currently lacking variety, content and long term motivation.

At first, this looks like just another Counterstrike clone. But there’s more depth and variety, despite the lack of content.

Horizon still has its weaknesses and sometimes feels overloaded with all of the open-world activities, crafting systems or an annoying fast travel system. If I ignore all of this, I have a world open to me that shines above all because it really has something to say - be it within its history or even how we deal with each other and our planet in reality. That is exactly what I miss in many open world games, in which the story likes to degenerate into a breadcrumb trail for all kinds of filling tasks.

esperados 3 is simply staged staggeringly: The Western atmosphere is tight for editing, I can experiment tactically with the five characters, sneak through almost completely or occasionally incite shootings. My heroes comment on the action, and with a few exceptions, the behavior of the opponents is logical and understandable. I even fail because I always know what was wrong and can optimize accordingly. This is what modern real-time tactics must look like. Be sure to play it.

Whether you enjoy it depends on your expectations. Maneater is trash. It makes no secret of it. The game is not pretty, it is not very varied or complex. But at least you're a shark. And eats people. And alligators. And other sharks. And everything at all. So the game does exactly what it says in the description. If that appeals to you, go ahead! Otherwise you can safely ignore the part.

By today's standards the shootings are too static for my taste. In combination with the annoying graphics bugs, it is difficult for me to make an unreserved recommendation. If you just want to experience an adult story again that takes itself and its character seriously, then don't hesitate. But if you also hope for a dynamic gaming experience, there are certainly better alternatives by now.
