This War of Mine is an important game, both as a glance into the life of civilians ruined by war, but also as a great survival game. It's only a shame that the tedious days and repetitive encounters hamper the experience.

The biggest shake-up for Diablo IV since launch looks to be its best so far. Vessel of Hatred offers up a compelling story, a fun new class, and an exciting world to explore, all while sticking to the dark and gritty themes that worked so well for the main game.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is both great remakes, filled to the brim with a superb selectipn of Pokémon, beautiful graphics, as well as the interesting, new DexNav, which changes the way you go about catching monsters. It also has lame side activities and a lop-sided multiplayer, but that does little to ruin the experience in any major ways.

Borderlands 3 is, quite simply, more Borderlands. That means excessive charming humor, great variety in environments and sidequests and a lot of fun coop action spread throughout. The things that hold the game back are mostly minor annoyances – like the overabundance of everlasting boss fights and the gruesomely tiresome inventory management – but all in all this is a package that simply works.

Still, there's so much that's cool, beautiful, and cozy about Pragmata's lunar dystopia that I can't help but enjoy it. The heavy, traumatic, and humane situations in several other father-and-child simulators are undeniably good, but I appreciate that here we're served something that's mostly noticeably lighter – and more cheerful. I identify much more with Hugh's approach to a small child, despite the fact that he's not technically Diana's dad, than the way Joel and Kratos behave.
