Orcs Must Die! 2 is better executed, better balanced and more polished than the original in almost every way. Add in the coop gameplay, all for a very affordable price, and you get yourself something to vent some steam on for the summer!

Recent remastered games seemed a bit lazy. 4A Games doesn't mess around with this excellent compilation of their two FPS that keep their own identity and look - especially Metro 2033 - quite great visually. Even with a few flaws that were already known, they are definitely worth playing.

Ocotpath Traveler is a strong entry to the old-school J-RPG genre, even though its classicism may forbid it from reach the greatest titles its taking inspiration from. As simple as solid, this retro adventure features enough mechanics to offer a deep fighting system, well-balanced and which brilliantly avoids countless leveling sessions. Too bad Octopath Traveler's narrative simply serves us eight not-so-connected stories, otherwise it could have been an instant classic.

Back to basics with new types of blocks to boot, there couldn't have been a better way to say farewell for BoxBoy.

This is a well remastered compilation of three solid titles. They transitioned pretty well to the HD (and 3D) format, thanks to an artistic direction that didn't try to do too much at the time, with cartoony textures and models. The games themselves have the qualities and shortcomings of the originals. Nonetheless, the relevance of those games compared to the PS3 episodes may be questioned if you're not a die hard fan of the series.

The Swapper blew me away. Proof that the indie game can really make incredible games. A unique experience to try absolutely, even if there is no big replay value.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy collection reminds us that the series did not shine at its brightest trying to move from action to story-based fiction. The six different games are still okay, but their original mechanics could have been tweaked a little to match the new video game standards.

It may not look like much, but Drop Duchy is a real nugget. With its atypical recipe of unrelated elements, the game succeeds in offering a coherent and even extremely addictive experience. The icing on the cake, despite the depth of its gameplay, which only increases with each game played, is that it is ultra accessible. All in all, you'll quickly find yourself hooked on this very well-crafted gameplay loop that keeps you wanting to play perfect games and rack up high scores. And if scoring isn't your thing, there are a myriad of challenges to complete before you get bored. On the other hand, the lack of content, especially in terms of environments and bosses, will quickly be felt by the most relentless players.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a profoundly generous action-adventure game. Filled with content, gifts for fans of the series, but for video game lovers as well. It's full of nods to other games and movies, rich with a large variety of gameplays and lush environments... blessed with an overall Castlevania feel, which is a consistent mark of respect for its forebears. Kudos to Mercury Steam. Despite some rare issues with some gameplay tunings, we can only hope for them to meet the success they deserve as we'd welcome a follow-up!

inFAMOUS 2, as with its predecessor, shines mainly thanks to its thrilling action in a beautifully rendered open environment. Visually stunning, this new chapter in Cole's story would have gained much with more variety for its optional tasks, but it still offers to action-cravers a game that's dense, rich, quite loaded with stuff to do and more importantly really fun to play.

Yakuza games have always been very generous when it comes to content. With five playable characters and as many cities to explore, Yakuza 5 pushes the concept even further. Too bad we had to wait for so long to get it.

Hardspace shows all is potential with time. A real puzzle game which is important to analyze the environment to find solutions. But Hardspace : Shipbreaker show his limit very quickly with no adventure or by the assets who are very redundant. But if you like to take time to resolve brain teaser then you will like the game.

Pretty, dense, nerve-challenging, immersive, innovative... Outland is easily one of the gems of April 2011. Combining with talent several influences (Limbo, Castlevania, Ikaruga), it goes back to the rules of 2D platformers, with an added twist. It's an enticing tribal journey, with a soul, at a small price.

Skylanders SWAP Force is clearly the best episode in the series. The new SWAP Force figures represent a good addition in terms of fun and gameplay, the graphics are much better than in GIANTS, and there's also a lot more variety inside every levels. The only problem is still the same though: everything is done to make you want to buy new figures again and again... and buying them will cost you a lot!

Even if it feels like you've already played it a few times during its the first hours, Life is Strange True Colors feels definitley fresh thanks to its writing and lovable characters - thanks to its voice actors. The power of its protagonist could have been used in better ways in terms of gameplay, but this trip to Haven Springs will definitely captivate players in need of emotions.

With its first game, the newborn Nomada Studio hits the sky. With its striking evocative force, GRIS not only pleases the eyes, thanks to Conrad Roset's beautiful art style, but speaks to all of our senses. Revealing its numerous tricks one by one, the game succeeds in delivering both splendid and complex visuals without ever getting frustrating. Adorned by a sumptuous soundtrack which tells the story as much as the background, GRIS is nothing but a true masterpiece.

Despite some online issues (mainly a lack of matchmaking's optimization and long waits between fights) and a too user-friendly X-Ray, this Mortal Kombat managed to deliver deep and rich gameplay. The whole experience is really worth a try. Especially the online features.

This journey back to the roots of Professor Layton is as much a way of discovering his past as it is one to draft a first sum-up of the series before it moves to the 3DS pastures for a new trilogy. Confident about its formula, Level-5 offers treasures of riddles throughout an adventure that focuses on characters rather than on the plot, as enticing as it may prove to be. So, even though the formula doesn't really evolve, it still concludes this run with subtle touches here and there to improve the lot.

Danganronpa 1 & 2 are two excellent games, but this PS4 port is a lazy one. You should prefer buying the two separate games on Vita if you have one. If you don't though, then consider buying this PS4 collection and discover a wonderful Visual Novel series(the 3rd episode is coming soon !).

Katana ZERO is magnificent action game with a fantastic atmosphere. Its story and characters are as sharp as its gameplay, that offers some true puzzling moments wondering how to kill efficiently, by using a very useful slow-motion mechanic. Unfortunately, at the time we're done with it, as it is a very compelling experience, we're still hungry. Let's hope for a sequel. Quick.

Now a eight-year-old game, Limbo is still one of the flagships of the indie productions. Its stunning visuals, the clever game design and the gloomy flavor it displays make it an instant classic, which can now be enjoyed for the first time on a Nintendo hardware, the all-in-one Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 gets bolder in every direction, with a colorful character design backed by a caricatural tone to mask the gravity of the purpose underneath, a denser world deployed vertically, that literally breathes life through atmospheric compositions and folklore. Some ideas deserved more development, but most concepts are organically integrated, the versatile talents of the Blades sharpening the whole gameplay. A way to cut deeper into this huge adventure enriched by the variety and random nature of such symbiotic support creations, while its slight impression of déjà vu only comes from the essential elements scavenged to forge the saga's most refined iteration. Nothing disappears, everything transforms indeed.
