It's kind of hard to advise playing those games today, even though their HD remastering is well-executed. But for gamers who do not mind the visual gap with today's productions, nor the slightly more rigid gameplay of the older games, it's a very nice way to discover the origins of the legendary beat'em all saga.- Gameblog.fr

Cris Tales is the first game from the Colombians studio Dreams Uncorporated, and it's rather impressive, with a deliciously retro feeling, a charming design mixing pastels, 2D and 3D, very pleasant for the eyes despite some optimization concerns, even on PS5, where DualSense is not very well supported. What makes Cris Tales original is not its classic scenario, but the powers of its protagonist, who can see both the past and the future at the same time. In game, it means a screen cut in three, and we can have fun moving the camera to observe the destiny and life of an NPC by running from left to right. In combat, it's quite exhilarating, since it will be necessary to mix temporal and elemental mechanics to overcome his enemies. Clearly, Cris Tales is a very humble and charming little game, and if this is your kind of game, you should look into its case.- Gameblog.fr

More of an extension to Storm 2 than a true new episode, Generations combines characters from both eras of the anime, the original and the Shippuden one, while retaining most of what Ninja Storm was in terms of gameplay. This last, quite comprehensive episode may still be one of the best adaptations of the anime, it also shows that CyberConnect2 needs to find new wind to save its momentum.- Gameblog.fr

The game is full of good ideas but the action/combat part is painful, because of an too powerful AI. In short, the game is no bad but the "action part" is not as good as it should be to feel like a real pleasure. It's a shame for a game with brilliant ideas.- Gameblog.fr

Alma used to give you nightmares with the previous episodes? That won't be the case here. Action is predominant, and serves well for nice gunfights, let's make that clear. But with production values that are below our usual tastes, levels that are too linear and an atmosphere that is more bloody than frightening, there's disappointment to be had. F.3.A.R is but another FPS that has trouble differentiating itself from the crowd.- Gameblog.fr

The Secret World has some really different things to offer than your usual MMO. This makes for a dividing design; some will love it, some will hate it, and the usual MMO player may very well fall into the latter category. PvP's a joke, but the writing is brilliant, the investigation quests are solo but rewarding, and the combat good enough. Too bad there are still so many bugs, and a pricey subscription to play it.- Gameblog.fr

House of Ashes has its flaws, especially on a technical level, but it is clear that things happened since Man of Medan. More intriguing, richer and better staged than its predecessors, the third installment of the Dark Pictures Anthology easily manages to rise to the top. And we can say Supermassive Games is on the right track. We are already looking forward to discovering how they will manage to surprise us on the next episode.- Gameblog.fr

Once again, Grezzo delivers a strong port for the 3DS, even though players of the original game should not expect so many new features. With only a small co-op mode and some items from Luigi's Mansion 2, the game really aims for those who might have missed it back in 2002.- Gameblog.fr

If Pang : Magical Michael doesn't renew enough the appeal of the original franchise for the gamers who already know it, it doesn't come out diminished of this redesign either. A proof that its formula can endure the test of time. Perfect for short sessions in between subway stations : it fits the bill !- Gameblog.fr

These two additional years of development will have made an excellent motorcycle game. TT Isle of Man 2 is more successful on all fronts. It is above all the new content and the additional features of a real Tourist Trophy season that gives it a more ecumenical aspect. You no longer need to be an insider and a fierce competitor to the Isle of Man event. You can now discover this event gently and progress step by step with a real evolution curve. The fact remains that its demanding handling puts you to the test, so that you can enjoy all the pleasure of both finishing a race, but also being in good standing.- Gameblog.fr

The PS4 version of Attack on Titan is true to the original anime. The three dimensional maneuver gear feels amazing and it is a real blast to fly around the maps and slay titans with our swords. Sadly, the game is quite repetitive and lacks real challenges in order to be a must-have for the platform.- Gameblog.fr

While it is not perfect (scenes can be a little hard to read sometimes), Anarcute is a cute game based on a concept that is both fun and fresh. And even though it takes place in a cartoonish world, it manages to transport the player in the cities where the missions take place. If you don't know what to play during one of those long summer days, you could do a lot worse than giving Anarcute a shot.- Gameblog.fr

Here's how to sum up Mafia II : 12 hours of repetitive, linear missions, with but a few gameplay mechanics. Shoot, drive, punch, a tiny little bit of stealth, that's it. There's nothing more to be done than to follow the unfolding of the plot, which is clearly sub-par, especially when considering how easy it is to watch a rerun of The Godfather or a season of the Sopranos instead. Replay value is nil, there's no multiplayer. You can't even roam freely in the city after the ending (what for anyway, one may ask). Combat is way to easy, cars don't provide much thrill. In the end, Mafia II is a very pretty box, but an empty one. 80% of what has been developed doesn't serve any real purpose. The rest isn't enough to make a great game. If you're a die hard fan of the 50's atmosphere (nicely rendered), and the Mafia genre, you might still enjoy it. Otherwise...- Gameblog.fr

WRC 10 is not a bad installment in the series, with its fair share of welcome novelties. The 50th anniversary mode finally allows you to take advantage of the discipline's old glories, and while we would have liked it to have been more fleshed out, it still makes an act of presence. The stable manager mode is also welcome, although it is still not understood why you have to end the previously mentioned mode in order to be able to access it. Undoubtedly the most striking feature is of course the arrival of the choice of tire allocation for the rally, which adds a good layer of strategy in certain events including the Monte-Carlo. Unfortunately, we feel that COVID has had its work, whether it is the proposed rallies that are no longer really in line with the 2021 calendar, more technical aspects of the game that have not changed a bit. Do not forget either that the license will change creamery in 2023, from KT Racing / Nacon to Codemasters / EA. This WRC 10 is therefore the penultimate opus of the French studio which will still have had the merit of bringing the series out of the mediocrity in which it stagnated, during the time when Milestone was in charge (the Metacritic ratings are from 80% on average during the Evolution Studios era to 60% during the Milestone era)- Gameblog.fr

Batman: The Telltale Series Episode 3 is the least interesting episode of the bunch so far. The player sometimes gets the impression that his choices don't mean anything and that game suffers from crashes and huge framerate drops. Luckily, the story picks up at the end and it looks like Episode 4 could be one for the ages.- Gameblog.fr

With its touching story about this aspiring little writer girl struggling to process her feelings, Lost Words reveals to be a mostly narrative-driven experience. The concept of magical words is quite interesting but in the end, there isn't one obstacle in the player's path able to bring some tension in the game. Yet, the adventure of Izzy and its paper alter ego might well soften the most hardened hearts.- Gameblog.fr

Syndicate offers a multi-tasking challenge that will appeal to shooting games aficionados, with brutal and overwhelming ennemies to dispatch both with skills and brains, but its poor story and average level-design have a tendency to nullify its better qualities. It's pretty, dynamic and even nicely polished in some regards, but fails to fully capture interest and immerse the player in its cyberpunk world.- Gameblog.fr

Visually stunning, The Ascent offers a incredibly rich universe visually speaking. Which is the main reason you want to play it. And keep on playing it, as it is kind of a satisfying but basic top down shooter experience. You won't remember its story nor its characters, but will surely think about its world and some gunfights. Let's hope Neon Digital will be able to take us back in it with some tweaks.- Gameblog.fr

Rock of Ages combines strategy and dexterity in an original and wacky game. The solo campaign is a little quick and easy to overcome and the multiplayer clearly lacks some options as well as players. But despite this, you'll get value for its price, so just buy it: the more do it, the less this last shortcoming will fade.- Gameblog.fr

Sonic Colours represents some of the blue hedgehog's finest 3D hours. As it was only released on the Wii, it deserved to be remastered for more powerful hardware. And now that it has, it's a pleasure to run through Eggman's theme park at 60 fps. Sonic Team was clearly inspired when it came up with Sonic Colours' level design and Wisp power ups. Everything still works in 2021. Sonic Colours Ultimate is the game that can be shown to those who say that Sonic and 3D don't mix.- Gameblog.fr
