Some games age not well. Others can come back as often as they want, they will have no trouble charming their audience. The three Game Boy Advance Castlevania are still, 20 years later at a very good overall level. Playing them on larger screens, with a few welcome adjustments, can't be refused, whether you have a little nostalgia, the desire to perfect your culture or a good appetite for the Metroidvania subgenre. If we still hope for other intentions from Konami, this kind of compilation, with an Aria of Sorrow which remains one of the best parts of the saga, has no reason to be sulked.

Superhot VR is visually cool and perfectly adapted for VR gameplay. The best VR game today.

Some notable adjustments make PES 2018 a lovely football game that feels comfortable to play and realistic from the very first match. New animations, better physics and responsiveness are, along with the fact that it is quite challenging, what makes it a fun simulation that has to be considered for this season.

Ghost of Tsushima is definitely the last great game PS4 deserved. It's a fantastic open world game, visually stunning, incredibly fun to play, whether you choose to progress as a noble warrior or a stealthy ninja, a very immersive representation of feudal Japan and a truly admirable love letter to the samurai movie genre. If you own a PS4, you MUST play Ghost of Tsushima.

As a competitive and quite frantic game, Tetris 99 is the exact opposite of Tetris Effect. And it's a very good game too. It's not the kind of experience you play to feel more peaceful. When you engage in the only available mode, you want to be the last survivor. And if you're not, you go for another shot. And another. It can last forever because Tetris 99 is just so addictive.

After a 25 years retreat, Pit takes off again to defeat Medusa once more. More than a rail shooter, Kid Icarus Uprising is a true old school gem and one of the most ambitious 3DS titles to date. It's still tiresome to play for your wrist sometimes, and the plastic stand still requires you to find the better position, but the experience is worthwhile.

If you're into post-Symphony of the Night Castlevania, you will find with Bloodstained : Ritual of the Night what you wanted. It doesn' have the name or the same setting, but the feeling and the atmosphere are the same, with some very generous content and a lot of nods to the Konami series. It could have been a lot more polished visually speaking, felt more of like a game of this era, but how can we be frustrated to get what Koji Igarashi and his team were expected to do?

Anno 2070 was expected to take itself very seriously, but the way it deals with the eco theme is caricatural. Too bad. However, the anticipation background remains refreshing for the series, and the gameplay keeps everything the fans liked. Blue Byte doesn't change the formula, but adds a couple layers of richness to the content (three factions, scientific research, community bonus). Only the combats would gain by being completely re-thought.

The Yakuza Remastered Collection is a must have for Yakuza fans old and new alike. Riveting stories, endearing characters, fun gameplay and tons of content can be found in all three games. And thanks to the power of the PS4, Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 have never looked so good.

Wolves is a solid conclusion to an amazing road trip. The story of Sean and Daniel was something very special and this episode doesn't let us down as it is, again, full of beautiful and revolting moment, with some great writing, acting, direction and musics. And choices that will surely have an impact. On you.

Astro's Playroom is a truly adorable and joyful platformer. Even if a bit short and not very difficult, it shows the potential of the DualSense as we go through some lovely levels with some funny ideas and a lot to remember about the whole PlayStation brand. Definitely worth your time.

Lara Croft GO is quite a good way to live another expedition with the iconic heroin on smartphones and tablets. This clever (but a bit easy) puzzle game shows great graphics, amazing atmosphere and reminds us of the PS1 era of the ponytailed adventurer.

Undeniably, Darksiders II is a gem shaped by passionate gamers for gamers. It's beautiful, it's epic, it's super-rich and varied, and even though the ending falls short compared to the journey itself, it would be a crime not to pay tribute to the impressive amount of work and effort Vigil put into this game.

Don't be fooled by the seemingly gentler looks of Shin Megami Tensei IV, it's more devilish than ever. Just like a succubus, this devious RPG will suck your whole life and lead you to the depths of hell, where you relentlessly die seducing more powerful demons, while wondering what is good or bad. And such ambiguity carried through the subtle narrative only strengthens the mature tone of this naughty experience, in every sense of the word.

With its ludicrous storyline and its super-cool characters, Ghost Trick blows a fresh wind on DS adventure games. Its designers undoubtedly loved making it. Capcom didn't lie on the goods. After a brilliant success like Phoenix Wright, its designers have done it again. Congrats.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled offers you tons of content, a high quality visual redesign, new features (characters, circuits, customization, skins, etc.). It is a dive into the past that is absolutely not deceptive. This remake is remarkable.

A true tribute to the fans of the saga, this episode traces the end of Sora's journey through the exploration of new worlds, more beautiful and vast than in the past, with a strong respect for the Disney worlds from which it is inspired. In short, Kingdom Hearts III is an imperfect work but overflowing with heart.

Draw Something may lack some added gameplay richness, and options to be the perfect online Pictionary, but it's cheap and good enough for millions of people to enjoy and have fun with. Probably one of the simplest, yet enjoyable social game experiences on smart phones and tablets.

N.O.V.A. 3 is evidently one of the prettier games on the platform. It's also a nice shell, masking the usual copy/paste habits of Gameloft, but this clear lack of real inspiration aside, it remains a fully playable, real pretty action title.

CoD Black Ops 4 is a good game, where Treyarch succeeds in offering a AAA Battle Royale experience packed with goods ideas. The Zombie mode is bigger and exhilarating, but unfortunately the classic multiplayer mode doesn't offer anything really new. All that is not enough to make us all forget the solo campaign, which totally disappeared in this episode.

This new Angry Birds Space is as addictive as ever, all the while revising its core gameplay mechanics thanks to the Space Theme. Gravity and other tricks renew the formula beyond expectations, and the very low price of the game is all the more convincing, given that it's brilliantly designed.

Capcom mixes and matches all the fighting games ingredients, without achieving the finesse and subtlety of a Street Fighter IV. IN the end, Street Fighter X Tekken is an excellent compromise between the most demanding fighting games targeting pro-fighters, and the most pure fun oriented ones, targeting beginners. If you will, it's for fighting games, in some way, what World of Warcraft was for MMOs.

Again, Eidos Montreal succeeds in delivering a great Deus Ex experience. Mankind Divided is not a revolution in the franchise, and it really feels like a Human Revolution upgrade, but it manages to offer another great mix of RPG, FPS and stealth with some huge environments and a lot of things to discover and try before reaching its end. And with the Breach Mode for leaderboards addicts, the whole package is definitely worth a try, even if some elements like A.I. may have been more polished.

Treyarch did well in introducing Call of Duty to new approaches. The solo, especially, is surprisingly replayable thanks to story variations based on both player chance and performance. The multiplayer seems to have found the definitive system for custom classes with Pick-10, and the new Zombies mode called Tranzit offers new surprises and and open-world feeling that surely make it better. The graphics engine really starts to look old though, and the solo suffers from big plot holes, less polished scripting, and less spectacular sequences.

It's hard not to give in and buy this HD remaster when you are a fan of the Resident Evil series. That's also the perfect occasion to discover a true masterpiece for everyone who hadn't played it yet. Some may say that except its graphical facelift, this new version lacks some real additions, and that's true, but Resident Evil is still a masterpiece and it's more enjoyable here than ever.

With its laborious gameplay, This War of Mine is not a game for everyone... but it's probably the most interesting game about War and the more engaged and efficient "serious game" so far.
