Red Dead Redemption 2 is likely to go down as the best game of the generation. Rockstar has outdone themselves, delivering one of the biggest, richest, most engrossing open world games ever made. Recent cRPG releases have revitalized the genre and proven that a great single-player game can gather a huge passionate playerbase, no microtransactions or live service elements needed. If you enjoy narrative-driven RPGs that feature deep roleplaying systems and a cast of great characters, you owe it to yourself to give Baldur’s Gate 3 a chance. I have not felt such a rush of emotions since Dragon Age: Origins.- GameSpace

With tons of enjoyable content available in Persona 5 Royal, it’s worth more than its price tag though not necessarily for those who have played Persona 5 previously. A gorgeous and wonderful open world adventure full of discovery, magic, and the same threat that exemplifies FromSoftware's Souls series. In short, it's no surprise that Shadow of the Erdtree has received mixed reviews and I've had mixed experiences with it. Shadow of the Erd Tree is a double dose of everything that's good about Elden Ring, plus a dose of FromSoftware isn't-so-great stuff. And 25 hours of play is clearly not enough for me to form an impression of such a contrasting gaming experience. The game is interesting, exciting, but I think that we already need something new.- GameSpace

Silksong can be considered an excellent and even exemplary Metroidvania. It is damn nice to play while exploring every picturesque corner of the teeming world. It is gorgeously structured, the modified role-playing system, although it has become a little less diverse, is still pleasant. Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty will not bring anything super expected, or something that will make everyone pull out their hair. This game has already taken a very worthy place, and it is very deserved and justified, just even if you look at its path. And this is true. I liked this expansion and I recommend everyone to explore this universe, there are so many interesting and new places and characters in it that it would be wrong to say something bad. All in all, I didn’t like Cuphead in the slightest. I fell in love with it. The charm and care they put into this game brings back a nostalgia I haven’t felt in many years. Not nostalgia for the 1930s, as I wasn’t born yet, and I’m not quite that old to have watched American Golden Age Cartoons, but nostalgia for the challenging feel-good types of games I played as a younger self. While the stark challenge might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and 1930s cartoony art styles might not appeal to today’s anime crowds, what StudioMDHR has created is nothing short of a masterpiece. If there was ever a game to take a chance on, this would be it. Leave your silverware at the door and pick up a cup, you won’t be disappointed.- GameSpace

The Witch Queen seems to be one of the best additions to Destiny 2 right now. The local story campaign is definitely unmatched by previous expansions thanks to the varied gameplay and location design. But only a veteran of the game will be able to fully enjoy the plot, and for a beginner, half of the names and terms will remain an empty phrase. Is this a good entry point to Destiny 2? Barely. But the campaign gameplay can captivate them both, as it juggles playstyles and places entirely new demands on combat skills on Legendary difficulty. This is not a full-fledged single-player action yet, but something very similar to it. All the more interesting in which direction Bungie will go and what the finale of Destiny 2 will be.- GameSpace

While the story mode allows a bit of the customization that was found in Xenoverse, FighterZ is much more focused on being a balanced fighting game rather than an RPG, and it’s all the better for it.- GameSpace

Total War: Warhammer 3 is a uniquely complex game, mildly overwhelming with the diversity of features and options it offers, each adding their own nuances to gameplay. Any strategy or RPG lover will find something to enjoy in this game, from memorable cast of characters to massive army battles and sieges.- GameSpace

Returnal is the first game in a long time to bring back that sense of excitement for gaming for me. When you wake up in the morning, you can't wait to jump into the game for a couple of hours. The ability to pause a run and save your progress at any moment intensifies that feeling threefold. After all, whenever you get the chance, you can fire up Returnal again and enjoy the shooting and exploring the world for an hour, two hours, or even the whole evening, all while burning with frustration over yet another ridiculous defeat. I’m even a little upset that I didn’t play it sooner.- GameSpace

Despite the bugs and crashes, incomprehensible mechanics and the complete emptiness of the island, there is something to like in Sons Of The Forest. The best part of this game, as weird as it sounds, is the forest itself and what they did to the game's visuals. [Early Access Provisional Score = 75]- GameSpace

It’s clear to see that Civ 6 is going to be one of my most-played Switch games, because that’s just the kind of game it is. You can’t say no to one more turn, and I can already foresee many times where my feet fall asleep in the bathroom.- GameSpace

While Monster Train provides a premiere deck building experience, it isn’t perfect by any means. Some cards and encounters aren’t explained particularly well. I found at times I had to experiment with how some things worked, simply because you may find that certain enemies aren’t what you thought they were, and some cards or encounters don’t fulfill the expectations you had for them. The streak system, banking on how many concurrent wins you had is a nice addition, but it becomes frustrating as, sometimes, you just don’t have the cards in your deck to win. It would have been nice to have a reward system, to bring over at least one card from the previous run so that you can build on your past success. Still, even with these perceptual issues or missed opportunities, Monster Train still has me returning for more. Monster Train is definitely an unexpected hidden gem.- GameSpace

If you’ve been waiting since DQVIII for a Dragon Quest title to hit your PlayStation, you’ll be glad it’s finally here. It may not do a lot to push the genre forward, but like the game’s design so clearly sets out to do, Dragon Quest XI is an homage to the JRPG and its fans. It’s an immense, addictive, and joyful experience from the first moment on. I cannot recommend it enough.- GameSpace

This is the best Forza Motorsports game yet and, dare I say, the best racing game all year. From the gorgeous graphics, dynamic weather, and largest roster of cars to date; this is the ultimate in racing simulation and I can’t wait to experience this game on the upcoming Xbox One X to see it all in glorious 4K.- GameSpace

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a very atmospheric game, full of feelings and emotions. It is beautifully terrifying and terribly beautiful, allowing players to admire the destroyed cathedral and crumbling statues, a decayed village, a flooded temple of magic and other charmingly gloomy locations.- GameSpace

Cadence of Hyrule is every bit a classic Zelda adventure with the added wrinkle of a rhythm puzzle game. It's not overly long, but Cadence of Hyrule is the kind of game that will kill you over and over again, and you'll still keep begging for more.- GameSpace

The art style, mixed with the fun mechanic of deck building, puzzles, and overarching story is just phenomenal. And that my friends, is just Act I, at already 8 hours of playtime. Inscryption has three total acts, with much, much more content waiting for you to uncover. It has been a bit since I finished the game, but I haven’t been able to put out the review because of life things. Even so, months later, I still can’t get Inscryption out of my head. It’s just that good. You will not find a better bargain for your buck as far as story-rich horror games go.- GameSpace

Kingdom Two Crowns is an ideal sequel, and the perfect console strategy game. There's nothing here that anyone can't pick up and understand, and yet the rabbit hole goes deep and the mystery slowly unfolds as you progress into the game's many lands. It's a great game for the solo player, and even better with a friend. Do yourself a favor, and pick it up and love it as I have.- GameSpace

Overall I felt Wasteland 3 to be an amazing successor to a great franchise and had me addicted within the first 10 minutes of play. It offers a great and compelling story with twists and choices that matter. The characters are robust and with the gorgeous artwork that is Colorado helps to bring everything to life. The combat is great and works well and I didn’t find it tedious. The skill system offers depth of choice for making characters and brings some interesting things to the game. My only complaint really comes in the form of a few bugs, but otherwise Wasteland 3 is everything I could want in a post apoc turn based combat game with a Frozen Ferret Launcher.- GameSpace

I think anybody that enjoyed playing the Fallout games, as well as anyone that has enjoyed the Mass Effect titles, would unequivocally enjoy their time playing The Outer Worlds. I had so much fun exploring every nook and cranny, scouring out-of-the-way locations for loot, taking everything that wasn’t nailed down, and immersing myself in the otherworldy locations around Halcyon.- GameSpace

Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age Remastered is one of the better ports I have played in any game series. I played entirely in handheld mode and only ran into the problem of recharging the system every three hours of gameplay or so. You can once again get lost in FFXII with all updated graphics and gameplay. And if you've never had the chance to play it before, any Switch owner and RPG lover would do well to pick this one up.- GameSpace

Overall, Starfield is fine. It's a Frankenstein's monster of other sci-fi games and references, and it doesn't do any of those things better than existing products. The battle? Cyberpunk 2077 is smoother. Mining and geological exploration? This is all No Man's Sky. Controlling the ship? FTL still reigns. RPG story? Can't compare to Outer Worlds. But even after all this, the game is good and will keep players engaged for a long, long while.- GameSpace

For those looking for a PvP-intensive MOBA, Battlerite delivers some of the best small-scale battles you can find. Rounds are quick, but gameplay is addictive and fluid enough that you can continually play without realizing it. Though it may not have much depth, Battlerite has lots of action packed into an easy to learn package.- GameSpace
