Hogwarts Legacy is probably the best Harry Potter game out there. Hogwarts and the wizarding world are very faithful to the original, and each quest is designed to make the content rich, but not deep enough.

Risk of Rain Returns partly reflects the progress made in the Roguelite genre a decade ago. However, compared to many modern Roguelite games that have kept up with the times, it still shows some clear flaws and areas that need improvement.

Although Miles Morales inherits the excellence of the previous work, it's not a satisfying finale for PS4, both graphics and contents are not satisfying enough.

Compared to the original version, you barely can find any difference in Ultra Sun/Moon. The good part is, USUM keeps the advantages of SM, while the bad part is, many previous faults can still be found in USUM. This is an expansion with no sincerity.

It is pretty obvious that AoE II definitive edition shows more respect to players than the HD edition. Even though new AI still has some logical problem, the new contents and multiplayer lobby are interesting, and the upgraded graphic textures look impressive with 4K resolution. You will find both memories and future here.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins takes a bold step towards RPG elements while retaining the classic core that has defined this long-running franchise. It breaks new ground for the series, offering a storyline that masterfully balances historical accuracy with dramatic flair. Even if you're well versed in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, this game offers a fresh perspective, evoking new emotions and insights. The combat system retains the franchise's trademark excitement while incorporating modern innovations to deliver the most immersive battlefield atmosphere in the series to date.

Gris creates a colorful, unique and unforgettable inner world, with a beautiful art style, and great music. Although Nomada Studio can make its game more fun to play, as the first piece of its works, Gris is still a fantastic indie game.

Football Manager 2024 may look a little like its predecessor, but it's only when you get hands-on with it that you realise how the changes it has made to various aspects of the game have completely changed the world of football.

Although there are a few obvious flaws that bother me, Two Point Hospital does make a great progress compared with Theme Hospital, and it definitely won't let old fans down.

The traditional multiplayer offers the most classic and satisfying shooting experience. The maps of Zombies mode is greatly expanded. Black Out makes a great progress for battle-royale games in terms of battles. Though Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 doesn't make much difference compared with its prequel or other battle-royale games, it's still the best shooting game on earth.

The beautiful sightseeing, intense samurai combat, and fascinating side-missions of Ghost of Tsushima are appealing for me. But the dull and repetitive open-world makes the exploration experience boring.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may lack the innovative gameplay and changeable pace that the Modern Warfare series is known for, but in an era where developers big and small chase novelty and change, it stands out for its commitment to stability and tradition. Ultimately, it delivers a solid entry in the Call of Duty franchise that fans will appreciate.

Kotaro Uchikoshi continues his style in AI: The Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative, which is also one of the best AVG games of the year. It uses a dual narrative thread to create two worlds that are six years apart, yet closely connected, and gives the players enough surprises with a super plot twist at the end. The renovation of the investigation mechanism and the increase in pseudoscience content make this game seem more "detective style". Excellent characterizations, as well as a large number of interesting memes, all give the players a different type of emotional experience. The addition of more mini-games also brings a lot of different kinds of fun to the game. Unfortunately, the connection between the two protagonists in this game is too weak. In addition, the new protagonist Ryuki seems to be difficult to attract the attention of the players. Moreover, this game ends too hastily, failing to push the player's experience to a climax at last. This makes this game a little short of a masterpiece, unable to stand out among the many excellent works of Kotaro Uchikoshi.

There is no doubt that Kingdom Hearts III will make long term fans moved or even cry. As for those new to the franchise, I believe they also can be satisfied because of tons of classic Disney elements and solid combat system, even though they could barely understand the main story.

The strongest feeling I got from Kena: Bridge of Spirits is that it is "eclectic". It extracts the folk culture and religious culture, and then injects them into the Disney-like art style, creating a wonderful chemical reaction that is shocking enough.

Splatoon 3 doesn't change the gameplay in a big way, but rather builds on Splatoon 2 to enrich the content and greatly enhance the experience. For new players, whether you are a fan of FPS games or not, you will be able to get a unique pleasure from it. For veterans, even though the game does not offer breaking changes, the core gameplay is good enough, and the game is now optimized with the addition of Chinese localization, I really can't think of any reason to reject it.

The fast-paced bullet-hell boss battles in TEVI are satisfying, but its Metroidvania design is just okay. The levels are too similar and have some problems that detract from the fun. Despite these flaws, the overall quality of the game is still impressive.

Octopath Traveler is a classic JRPG which reminds me some former masterpieces like Romancing SaGa and Final Fantasy VI. I really appreciate the idea of using 8 characters to tell stories, and the unique talents that every character has. But I still think the storyline could be better, and these characters could have more interaction.

The SLG part of Triangle Strategy is quite worth playing, but this game slightly falls short in terms of story design and role development freedom and still lags far behind Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics, the games to which it pays homage. Despite being unremarkable, it is still an SLG game worth trying, given the scarcity of this type of games lately.

While staying true to its small-scale, casual approach, Cat Quest 3 avoids the trap of overloading content to create an open world. Instead, it offers a highly flexible exploration experience. In addition, the game further enhances the equipment system, allowing for clearer role specialisation when playing in co-op mode.
