The beautiful world, noticeable graphics and unique characters make Skyward Sword come to life. Thanks to Wii Motion Plus the game has precise control that pull you in the adventure even more. An experience that makes you forget the five years of waiting.

This is a classic Kirby-platformer: Kirby sucks its opponents into his little pink belly and takes over their abilities. Easy as can be, but fun for the youngsters.

Anno 2070 pushes the series to incredible highs and is amongst the best in its genre. The easy to learn controls and rules, new online options and the way you can build while preserving nature all make this the best strategy game of 2011.

This is still the same Mario Kart as you've played over and over again. You still drive in karts, trying (and failing) to avoid different projectiles while crying foul at the competition. It's also just as addicting as ever.

The puzzles in Rochard are challenging without being unnecessary frustrating and find the right balance. Every so often that balance disappears with chaotic shooting sections.

Third time's a charm, but also extremely predictable. We all know what to expect here because we have played it twice already.

To the Moon is about life and death. It's almost art in the sense that it can truly make you care for what happens in the game. It pretends to be a traditional JRPG and it plays like a point-and-click adventure. It comes with some restrictions, but the sublime story telling on offer here will linger in your thoughts for a long time.

Saints Row is a playground for adults, a not so subtle satire of modern culture and entertainment. It's also the opposite of Grand Theft Auto. It's very rough around the edges, unfortunately, and isn't that much different from its predecessor. Still, it's proper fun.

Trine 2 is what the original should have been. The world looks like a fairytale come to life, puzzles are more original and the online mode is a logical addition. But thanks to the lack of new gameplay elements, Trine 2 often feels like a polished version of the original.

This new Ratchet & Clank-adventure uses funny weapons, happy science fiction and lots of shooting and jumping to present the first cooperative adventure of the couple. But it lacks the magic, inspiration and creativity of the previous games.

Skyrim is Bethesda's magnum opus. The game combines the best elements from Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 and makes it an outstanding adventure. The quality and quantity on offer here is incredible.

Fusion: Genesis is perhaps slightly overambitious, but in the end a most intriguing game about space exploration and adventure. It lacks an overall depth and the side quests are extremely boring, but we still hope it is the start of something new and exciting.

Revelations is a quality adventure, a complete package filled with spectacle, great presentation and replayability. The game does have some bugs and new players won't be as engrossed as people who have been following the series since the beginning.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North has a good story which is intertwined with the original saga, but it isn't a good game. Repetitive hack and slash action, a low difficulty level and a lot of small errors prevent it from being any better. Even though it doesn't pose much of a challenge it is still fun enough to play through the adventure with two other players.

The singleplayer of Modern Warfare 3 closes the trilogy on a high note, the Spec Ops-mode has been improved both quality- and quantity-wise and the multiplayer has been rebalanced. But there isn't any surprise to be found in the game. It's time that the series reinvents itself before its too late, but this is still an extremely solid conclusion.

Minecraft may not look the part, but what it lacks in fancy bells and whisles, it more than makes up for through sheer depth. Creative players can spend countless hours building, while real adventurers will go on to explore the game world. And best of all, thanks to numerous updates it gets even bigger and better.

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded isn't as iconic as the original, but still offers some enjoyable moments. The first and last levels are the best in the game and really capture that James Bond-feeling. Splitscreen multiplayer for four people is still as much fun as ever.

Drake's Deception takes its time to shape a story, and the result is a game that really comes together in the second half. When it does, it's really spectacular and questions that have been lingering in the background are answered in interesting ways. If the exciting singleplayer isn't enough content for your liking, the multiplayer offers a fun pastime.
