Nioh 3 refines its formula with a dual combat style system—Samurai and Ninja—that adds a new strategic layer while improving upon established mechanics. The action shifts to 'Open Fields,' offering larger maps packed with activities. Ultimately, it is an improved experience, though its steep difficulty remains a high barrier for newcomers.

Atlus brings us back a JRPG classic like Persona 3 Reload with new improvements and amazing graphics. It is essentially the same story, some plots are adapted with better character development and changes here and there. The gameplay that was introduced in Persona 5 is back and works very well. It is a much more dynamic game than the original 2006 title and just as entertaining.

Prince of Persia takes the series on a new path, it is a great proposal for this Metroidvania and of course we have several changes in its story. We have ingenious puzzles and fast-paced combat, the start of the game is slow and the bad graphics make it clear to us that the game was made for smartphones. If you are a fan of this genre you probably won't find anything original in it.

Pentiment is one of those games that seem simple but enclose you more than what they show from the outside. It is a narrative with a strong classic adaptation, which many lovers of the middle ages and the genre will love. It is not the perfect game, but it will give us a very interesting story.

Bayonetta 3 is the sequel that takes the saga down new paths with new mechanics, new playable characters and flirting with the theme of cinema and TV of the moment, the multiverse. It has a few minor bugs, but it's still an excellent hack and slash action title that only the team at PlatinumGames can do.

Ghost of Yōtei builds on its predecessor’s essence, delivering an intense tale of revenge led by a new, compelling protagonist inspired by the best of the genre. The game blends more dynamic combat, engaging exploration, and stunning visuals. While it doesn’t reinvent the formula, its seamless combination of elements creates a cinematic, addictive, and deeply immersive experience.

Arc Raiders stands out for its remarkable optimization and stunning visuals, delivering a highly entertaining and visually striking co-op experience. While some mechanics still need fine-tuning, the game shows great potential and could become one of the best extraction shooters if it manages to stay fresh over time. Embark Studios presents an ambitious project here—one that perfectly balances action, humor, and just the right amount of challenge.

Silent Hill f feels like it may have started as a standalone project before being folded into the franchise. Still, it carries over key elements of the series—psychological horror, trauma-driven characters, and a suffocating atmosphere—that work well and fit the concept. Certain aspects will likely divide the community, but it remains a worthy experience for fans of horror and Silent Hill alike.

Returnal completely surpasses the PS5 version by providing wonderful graphics and amazing optimization. It literally squeezes the full potential of the new GPUs. One of the best combinations is 3D Audio with Dolby Atmos and of course the DualSense support makes the game way more immersive. Returnal is one of the best choices for PC gamers this 2023.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is disappointing, as the initial excitement fades with poorly implemented mechanics that add nothing new. While the story and graphics are appealing, the game falls short due to flawed gameplay design, making it feel less like a true Indiana Jones adventure.

Twisted Reflections is a game that represents a true 'more and better' approach, as it expands on what made previous entries great across several key areas. Its narrative, cast of characters, and beautiful world will definitely earn the fans' approval. The gameplay is more challenging, featuring new systems that are more complex and satisfying. It is a highly recommended game.

Persona 4 Golden is just as good as the fifth game despite the years it takes. It is a dark world in which we will spend hundreds of hours fighting enemy forces on the one hand, and dealing with our daily lives on the other.

Octopath Traveler II will correct what was not convincing in the first game. Although the game is very close to what has already been seen, it is still an excellent JRPG. Now we have new mechanics that make it a more strategic game. The interaction between characters is much better because of how they relate to each other. If you liked the first game, you'll love this one for sure.

Don't let its silly appearance fool you, but Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is a game that offers a lot. Unlike other strategy games, this one offers more freedom in combat. The scenarios were further expanded and some of their mechanics were improved. You can give it a try even if it doesn't have a multiplayer mode.

Pragmata is a third-person action game with a unique twist on shooting and hacking that gives its gameplay a strong strategic component. Although its story isn't all that surprising, we will at least love how the protagonist bonds with Diana and how both grow as characters. It doesn't revolutionize the genre, but its mix of concepts is interesting enough to give it a try.

Crusader Kings III: Console Edition is another excellent port. The game expresses strategy in the best way and carries it in its own veins, it can be complex due to its nature but the best of all is that every match is different.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the definitive version of the original game that adds new content; although somewhat sparse, it is at least fun. It is more focused on its multiplayer aspect (though somewhat restrictive), and its graphical side did not require many tweaks, but it is content worth considering if we are fans of platformers.

Despite its charming chibi aesthetic, Echoes of Wisdom is the best version of The Legend of Zelda yet. Despite some changes in the mechanics, I think Nintendo's first adventure turned out very well. We must recognize it for what it is: a game in which we had to replace our beloved Link.

One of the most aesthetically pleasing remasters to date is Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. While it improves the original game, it still has some minor visual issues. It also introduces all the upgrades and mechanics that made Forbidden West so successful. An excellent time to jump in to the franchise or give it another try.

Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is a very different and disturbing proposal for lovers of the graphic novel genre. On many occasions we will not know what to do and we will constantly be testing what can work to advance the plot. The game is not dubbed into Spanish, this may be a problem for some. Your dose of scary moments is going to happen.

DOOM: The Dark Ages reinvents the classic FPS with a medieval twist that shifts the pace without losing the franchise’s brutal essence. While its gameplay demands some adjustment and the visuals aren't particularly impressive compared to previous entries, it runs smoothly on PC and its narrative piques curiosity. It’s a bold gamble that, without breaking the legacy, deliberately strays from the traditional formula.

This remake stays very faithful (perhaps too faithful) to the original work, preserving both the story it’s known for and its core gameplay. However, it features noticeable graphical improvements, a new over-the-shoulder control scheme, enhancements to the camouflage system, and refined stealth mechanics. While it doesn’t introduce major changes, it still stands as an essential title.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a sure candidate for GOTY because of how great it is. It's hard not to get hooked on its story or fall in love with its artistic direction, it makes us empathize with the characters and their experiences. Every player should give it a chance, even the first game.

The JRPG Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is brought to modern consoles so that those fans who are so fond of it can enjoy it. It is a game that has a sometimes tragic story but that keeps the player watching. It is very replayable due to the various endings it has. As a port, my complaint is that hardly any improvements are implemented.
