Square Enix did the right thing by investing in an entirely new franchise. But in the end, Forspoken is a huge disappointment with too many flaws to be a good game. A bland open world with forgets to shape its own identity, a poor writing and too many weakness from a technical point of view, coexist with some good gameplay mechanics like the spells and the parkour.

As an action platformer, Naruto VS Sasuke is a fair and nice game to play. Its greatest flaw is the amount of similar titles on the DS, to which it doesn't offer anything new. If you're an unconditional fan, you'll still find a well crafted game, but if you're used to playing Naruto games on the DS, this may be a waste of time and money.

Darksiders III offers a good story that fans will surely appreciate. But it feels like the game is coming from the last generation of consoles, both in terms of technology and design.

A fine DLC, very linear, with a false rythmn, but with a good story.

Despite an inevitably cramped interface, RPG Maker Fes is still a solid, yet demanding game creation software, all the more so without a proper - if not fun - tutorial. But neither portability nor simple online sharing system can make up for such restrictions concerning tools and content. These tend to limit, or even format the end results. Considering the time they require and the DLC policy, it would be wiser to invest in the massively more elaborate PC version.

Killer is Dead is a pure Suda51 game, crazy in its story, background, sequences and graphics. But despite some flashes of genius, it is actually quite classic and not so surprising.

Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemist and the Myterious Paintings looks like an efficient and long RPG with some good mechanics but will clearly fail to impress or surprise you (except if we talk about its expensive DLC), as its lacks novelty. If you're a true fan, you'll get what you want. If you're not familiar with the series, you could give it a try with this Switch version.

Track Lab is a nice music creator game, but you can't create full songs, you can only mix. The creation of samples is interesting and the VR saves the game from being pointless. Without it, the game would lost all of its interest.

Wolfenstein Youngblood is a pretty good FPS, with solid gameplay, nice level design and interesting cooperative mechanics.

This collection offers 3 nice games, but the remaster is visually and technically lazy.

Visually adorable, Slaps and Beans can be effective on fans of Spencer and Hill. But the magic doesn't last long, as it is a redundant and not so well crafted beat them all. It would have been acceptable in the 90s'.

If the atmosphere of Moons of Madness is rather well posed successful through its story and its compartmentalized environments, borrows paranoia any Lovecraftian in Martian confinement, difficult not to go around in circles quickly, the fault of a relative monotony in the course disappointing or agreed history and puzzles.

Force Unleashed II isn't a bad game, far from it actually. But its very short adventure, lack of polish, and imprecise gameplay prevent it from being anything more than a cheap steam-venting endeavor. Despite some nice ideas (usually borrowed from the killer apps of the genre, but poorly implemented). From a fan service standpoint, though, it clearly works with customizable light sabers, a ton of alternative badass-looking costumes for Starkiller, and additional challenges to have players compete over the internet.

This remaster of a classic game does not pay tribute to the original game. The game is very archaic visually and it has a hard time convincing.

Yes, Alpha Protocol is quite ugly and poorly animated. It also suffers from some gameplay mechanics oddities. But even with its repulsive looks, it managed to hook me in through several play-throughs, thanks to a decent story, carefully written dialog with finesse and humor, and this strong sense of actually influencing the destiny of my character as well as those of the ones around him. The espionage atmosphere, with its conspiracies and modern touch, is well rendered, and if you're a customer for an RPG with a contemporary setting, with a Mass Effect inspired game design, you may very well enjoy it as much as I did. One can't help but dream at what Alpha Protocol could have been, helmed by a team with more resources to address its shortcomings.

Penny-Punching Princess is a much-too-redundant beat'em all to be worth the full price asked. Despite its good idea (on paper) to add a calculator which allows you too buy basically everything on screen, NIS game fells short on new stuff too encourage the player to defeat the same basic monsters into uninspired labyrinths.

In the end, Neurodeck is not a bad game. Those who would occasionally start a new session might enjoy their time, as it relies on a refreshing concept and fine visuals. In the long run though, the gameplay mechanics really lack of depth and the difficult topics of the game, such as toxic masculinity or post-partum depression, reveal to be approached in a too vague way.

No, War of the North is not the blockbuster expected by the most enthusiastic of the fans. If it wasn't supported by such a strong license, it would even stay under the radar. But here we are : the fact that it remains so true to Tolkien's world and references it so well, with some true epic moments (the combat against a giant, the journey mounted on an eagle, the encounter with a dragon...) just saves it. Despite the numerous bugs and an energic but average combat system, it works : one always wants to make progress, and discover more. Lastly, the split-screen play has but one merit, to exist, since it's so chaotic to play. On the other hand, the online co-op is a real plus.

This first DLC certainly brings new content, but this is where the disappointment lies. We have one more raid, but it's still about revisiting the same content again and again.

NBA Playgrounds is a fun addition to the arcade basketball genre, especially on the Nintendo Switch. The game isn't without some flaws though. The AI is unfair and the shooting mechanics are very tough to master. Releasing the game without its online mode is also a strange choice. That being said, the game offers more than enough to allow fans of NBA Jam and NBA Street to have a good time. Let's just hope that Saber will soon fix the game's issues.

ReCore has a good artistic direction and nice gameplay... during the first 3 hours. After that, the story loses you, the action is repetitive, the game become suddenly difficult as hell, and you can't stand those loooooong loading times any longer.

The Suicide of Rachel Foster is primarily focusing on its chilling atmosphere and a subtle writing between two characters rather than spread jump scares everywhere as we're used to with most of horror games. Gameplay-wise, the game might seem a bit classic though and the protagonist is too sluggish.

Despite some ideas and a will to deliver a comprehensive game (the virtual coach, cards, touch screen based games), FIFA 11 DS remains a poor attempt at providing a respectable soccer game compared to its HD counterparts. It's ugly, there's no AI, and in the end, kids without high expectations might enjoy it, but it's probably my duty to inform you that your little brother will be better off playing a good ol' Nintendo World Cup on your dusty Game Boy.

Played solo or in multiplayer, Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow is a fair little RPG, rich, nicely paced and quite varied. But it doesn't really own these qualities : they are like a patchwork of ideas from other titles like Dragon Quest IX, Monster Hunter, FF XII or Tales of Vesperia, and even though the formula holds its ground in the end, the "already played" vibe is a serious flaw to its identity, that even Toriyama's designs can't seem to make us forget. Still a decent RPG, but not one that will surprise any regular of the genre.
