The developers promised to focus on individual people - and they weren’t lying. Three Kingdoms is great at building interpersonal drama, but can pivot into all-out bloody war at a moment’s notice. You will not find a better Total War.

This remaster will please mainly new players. Veterans will notice many missing pieces and differences from the original which are bound to sour the mood.

Tropico 6 is easy on the eye, complex, diverse and fun, but at the same time very similar to its predecessors. Other faults include illogical design decisions and technical difficulties.

Become a judge during the French Revolution and decide who gets to keep their head. The game will listen to your every decision, but be careful - or you will taste the guillotine yourself.

This utterly beautiful platformer may look like it’s meant for children, but don’t let yourself be fooled - it’s hard, so much so that even the easy mode presents a challenge. The co-op mode could use a bit of work, but all in all, this is another excellent Nintendo game.

Vane is heavily inspired by several successful indie titles, but borrows from them in all the wrong places and fails to bring anything new to the table. It’s pretty, but not beautiful - not enough to offset the bland gameplay, terrible controls and awkward camera.

Every Android and iOS user should delight themselves by this fateful story. This is an almost perfect mobile game, an experience unlike any other. Florence will feel close and familiar to all the people in the world.

Farming Simulator 19 is… just another Farming Simulator game. Slight changes include new graphics, horses and John Deere machines. It’s still the best farming simulator around, with all the strengths and weaknesses of its predecessors, but you won’t miss much if you skip it.

A robotic medieval knight and dungeons full of gold? An irresistible combination. This weird platformer is pleasant to look at and fun to play, even though it’s a bit rusty around the edges.

Every fan of the genre and of World War 2 should be excited about this very solid turn-based strategy. For everyone else, it’s “just” a very complex and difficult game.

A textbook example of how to make a game based on a sensitive topic. If Syrian refugee Nour and her husband Majd simply jumped out of the app they’re using to communicate with each other, I wouldn’t even be surprised. I will never forget our world seen through their eyes.

Lack of several DLCs can be overlooked, impossibility to buy the big Rise & Fall expansion less so, and the butchered multiplayer options are downright annoying. Still, this is a good port of a brilliant game which is a perfect fit for Nintendo Switch.

Although I was initially unsure about it, Book of Demons turned into another pleasant indie surprise. It’s beautifully stylized, you can easily adjust its scope to fit your schedule and the challenge is appropriately set.

A tiny jewel in the turn-based strategy genre, Mutant Year Zero boasts a brilliant post-apocalyptic atmosphere and a cast of charismatic people (and animals). The combat system works perfectly largely thanks to the integrated stealth and scouting element. The difficulty may be harsh, but it’s also fair and makes the victories all the more rewarding.

A very good port of a very good game. The only relevant mode is the local competitive one, but it’s so brilliant it doesn’t really matter. The strong points of the game are further accentuated by Nintendo Switch and its Joy-Cons.

In theory, a brilliant card game for a demanding audience. In reality, a concept heavily damaged by bad balancing and a truly terrible monetization system. It may yet prove to be a success in the future - but right now, this is a game for wealthy masochists only.

Just Cause 4 is very faithful to its predecessors - and it proves detrimental. You can let off steam thanks to the crazy action gameplay, but there’s barely any progress compared to the rest of the series. Furthermore, the game is plagued by technical difficulties. If you own the previous installment, you should think twice before buying this one.

A missed opportunity. This zombie co-op lacks the charm of the original comic book and its gameplay doesn’t dazzle. It is, at its core, a slightly above-average shooter bogged down by questionable rules and ideas. The result is boring and often frustrating.

A brilliantly interwoven story of friendship and war is let down by simple gameplay and constant distractions. The few interesting mechanisms and a good script simply cannot carry the whole game on their back.

The Council’s conclusion unfortunately cannot match its promising beginnings. Pleasantly difficult puzzles are contrasted by an incredibly stupid story, further impaired by bad voice acting, erratic graphics and number of technical mistakes small and large.

This very good turn-based strategy utilizes the unusual setting of Mechanicus Tech-priests and offers a broad selection of modifications, abilities and gear. Among other positives are the time-limited campaign and impressive enemy variety. The game is, however, missing difficulty settings and will therefore appeal only to less demanding players.

A sci-fi version of Darkest Dungeon. It has a weak story and its procedurally generated missions are tedious, but battles and development of your heroes are strangely addictive.

This is a must have game for every Witcher fan. Great story with meaningful decisions standing on the shoulders of fun card battles and puzzles and innovative gameplay mechanics.

With no campaign, Battle Royale mode really shines. Zombie co-op mode is surprisingly addictive, but there is another surprise – big technical errors you wouldn’t expect in an Activision game.

The sympathetic adventure of a courageous salesman, which sometimes suffers from a relatively straightforward gameplay, but it can bewitch you with its atmosphere and the smooth action.

The great potential of the game on hunters and victims has not been used. Murderous Pursuits would need more content, technical care and, ultimately, players to escape the stereotype.

Vampyr can bewitch with its atmosphere and conquer with the skillful delivery of a quality story. However, the RPG and action parts didn´t succeed, and the intended main pull in the form of heavy choices, whom to kill and whom to let live, is also lost to the lack of impact of your action. Although the game can entertain in the end, it often disappoints instead.

At first glance an unprecedented story-telling and visually impressive survival, at the second glance, a somehow unfinished work, where you often run, craft and die for no reason.

The agony can shock and literally enjoys gore and perversion. Underneath the peel of disgust and obscenity, it does not cover anything else than doctrinal playability, bad design decisions, bugs and boredom. You do not want to pay for such a form of suffering.

A tactical real-time strategy which takes on medieval stories of strong warriors and unchallenged kings. It's not overflowing with originality, but it offers a portion of decent entertainment for several long evenings and not only for history fans and forged strategists. The game is an honest invitation to the dark times of European history, with a few freckles on beauty, but with a fast gradient and accessibility for almost everyone who does not have problems with the RTS genre.

In State of Decay 2 we got additions that we didn’t even need, while the mechanics that called for changes (such as fighting) remained without any major interference. The game shoves in multiplayer too much, which degrades some parts of the single-player into a digital chore. Eventually, you may not even appreciate, that the game is bigger than the first one.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is slightly hard on newcomers, but if you’ll give it more time and try to find its extraordinary playability, you will have a good time. This is mainly due to spectacular battles, which, in addition to the frantic pushing of the buttons, require the involvement of brain capacity. Experienced Warriors should, however, consider whether it makes sense to enter the same river for the second or third time.

A very good survival. It does not offer much originality, but the familiar elements are combined to create a fresh result. Higher ratings are hampered by technical problems, but the game can handle complaints with a great deal of content, a well-balanced gameplay, funny action and, of course, an attractive setting.

Another one of the many powerful playstation exclusives that bets on exciting narrative with tense emotional moments, serious decisions and sophisticated characters. It is great to look at and it also plays well, and we are happy to forgive it a few mistakes when it comes to controls.

A beautiful, yet sadly dystopian game. Unfortunately, the playing itself is the least funny part of the game. It’s a must-buy for fans of the Ghiblian-style animation, for others an interesting probe into your own conscience. It’s an enjoyable experience, however you do have to overcome the bad controls during jumping passages, fortunately the game doesn’t have many of those.

The Crew 2, the open-world racing game offers too many options and often fails to finish its innovative ideas. Still, it is a fantastic game where players with a little patience can have fun for a long time.

Wreckfest will surprise you with its perfect driving model, top demolition, entertaining artificial intelligence, and a career full of funny challenges. There is some space for improvement, for example the user interface and old school multiplayer which will probably discourage the spoilt players.

Addition to Prey is decorated with fresh mechanics and an interesting change in the overall pace, but some of the positives of the original have also been sacrificed. In particular, exploration of the environment, atmosphere build-up and the possibility of slow approach. Mooncrash is still worth playing, thanks to the catchy rogue-lite system, meaningful storyline and great music and sound.

Most of Downward Spiral’s fun comes from its untraditional way of movement. You will come across parts where it works perfectly. But then its spell goes away somehow. You can add a point if you have VR glasses at home or a friend who will jump into weightlessness with you.

A well-made arcade game with a relatively original action concept that works surprisingly well. Onrush would be better with more content, options and deeper system, but the current version can entertain.

An average arcade game for relaxing after a long day that will entertain you for a while but in a few days, you will forget about it. The core of the game is fun, but after playing for a while you are facing stereotype and boredom.

Captivating action, wide shot and unprecedented user-friendliness. Shadowgun Legends is on its way to become the king of mobile shooters. However, on the way to the throne it is stopped a few stairs beneath it, because of its unimaginative design.

The NeocoreGames studio tried to refresh the functional concept we were used to by making it less fun and less interesting. The playgrounds are great, and the Warhammer world can pull you in, but the gameplay is quickly depleted due to "innovations" and the Martyr turns into a boring grind.

Cultist Simulator is a laboratory of bizarre ideas and that corresponds with conflicting gaming experience. The story of a cult was squeezed into a pack of cards, but originality alone doesn’t provide fun.

Unravel Two feels more like a cooperative spinoff embedded in the same world than a perfectly polished continuation of the amazing first game. Its fun basics are still working smoothly, only the the game doesn’t work with them in an interesting way and doesn’t move them any further.

Promising, but unfinished in every direction. That's Symmetry. A survival game without which you can definitely survive.
