For me, the bill (with the exception of the story) works out perfectly. In Hitman 3, I have so much to puzzle, lure, assassinate, and giggle while setting up the perfect bitter traps that I will likely spend many weeks with the game.

Slashers's Keep is half dungeon-crawler and half Rogue-like, it can, nonetheless, be considered to be slightly more than just the sum of its parts.

The essentially well-made VR shooter borrows from the Medal of Honor classics, yet shows flaws in its execution.

Shadowlands is the revitalizing adrenalin injection the game desperately needed.

In the last generation of consoles, I only had tears in my eyes twice. During the Yuriko quest from Ghost of Tsushima. And the credits of Cyberpunk. Think of that wistful stomach ache when you finish your favorite book for the first time. All the great characters, the heartwarming experiences, the strokes of fate, the funny coincidences rattle past your inner eye once again. It will never be the same as the first time. You would love to have your memory erased by a Ripperdoc so that you can relive it all. That's what Cyberpunk 2077 does to me. And probably with you too.

The varied, but technically tame action-adventure appeals to Souls-like beginners. It also offers a refreshing ageing system and puzzles.

Empire of Sin offers solid turn-based tactics, a swag 20s gangster setting and an economic layer; however, it lacks depth and polishing.

Atmospheric gangster epic with many memorable moments and a wide array of mini-games. It does recycle some ideas from its predecessors.

While the new location, the plot and Stasis as a new subclass type do enhance Destiny 2, Beyond Light adds too little overall.

Where Origins and especially Odyssey still had a clear mission towards roleplaying, Valhalla seems like a half-hearted step backwards. Yes, there is now real action again, and deadly sneaking. Yes, in its best moments Valhalla has exactly what I want from an Assassin's Creed. But instead of focusing on the highlights, Ubisoft buries the strengths of the game under boring open world stuff.

From ice races to climbing on steep slopes and rallycross through gravel and mud to gymkhana stunt events, there is something for every taste. And if I don't feel like going to a certain event, I just skip it. You are by no means forced to go along with everything, and that's a good thing.

Ghostrunner really grabbed me for two reasons: On the one hand, thanks to the ingeniously playful level design, I feel like a child on the adventure playground again. And on the other hand, Ghostrunner lets me feel that there is no need for superpowers to gamble through, if you just really dig into the mechanics and levels.

The fact that recruits can easily be found in the world is also a good way of drawing attention to the open world. Because it should be seen: As an open-world city, London feels amazingly real and is full of life. Sometimes I ignore all the missions and prefer to drive a little with music through the brightly lit streets, watch people while I am strolling along the Thames or fly high over the roofs in a cargo drone to look for the best way to a hidden technology point.

The eight characters allow for a very varied approach, depending on their composition. I also liked the strategy part with the base building as a resting place between the missions. It underlines the feeling of being part of a long-established resistance movement. On the other hand, I was hoping for more from the perspective of the Russian partisans. Despite the scenario, the narrative remains very superficial.

Torchlight 3 is not worthy of its name. Exploring the game world is worth zero. Where have all the side missions gone? The transformations for my pet? The fight with two one-handed weapons? Why are there no more jewel sockets and why do I have to collect rat shit in a main quest? This game is monotonous, generic and soulless. If you just turn off your brain for an hour or two, you can still get in here. But if you want more for your money, you're in the wrong place.
