Sands Of Destruction is a series of great ideas that make for a very good, if not great, JRPG. Fans of the genre may find it a bit of a cake walk, but for novices, this could be a good point to hop on the JRPG train and enjoy the lengthy and entertaining ride.- GameFocus

Fright of the Bumble Bees is an interesting start to the series and should be evident that the following three episodes will satisfy adventure gamers. This game is not strictly for fans of the series and may end up turning some people into one. Hardcore adventure gamers might not find this game to be much of a challenge, but people looking for a game that will entertain them or their family members for a few hours will certainly enjoy the puzzles and humor from start to finish.- GameFocus

Full House Poker is a surprisingly solid and enjoyable poker game. Loads of options, several play modes including solo and multi support, and the Texas Heat events make it quite an attractive package for 800 MP.- GameFocus

Dirt: Showdown is a simple, yet fun game with just a few things missing. The change of pace with the encouraged car-colliding is certainly welcomed, and well executed.- GameFocus

At about $13 each, it isn't terribly hard to recommend Jak and Daxter Collection. Even though they don't do their fans any favors in terms of extras, the games themselves are just as wonderfully solid today as they were during their heyday.- GameFocus

With Guitar Hero 5 shipping in less than three months and being touted as “the ultimate Guitar Hero experience”, it’s a bit odd that Activision decided to offer this compilation on a retail disc instead of going with the downloadable content model. Still, any fan of Guitar Hero won’t overlook the fact that you can now play the most popular tracks of the franchise with more than one instrument and won’t hesitate to add the game to their game collection.- GameFocus

This is a great game for parents of kids in their tweens. The game isn’t overly difficult but not easy enough that anyone can breeze through it. For an independent title, making a game like this must have been quite a challenge. At the same time, I could see a bigger developer picking this up and porting it to the DS as it would work really well on that system.- GameFocus

While there is quite a bit of short-term fun here, I can't see it lasting with the less-dedicated players unless Uber takes advantage of their update system and provides a continuous flow of changes to keep things interesting.- GameFocus

Adapted from Korea’s casual golf MMO and cult classic PangYa: Fantasy Golf for the PSP entwines a fantasy story and RPG elements, with an abundance of unlockables and collectibles, and a variety characters, modes, tournaments and challenges. From there, the rest is up to you but if you’ve been looking for another HotShots Golf, then there’s little doubt that you will have fun as you try to become the next PangYa Master.- GameFocus

Tiburon continues to refine one of the best football video games of all time, and though there is more than a fair share of skeptics, the dissent is unwarranted. The action and visuals on the field are the best they've ever been.- GameFocus

While Start the Party lacks on the overall mini-game count, the combination of the varied gameplay, the zany presentation and the dead-on Move controls still makes it a solid choice for those looking to add some group fun to their early Move collection.- GameFocus

A fantastic concept, an enchanting story, a wonderful cast of characters and a setting that still fascinates no matter how many times you visit. But, the Wii's hardware is showing it's limitations at every turn, hampering everything that Warren Spector and crew set out to accomplish.- GameFocus

Certainly, one of the best games I've played this year. Majin is that great, I've forgiven Game Republic for Clash of the Titans. That's right, you've read correctly…forgiven forever.- GameFocus

If Rock Band is an every-Friday-night thing for you, then grabbing Rock Band 3 would be a good call as the evolution the fanchise has made will be much appreciated by fans. If not, then you might want to pass.- GameFocus

If you enjoy beat-em-ups or old-school gaming at all, you should definitely give it a try. It should be noted that while I completed the Xbox 360 version, I found the PS3's d-pad offered more precise control.- GameFocus

NHL 2K10 has the style, but unfortunately, the substance just isn’t as compelling on the Xbox 360/PS3. While the Wii has a shiny new control scheme and a drastic upgrade in content, the HD console versions are merely last year’s game with a new coat of paint. This is a game that plays it too straight and doesn’t take any risks. While it’s more polished than previous games in the series, it just isn’t bringing anything really new to the table this year.- GameFocus

The team at Cavia have without question nailed the entertainment portion of the game. But, the gameplay still needs a few tweaks to remain just as engaging. For a first run, Nier is exactly what it should be; a flawed game with a ton of potential.- GameFocus

There’s no doubt in my mind that Halo 3: ODST is a good action game. Unfortunately, for many gamers, the price tag will be an issue and will play a huge role into the decision of buying, rent it or get it later when its price drops. Add to the fact that Firefight isn’t supported by a matchmaking system, the offering of a standalone disc that contains the multiplayer mode of a game that millions of folks already own (minus three maps) and that re-uses most of what we’ve seen in Halo 3, Microsoft and Bungie have put a small cloud on their cherished franchise that I hope it will never show up again.- GameFocus

Lode Runner is a faithful and well constructed platform puzzler remake. It retains the fun, speed, and poor AI of the original while injecting some life into it with new obstacles. It really is a lot of fun and there is a lot of gameplay to be enjoyed on your own or online.- GameFocus

If you have all the SingStar PS2 games at home and you’re a fan of the series then this game has to be in your game collection - but as always, don’t expect anything other than 30 new songs. The list of SingStar games on the PS2 is getting longer and longer but it’s starting to get old in terms of visuals and technical limitations. Still, it remains one of the most interesting franchises out there, especially with cool compilations like this one.- GameFocus
