For an hour-long experience, the main thing I took away from The Search were cheap puzzle mechanics and quotes by American lecturer Joseph Campbell. If the game’s main themes were not as openly sermonising, then I could see the narrative being less tedious and players would get more out of it. But sadly, the extent of the story would have been much better suited as an essay, short film, or poem.

Conga Master Party is a really fun game to play, particularly in multiplayer. It’s a real throwback to the primary mobile games, a time when Smartphones were non-existent. Full 360 degree movement, colourful graphics, a quirky soundtrack, and a good progression system make this game a solid entry for indie titles on the Switch.

Kingdoms and Castles is an amazingly sweet experience. It currently has a lot of room to grow, but the base experience is already very satisfying -- with charming graphics and smooth gameplay, this is one of those games you can just lose yourself for hours after a hard day’s work. The best titles in the strategy genre have that amazing ability to let you accomplish something while providing you a relaxing experience, and in that regard, Kingdoms and Castles is up there with the best of them.

This title is pretty and has decent platforming despite not pulling the player in or offering challenging puzzles. Simply put, it does as much right as it does wrong. It’s short, but it doesn’t overstay its welcome due to that. It’s too easy, but it makes for a nice quick completion when you’ve got some extra time. Might not be a bad idea to wait for a sale and complete it in only a little bit more time than it takes to download.

I found Project Remedium’s aura to be its highlight, and gameplay its downfall. It claims to be story-driven, but there isn’t much of a story. Missions are utterly generic without much to enhance the experience in terms of skill trees or equipment. I definitely recommend Project Remedium based on its concept alone, but the gameplay itself is no better than average.

If you're looking for something to play that's a little naughty and is actually fun, there are better games. If you're looking for a time and money management game that feels mock-naughty, then you can give this one a try. The game isn't terribly fun or entertaining, it could be re-branded as Hollywood Studio Tycoon with a few explosions and movie modes added and it'd probably be a better game.

The PC market is already over-saturated with zombie shooters, and Crimson Earth doesn’t bring anything new to the table. DeadCore is a challenging puzzle-platformer that really demands a high skill level of its player base. Visually is it incredibly uninspired and overly busy in places, which can make the occasional frame drops quite frustrating. The mix between first-person shooting mechanics and freerunning platforming make the game a blast to play. For those who want a challenging platforming title on the PS4, DeadCore is right up your alley. For casual gamers out there, I would recommend going elsewhere.

Not only is Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 the best football game in terms of graphics, it is the best I have experienced in terms of gameplay. The level of detail and player likenesses create a game that comes as close to you'll get to the real thing. There are still a few minor issues with presentation, and perhaps a few more changes could have been made to Master League and Become a Legend, but I'm clutching at straws here. The gameplay is near perfection, the AI and goalkeepers are improved, Konami have added further licenses to their product, and the graphics are amazing. Hopefully the servers are ready for online and with just a few minor presentation improvements to be improved on, PES really has set the bar of what a football game should be.

Playing The Lazaretto is a llot like playing through a lot of different haunted house games mashed together. With more supporting details and tension built up around these individual concepts, the creators may have had something actually scary, but blended all together the game feels unfocused, as if they thought just adding in this particular thing here mixed with a few jump scares would make an instant horror game. Good horror thankfully, is not that simple. There’s always a chance that later chapters will resolve all these crazy unexplained plot elements down the line, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku is a fun and enjoyable game. It has little to no faults, it looks gorgeous, it also has a huge replay value with Co-op, and trying to beat your best times in dungeons. If you enjoyed games like The Binding Of Isaac then you will love this. While it may not be as difficult, it is still as fun.

The game encapsulates the frustration and confusion that I have often heard Kafka’s work draws upon. Unfortunately, these things work about as well in a videogame as a dollop of jam does in a classic novel. I’d avoid unless you really like the author.

This is a spin off that simply shouldn't be. It tries to take on too many ideas without forming an interesting and engaging core. With boring characters and a story that requires more cutscenes than gameplay, this game really exemplifies why show, don't tell is still true.

Krai Mira: Extended Cut is an interesting title that looks to deliver a game that feels similar in nature to the games of yesteryear. Though it ticks a number of boxes of this goal it falls short on a number of others. As it stands however, Krai Mira: Extended Cut is a lightweight take of the classic post-apocalyptic RPG formula but is just that.

MotoGP 17 is, all in all, the choice motorcycle racer for fans. Unfortunately, this is due to a lack of options rather than anything else.

There’s definitely fun to be had in Lock’s Quest, it’s just unfortunately locked behind a wall of frustrating control issues.

The connecting of cards was rather fluid and the explosions worked like they said they would. I was a little confused on the points system, but I didn’t care enough to investigate further. Other then that the game ran great. Which is terrible simply because I can’t give a worse rating. That’s really all I looked forward to which may sound petty, but remember kids! I’m not the one who made Didgery. I’m just the sucker who has to talk about it.

A competent if uninspiring roguelite platformer that provides a fun, challenging time with lots of things to unlock. Satisfying combat and challenging enemy AI makes the moment to moment gameplay worth a look.

Dark Train has broken the mold when it comes to puzzle games and created a very dark and engaging experience, despite not having a storyline. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a puzzle game that does not hold your hand.

Hurting wrists may be a similar problem to baking in real life, but that shouldn’t be the case for games. Needs more depth of gameplay before it’s ready to be served as an exceptional game, and not as a good one.
