Stylish music and lights, but this pretty nutshell seems empty.

Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr Wu is a DLC full of good ideas. Playing with genetic is really fun and allows to create such unnatural dinosaurs behaviors, which is a nice nod to the two Jurassic World movies. However, this DLC lacks some more content to be a must have.

One Piece : World Seeker isn't a great open world. Some gameplay mechanics are too obsolete. The story written by Oda is good but surrounded by a disappointing gameplay. The world is too empty to deeply involve the player.

Delivering its own story, within the original world of the movie, Rango mixes platforming, racing, and action. Rather nice looking and easy to play, the EA game clearly lacks substance, and provides less than 4 hours of gameplay. Hours during which one will easily get bored. It's a game that will probably be best suited for the really young, or really casual.

Despite its affinity to the original comic books, Blacksad: Under the Skin is way too weak on a technical point of view to keep the adventure interesting until the end. Meanwhile a serious update to correct all the visible flaws, only the true hardcore fans should jump in.

We were used to have to buy a boxed release for these kind of FIFA add-ons, but this time, it's a digital download for a smaller price, and that's truly its biggest achievement. Even though there's an additional game mode on top of the official licences of the teams and stadiums, it still is nothing but a re-skin of FIFA 12 ; so be advised, that's for true soccer fans only.

Orwell's Animal Farm is a pleasant mix of Visual Novel and management experience, with some lovely visuals, music and a very good narrator. The fact that it allows you to retell the story is interesting. But as it still offers a good way to know what the book has to say, it can feel redundant, and a bit foggy in its intentions and mechanics.

Wii Party U features a generous amount of simple and varied minigames, just - if not exactly - like its predecessor. The GamePad introduces some clever ideas through the tabletop and asymmetrical house games, but those possibilities are not implemented as well into the board games, where the Wiimote remain the main tool to interact with the TV. Therefore, this Wii U version is more an addition than a real evolution.

Risen 2's difficulty was too high, and it's now too easy in Risen 3. Balance is at fault, despite a collection of interesting gameplay (nothing new, though). Without any kind of challenge, the player sips quietly on the content of this ambient RPG. Exploration is the primary activity. With nice sceneries and interesting people to meet. Maybe a better storyline would have helped going through the boredom of combat.

Dr. Luigi's methods are closely based on Dr. Mario's proven experiences, but he dares to develop his own therapy through signature pills. This innovative approach speeds up the virus eradication, even though it has secondary effects, as the versus battles show. It's just a shame that only two players can benefit this treatment, since the fun provided is really contagious.

Sonic Adventure 2 didn't really get an unanimously enthusiastic reception when it came out in 2001, and this "HD" remastering won't either. Even though the fans will be able to enjoy this game in full widescreen / 720P resolution, nothing else has been upgraded, and it's not even the best version to date (the GameCube one) that's been used for this. Worst of all, SEGA asks for an extra DLC purchase to upgrade it to the Battle version.

198X is a true love letter to the old arcade genre : through a retro trip of five different mini games, Hi-Bit's celebration only manages to copy and paste tiny bits of classic ones. Thanks to a cliché narration, 198X does nothing but tell how good the past used to be, and how much the present suck. If you still possess the original, there is not much need to play this wanabee experience.

Like modern gastronomy, Arzest uses state of the art techniques with noble ingredients to create dishes that are both beautiful and delicious. It's a pity the studio didn't elaborate more audacious recipes, which would taste less familiar. This rather easily cooked Yoshi's New Island will please a wide and young audience though, while keeping enough spice for the hard boiled eggs lovers.

Valkyrie Elysium is an action-oriented spin-off of the famous J-RPG saga, sadly nothing gives full satisfaction. The exploration is very linear despite the gigantic levels. The RPG aspect is reduced to a minimum.

Not too good, not too bad, Powerstar Golf is a classic arcade golf game for casual players. It's fun to play but not really precise in terms of gameplay and not deep enough to satisfy hard core golf players.

Just Cause 4 is more or less of the same. It's still good to play Rico and use its usual stuff, but it lacks strong new features, and with its redundant secondary quests system, its dated visuals and all the bugs, it just feels like a average game.

Tekken Hybrid should have been a nice display of the series qualities, and its latest iteration Tekken Tag Tournament 2. But this last title's demo is really poor both in content and tech quality, the HD remastering of the original TTT a lazy one, and the Tekken Blood Vengeance movie, though visually stunning, remains completely crazy story-wise. Is this compilation of content worth its price ? We hardly think so.

Blood Stone has been a weird experience for me. Its playability is dynamic but wonky, its production values are really inconsistent, its linearity fades a little when playing in difficult mode, its solo durability isn't so great but its multiplayer remains nice (though not great), and the non-stop action would be charming if there wasn't that repetitiveness. Pros and cons, to sum it up. Blood Stone will not be a future reference, that's for sure, but Bond fans may still enjoy it.

Sadly, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is too faithful to the original game, which didn't aged as well as a Wonder Boy Dragon's Trap, to mention another SEGA game remade. Sure, Jankenteam made a beautiful job and it's a pleasure to watch and listen. But it's also a quite irritating 2D platformer as it doesn't play very well and lacks precise controls and hitboxes.

Battle Princess Madelyn tries to deliver a new twist to the old Ghosts'n Goblins formula. Unfortunately, its broken level design forbids Causal Games homage to reach the same heights as Arthur's adventure. With no clues on what to do or where to go, even players looking for a tough challenge will only consider the arcade mode worthy of interest, if they want to enjoy the game's gorgeous graphics and art direction.

There's no way one can't see Capcom's expedience in this game. Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is a game mode, sold full price. The experience was tailored to appeal to scoring aesthetes, with a decent challenge for those who want to unlock everything, but the game remains rough and arid for most. With the noticeable exception of the production values and a working multiplayer, the game is a poor one: no story, repetitiveness beyond reason, a level-design based on scavenging previous games, and in very limited numbers... please no more. Resident Evil, as a saga, didn't need such an effort.
