Of course, Mixtape is a short, highly narrative game with gameplay that takes a bit of a back seat. That said, it’s a moving and captivating story that grabs you from the very first track. Beethoven & Dinosaur once again demonstrates its storytelling prowess and its ability to create characters that are as believable as they are endearing. They also unleash all their aesthetic creativity and perfectly capture what it’s like to always have the perfect song to accompany every moment. A real treat, in short, that fully delivers on its promise, ensuring it remains one of the highlights of 2026.- Gameblog.fr

As expected, SAROS stands out as a worthy spiritual successor to Returnal, and even more so. Far from resting on its laurels, Housemarque has successfully built upon the solid foundation of its previous title to deliver an epic adventure, enhanced by new features that make it accessible to a wider audience. While more accessible, SAROS remains a challenging yet exhilarating experience that delivers incredible thrills. This makes it a new must-have in the PS5 catalog, which once again boasts one of its best exclusives thanks to the Finnish studio.- Gameblog.fr

Tomodachi Life: A Dream Life is sure to be one of this spring’s must-have releases. By reviving this unique franchise on the Nintendo Switch, Big N reminds us just how powerful and unmatched the Mii characters’ comedic appeal is. Moreover, Nintendo offers us a true respite of lighthearted fun that, like Animal Crossing: New Horizons in its day, allows us to escape a particularly anxiety-inducing reality. While the game’s distinct identity means it won’t appeal to everyone, it will be the perfect choice for anyone looking to treat themselves to short, stress-free gaming sessions full of surprises.- Gameblog.fr

Besides its delightful art style, brilliantly blending inspirations from Cuphead, early Mickey Mouse cartoons, and 1930s film noir, Mouse PI For Hire is from a gameplay standpoint a classic boomer shooter, but very effective and enjoyable to play. Even if its "detective" aspect is largely inconsequential, we generally enjoyed following this frenetic adventure as Troy Baker... Jack Pepper, despite a somewhat tedious final section that leaves a slightly underripe aftertaste for an overall appetizing cheese. Perhaps the upcoming DLC will be the final clue to wrap up the investigation in style?- Gameblog.fr

After years of anticipation and numerous previews, we can finally confirm it: Pragmata is indeed the surprise we’ve been waiting for. With refreshing gameplay and a pair of highly endearing protagonists, Capcom’s new franchise plunges us into the heart of a fabulous world that we enjoy roaming from start to finish, despite a few minor flaws here and there. And while these flaws may prevent the game from having as significant impact as we originally hoped for, it remains a resounding success for the studio, which continues to deliver new, original games that are a breath of fresh air.- Gameblog.fr

A year after its release, Tiny Bookshop is still a breath of fresh air in the gaming world. The proposition is modest but satisfying in many ways. Neoludic proves that you don’t need big effects or ultra-complex mechanics to be effective. Even though several aspects of the gameplay could stand to be a tad more refined to captivate us even further, the game is truly what you might call a gem to be savored in small doses—one you’ll happily return to whenever you need a peaceful escape.- Gameblog.fr

As refreshing and innovative as ever, Super Mario Bros. Wonder makes a triumphant return on Nintendo Switch 2. The brilliant recipe from 2023 remains intact, enhanced by visual improvements and new bonus content. Players will delight in exploring Bellabel Park, its mini-games, and its hidden secrets. Even though this brand-new area can only be experienced in multiplayer mode, the single-player adventure remains just as flawless and now boasts additional characters to help out the Flower Kingdom. This new version is aimed primarily at those who have never played the original or at fans who love multiplayer experiences.- Gameblog.fr

In the same vein as recent PS5 exclusive ports, Nixxes delivers an excellent PC version of Death Stranding 2. Graphically and technically almost flawless, aside from a few minor glitches, enjoyable to play with both keyboard/mouse and controllers, especially the DualSense, and with some welcome additions via a free update, this is clearly the definitive version of Kojima Productions' latest BB. A port of this quality makes it all the more regrettable that Sony has apparently decided to stop adapting other single-player PS5 exclusives for PC in the future. This one, therefore, has a very unique flavour and, whether we like it or not, represents a beautiful swan song for this chapter of PlayStation history, which closes on the Beach.- Gameblog.fr

Despite its rather delicate first hours, its shortcomings, and the frustrations that the experience can bring, Crimson Desert is undeniably a unique adventure in the video game landscape. Rarely has a game so convincingly blended epic combat, exploration open to experimentation, and life simulation within such a massive yet coherent and addictive medieval fantasy open world. Pearl Abyss's title isn't for everyone and is likely to be divisive, but it will captivate the most dedicated players for hundreds of hours of pure enjoyment as they lose themselves in its breathtaking abundance. It however needs a little polish to truly shine and take its rightful place among the greatest open-world sandbox games of all time.- Gameblog.fr

With this new port, Capcom reminds us just how pivotal Resident Evil 7 is in its now thirty-year-old saga. The claustrophobic setting of a dysfunctional family and the switch to a first-person perspective create an oppressive atmosphere that is just as compelling on Nintendo Switch 2. Furthermore, the hybrid hardware delivers impressive technical performance that perfectly preserves the original experience, with masterful pacing and meticulous level design. All in all, this is a nightmarish new version that we're delighted to dive back into.- Gameblog.fr

Monster Hunter Stories 3 breaks free from the constraints of a simple spin-off to finally create its own mythology. Fans will say they didn't need this third installment to appreciate the series, but the fact remains that this is the most successful, generous, and mature entry of them all. A true entry point for both fans and newcomers, it's interesting in many ways, from its skillful and polished gameplay to its blend of exploration and monster collecting. Even its deeply ecological message becomes a reason to offer incredibly addictive gameplay mechanics. It's hard not to enjoy it, even if you wince at certain difficulty spikes, a technical aspect that doesn't always do justice to the art direction, and some entirely unnecessary side quests. Nevertheless, Monster Hunter Stories 3 remains utterly monstrous.- Gameblog.fr

Like a fine wine, Stardew Valley improves with age. Even after 10 years, the title remains an essential reference in cozy farm games. Beneath its unpretentious retro indie game exterior, it actually hides an incredible amount of generosity. Supported by a community that is more active than ever today, its creator, Eric Barone, keeps expanding the range of possibilities with free extra content in each update. But above all, it works because the world it offers is as solid as it is immersive. The residents of Pelican Town are all characters worth getting to know, while the sense of freedom given to the player is reinforced by constant discoveries. Whether it's your first or tenth adventure, it's always worth returning to the valley for another visit.- Gameblog.fr

Resident Evil 9 Requiem is certainly one of the best games in the franchise, and for a very simple reason : it is the ultimate mutation of a formula that has evolved over many years of research, experimentation, successes, and failures. It is the synthesis of an entire series, from its main titles to its many offshoots spread across nearly 30 years of existence. Two experiences in one that come together to form a whole that will keep us on the edge of our seats from start to finish, despite some pacing issues and a few missteps along the way, though these are quickly offset by well-executed fan service and brilliant execution.- Gameblog.fr

As a current-gen upgrade rather than a remaster/remake, this PS5/Xbox Series version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance does its job well. It effectively utilizes the capabilities of the latest consoles to display the 2018 title smoothly in up to 4K resolution, complete with high-definition textures, even if these don't entirely mask the fact that it's an eight-year-old game. Thanks to its impeccable performance, this is clearly the best console iteration of Warhorse Studios' first title, despite the controls being generally less intuitive with a gamepad than with the PC keyboard/mouse combo.- Gameblog.fr

REANIMAL follows directly in the footsteps of the studio's previous titles. Far from trying to reinvent the wheel, Tarsier simply does what it does best: immersing us in a dark and unsettling experience, driven by an uncompromising minimalism. Nioh 3 is the culmination of a decade spent exploring different approaches across several games in the same franchise, as well as attempts to create new ones. One might have thought that the transition to an open world would have caused it to lose its identity, but this is not the case. Team Ninja delivers a solid and very demanding action game here, and sometimes even somewhat punishing. Our salvation lies in the gameplay, which is unparalleled in its richness and depth. Two play styles, a vast array of weapons, and a hundred skills allow us to create a personalized gameplay experience that suits our individual preferences. Ultimately, everything culminates in a frenetic dance of blades with what is arguably the most dynamic combat system ever seen in a souls-like game. The legacy of Ninja Gaiden and FromSoftware games is ever-present, but so is the classic open-world formula. Fortunately, the execution is impeccable and engaging enough to completely immerse us in its world. We'll only be pulled out of this immersion by getting lost in the overwhelming amount of loot and an avalanche of statistics that will only appeal to theorycrafting enthusiasts.- Gameblog.fr

On paper, The Game Bakers' latest game might be simplistically labeled a “climbing simulator,” but in practice, it is far more than that. Beyond offering a challenge to both Aava and the player, CAIRN delivers an epic adventure rarely seen in video games. It is a work capable of inspiring wonder, frustration, anger, and moments of calm. Yet, what lingers most is the extraordinary sense of elation when we finally overcome our repeated failures. CAIRN is yet another reminder of the talent flourishing in French studios, and of the pride we can justifiably take in them.- Gameblog.fr

If Eternal Strands somehow slipped under your radar amidst a truly insane previous year for video games, it deserves your full attention if you love magic, have a creative mind, and enjoy the epic feel of facing titanic monsters that Monster Hunter or Shadow of the Colossus wouldn't disown. This first game from a new studio composed of BioWare and Ubisoft veterans certainly offers a very solid foundation for a franchise as original as it is convincing. As it stands, however, one might regret a slight lack of risk-taking, which translates into an arsenal of weapons and spells, as well as a bestiary that, unfortunately, becomes repetitive rather quickly. We therefore hope that this successful first attempt has achieved well-deserved success, so that its creators can push the boundaries even further in a potential sequel.- Gameblog.fr

MIO Memories in Orbit is undoubtedly a wonderful surprise and an invitation to feast your eyes and ears. It's a game of rare artistic intensity that exudes genuine poetry throughout. You'll enjoy losing yourself in it for dozens of hours and exploring the sometimes sprawling depths of its inspired environments. Beneath its more than charming visuals lies a highly effective Metroidvania that borrows good ideas from various sources and applies them flawlessly with great precision. The execution is excellent, but the gameplay lacks personality, which truly contrasts with everything else. While you'll discover a profoundly unique world, you'll also have the feeling of having played it before. But it's hard to fault it for that, especially if you're a fan of the genre, as the journey is well worth experiencing.- Gameblog.fr

Between its update and its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Animal Crossing New Horizons has been significantly polished up. Nintendo has finally taken fan feedback into account to greatly improve the gaming experience. For those who have played the game before 2026, all the quality-of-life improvements will be a real relief. Additionally, the new modes further enrich the range of activities already available at launch. This has significantly extended the game's length, making it worth restarting or even starting a new game today. A true timeless classic. Graphically, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of FF7 Remake sits closer to the PS5 than the PS4 Pro, despite having a lower resolution on paper, and it commands respect. With a few minor concessions, the game runs smoothly in almost every situation and never compromises in portable mode. Everything feels carefully crafted to let players enjoy Midgar both on the go and on the big screen. Too bad it's locked at 30 fps. Whether Square Enix can maintain this level of performance with FF7 Rebirth and its more demanding open world remains to be seen. For now, though, the Switch 2 version stands out as one of the most enjoyable and versatile ways to (re)experience the legend of this iconic JRPG.- Gameblog.fr

Thanks to Dispatch, AdHoc and the Telltale veterans who comprise it brought back the episodic narrative game format that made this legendary studio famous with flying colors. The story of Robert and the Z-Team is a constant delight, driven by incredibly endearing characters, phenomenal voice acting, and stunning art direction, all within a fast-paced narrative entirely dictated by our choices. The game also shines with its incredibly addictive and intuitive management mechanics, which perfectly put us in the shoes of a team leader of rookies who will eventually become true superheroes, though this aspect loses some of its appeal once the initial surprise of the first playthrough wears off. This clever mix is, in any case, the indie gem we anticipated, and we now cannot wait to see the Z-Team for a potential second season ! Arc Raiders is undoubtedly a must-have in the genre. Extremely enjoyable and addictive, the game grabs you by the gut and allows any player to find themselves in it. Its only drawback? The frustration, inherent to the genre, if you get eliminated before you have time to escape. Beyond that and a few menus that are a bit difficult to navigate, Arc Raiders is an experience that would be a real shame to miss. The immersion is incredible, driven by a stunning sound design and a surprising AI that serves not only the gameplay but also the narrative. With Anno 117: Pax Romana, Ubisoft Mainz proves it is possible to evolve a beloved formula without losing its identity. The move to Antiquity is more than a new setting. It reshapes building, trade, resource hierarchy, cultural balance and even city planning thanks to diagonal roads and more uneven terrain. It is not as disruptive as Anno 1800 was at the time, but it improves several essential systems. Flexible needs make each run smoother. The Roman and Celtic coexistence gives regions a stronger personality. The huge research tree adds long-term strategic depth. The visual direction is stunning and brings a rare elegance to the whole experience. Some parts still need work, such as land battles or certain UI details, but these limits never overshadow the core experience. Anno 117 remains a rich and captivating city-builder. It is more than a simple return to the past. It stands as a solid and promising new chapter for one of the strongest management series of the last decades.- Gameblog.fr

With Jurassic World Evolution 3, Frontier Developments delivers the most complete and polished entry in the series so far. The studio didn’t reinvent the formula but refined it in almost every way. Natural breeding, modular building, improved animations, and global park management finally bring the depth and cohesion the previous games lacked. It’s not perfect, micromanagement is still light, AI can be clumsy, and systems like finances or faction contracts could use more bite. But despite these flaws, the game remains a joy to play. Ninja Gaiden 4 definitely breathes new life into the iconic franchise, thanks in large part to a dream partnership with action game masters Platinum Games. The result is a game with truly frantic, exhilarating gameplay that's also very intuitive and offers just the right amount of challenge to appeal to both veterans and newcomers. However, the combat can at times be a little chaotic, the visuals are not groundbreaking, and the somewhat clumsy recycling of assets to justify Ryu Hayabusa's return is a bit of a letdown. Nevertheless, we can then reunite with the legendary hero in all his glory thanks to generous endgame content, after completing a relatively short but undeniably intense main story. Despite its age, FF Tactics remains timeless. This masterpiece has stood the test of time, and now returns in one of its best versions yet. Although it lacks the content from the PSP version, The War of the Lions, this remaster introduces enough new features to appeal to those who missed out on what is widely regarded as one of the best Final Fantasy games to date. Both the English and Japanese voice-overs add depth to one of the most memorable stories in video gaming. While it is regrettable that, after 30 years, we have to settle for a remaster with so little work done on the visuals, it is also this old-school feel that gives the game its charm. The Outer Worlds 2 ticks all the boxes of a successful sequel, building on the solid foundation of its predecessor to offer an even more ambitious and complete RPG. We are therefore treated with a true "role-playing game" in a video game format, which offers enormous freedom in the way we approach its universe of impressive coherence and fine writing, very beautiful to contemplate, and always with the caustic humor of the franchise. It also offers pleasant and modern gameplay that does not stand out against pure FPS / TPS. However, we will have to deal with a staging that seriously lacks spice, a very perfectible artificial intelligence, and the fact of limiting ourselves to the specialization of a part of the available skills. At the risk of finding ourselves greatly handicapped over the course of a main quest that is ultimately less exciting than the side missions that punctuate the adventure. One way like any other to make us want to start a new game, if finishing the adventure in one go with a very generous lifespan was not enough. An Obsidian game as we like them, in short.- Gameblog.fr

Hades 2 is a masterful sequel. Melinoe's adventure surpasses Zagreus's in absolutely every way: more robust and enjoyable gameplay; more diverse progression that offers an infinite number of ways to complete a run, each as satisfying as the next; titanic content literally doubled compared to the original title; divine artistic direction, Supergiant Games offers us yet another Boon worthy of the gods. The title has everything it needs to be included in the pantheon of the best rogue-lites of all time, or even to win the GOTY 2025 title. Such generosity, however, is to its detriment when it comes to the true ending of the game, which is unnecessarily long to unlock, and terribly disappointing given the time spent to reach it. However, this will only concern the most dedicated players, and ultimately does not detract so much from the immense qualities of a title that has everything of a true masterpiece.- Gameblog.fr

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is clearly a radically different experience from its illustrious predecessor. Despite the regrettable loss of the "role-playing" aspect and the emblematic freedom of the first episode in favor of a more typical "narrative action-RPG" format, its sequel still does a good job of immersing us with undeniable mastery in the unique atmosphere of the World of Darkness. This is notably thanks to a fascinating story carried by two characters offering a beautiful duality; with two gameplays that skillfully complement each other by alternating truly exhilarating action/infiltration phases and investigation phases with a well-placed touch of madness. The title of The Chinese Room, however, suffers from a totally anecdotal open world, and a technical aspect that is certainly not unpleasant to look at, but which needs a little refinement to properly display its enticing vampire fangs.- Gameblog.fr

Battlefield 6 marks the franchise's grand return to the podium of the best FPS games of its generation. The change of direction for the license and this long-awaited return to its roots does it a world of good, and we're loving it. The campaign may not be very long and the AI is completely useless, but the simple fact of rediscovering a hint of the Bad Company 2 feeling is enough to make it enjoyable. This is a bonus that complements the main attraction, which is the multiplayer mode. The content is generous and we even get a new game mode, which turns out to be a very pleasant surprise. With around forty weapons, dozens of gadgets and accessories, and lots of cosmetics to unlock, it's hard to complain, especially when you know that more free content is on the way. Still, the number of maps is a bit stingy, especially since they're not all memorable, but that's pretty much all we can fault it for. The gameplay feels great and largely takes center stage, which is what matters most in the end. The multiplayer is unlike any other, it's classic Battlefield, intense and immersive, sometimes even more cinematic than the campaign. We want more, it's spectacular.- Gameblog.fr

While Ghost of Yotei doesn't fundamentally revolutionize the already proven formula of Ghost of Tsushima, its sequel definitely perfects it in every aspect. Atsu's thirst for revenge, at first glance quite conventional, will take us on a magnificent journey through the Ezo region, as well as a moving quest of redemption for our heroine. Whether in the pleasantly immersive exploration of the open world, in a masterfully staged story or in a well-crafted and diverse action-infiltration gameplay, we are treated with a very generous adventure that constantly renews itself to keep us on the edge of our seats from start to finish. The PS5 has a new major exclusive here, which clearly overshadows Assassin's Creed Shadows, its illustrious big brother, and even other games of the same genre. Hell is Us is much more than it appears during the first few minutes. By cleverly combining action and adventure with the solving of arduous puzzles, the game plunges us into a dark and mature atmosphere, characterised by violence inspired by humanity's darkest moments. The themes it addresses are relevant, and it adds a supernatural and mystical dimension to the whole. Hell is Us is not without flaws — that's a fact. Its old-school approach is raw and unembellished, and will clearly not suit everyone. However, its magnificent artistic direction, worked level design and successful soundtrack take precedence over its weaknesses. We were absorbed for several dozen hours in our quest for answers in a war-ravaged country. It's a nice discovery for a game with certain potential.- Gameblog.fr

Overall, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is a magnificent comeback for the legendary SEGA franchise. This new game is a wonderful love letter to the franchise, with a well-crafted Metroidvania twist. However, the lifespan is artificially inflated by limiting the player to the main story and adding unnecessarily frustrating phases. If you loved the original games or enjoy 2D action platformers with stunning artistic direction, we wholeheartedly recommend this sumptuous martial arts masterpiece.- Gameblog.fr

If you like the classic souls-like formula, Wuchang Fallen Feathers is a truly exemplary textbook case, but which adds some very welcome touches of originality to freshen up the experience. The Chinese title thus offers a generous, exhilirating adventure, with a level design that is as well executed as it is beautiful to contemplate, and spectacular fights, perhaps a little too much against bosses with increasingly unbridled power requiring you to have a near-perfect mastery of its gameplay. In any case, the Middle Kingdom has here again a very good big-budget game, which proves solid in everything it undertakes, but perhaps a little too conventional for those allergic to a genre that is nowadays a bit saturated.- Gameblog.fr

For a long time, Nintendo prioritised fun over technique. However, with the Nintendo Switch 2, the company has finally freed itself from the compromises it has had to make in the past. Donkey Kong Bananza is funny, beautiful and fluid in almost all circumstances. With its brilliant level design and freedom of approach, it constantly stimulates curious players, rewarding them at every turn. Its inventive challenges and mini-games offer a real challenge and will surprise you for hours. With Donkey Kong Bananza, the console shows that it has muscle, and this is indeed the first unmissable Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.- Gameblog.fr

Some remakes simply have the 'money-spinner' label stuck to their foreheads, but Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 exudes passion through every pore. One could argue that it takes too few risks, but that's a small criticism for such a great game. This second update is pure fun. It's pure arcade fun, with an addictive formula, new cards for the first time in 15 successful years, and an abundance of cosmetics to unlock. A must for fans of the franchise.- Gameblog.fr

Death Stranding 2 isn't a great game, but a great work of art, far from the usual blockbusters. In more ways than one, it's not the kind of experience that everyone puts their hands on. You need to have a discerning eye, an open mind, and a certain curiosity for oddities, in addition to accepting that its structure and gameplay loop are absolutely redundant. If you approach it like any other title, it can be long, even boring at times, too easy certainly, and lazy in many ways. But the real experience lies elsewhere: in its concept of sharing and hyper connection, as well as in its deserted open world that we dress up with our creations while trying to put the pieces of a fractured and frightened humanity back together. It is also found in its convoluted main plot and its universe, which is difficult to approach but intriguing, and which keeps us on the edge of our seats until the end. It's a AAA UFO that sometimes goes overboard and doesn't particularly seek to please everyone, but it should still leave a lasting impression in one way or another. Love it, adore it, or hate it, Death Stranding 2 will leave no one unmoved. And just to be able to achieve such a contrast is art.- Gameblog.fr

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on Nintendo Switch 2 is undoubtedly the best way to discover the game or complete its current adventure. Far more beautiful, fluid and detailed than the original game, Nintendo's new console allows it to shine like never before. The resolution and framerate improvements alone are worth a look at this successful upgrade. It's just a shame that there aren't any real new features to follow, such as the ability to use the console's special features, or that certain improvements, such as the long-distance vegetation display, still struggle to convince. But as it stands, the masterpiece remains intact, and is even more beautiful here.- Gameblog.fr

Bravely Default Fairy Flies HD Remaster is a masterclass at least as effective as the original game, which is why the score is identical. This unhoped-for remaster sublimates an already beautiful and inspired JRPG, giving it a well-deserved second youth. With the exception of a couple of amusing but anecdotal mini-games, it lacks any major new features, but it modernizes and adapts to the new platform with formidable efficiency. It's gorgeous, extremely generous, as addictive as ever, and the soundtrack remains incredible. If there's one Nintendo Switch 2 launch game that deserves your attention, in addition to the indestructible Mario Kart World, it's this Bravely Default Remaster.- Gameblog.fr

Mario Kart World is an almost total success, and remains a must-have, even if there are a couple of minor complaints. Its risk-taking pays off, and it succeeds very well in its hairpin turn towards more subtle gameplay, which is still as fun and exhilarating as ever. The new features will take a little getting used to, but will quickly prove indispensable for shining in multiplayer races. The new survival mode is an absolute success and promises a bright future in the license, to the detriment of the battle mode, which is gradually fading away. In any case, Mario Kart World is a must-have for Nintendo Switch 2 and certainly the console's best launch game.- Gameblog.fr

It may not look like much, but Drop Duchy is a real nugget. With its atypical recipe of unrelated elements, the game succeeds in offering a coherent and even extremely addictive experience. The icing on the cake, despite the depth of its gameplay, which only increases with each game played, is that it is ultra accessible. All in all, you'll quickly find yourself hooked on this very well-crafted gameplay loop that keeps you wanting to play perfect games and rack up high scores. Elden Ring Nightreign is definitely a game apart in FromSoftware's catalog. Despite a clear requirement primarily geared toward three-player co-op, we legitimately had many memorable moments on this "Rogue-Lite Survival" spin-off in a generally successful and frankly addictive way, despite obvious balancing issues and questionable choices for a title focused on multiplayer. To fully appreciate the game in all its glory, however, we can only strongly advise you to play it with a group of friends. DOOM The Dark Ages puts us in a rather delicate position. On the one hand, we absolutely loved playing as the Slayer in a disproportionate medieval universe, thanks to a gameplay both "old-school" and modern, more brutal and enjoyable than ever, and even more accessible. On the other hand, the studio's attempts to bring more depth to the franchise's lore and game mechanics fell seriously flat overall. That didn't however stop us from having a monstrous blast eviscerating armies of demons, with a graphical and technical slap that was still as masterful as ever.- Gameblog.fr

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is far more than a simple facelift applied to a beloved classic. It’s a heartfelt tribute, crafted above all for those who first explored the lands of Cyrodiil nearly twenty years ago. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is undoubtedly a French slap in the face, dripping with love for video games and art as a whole. Extremely generous in everything it undertakes, the only criticism it can ultimately have is that it sometimes goes a little too far, at the risk of exploding. It feels breathless, on edge. There isn't an aspect that doesn't follow through and firmly adhere to its creators' vision, even if it means being disconcerting, even disturbing. In this sense, the game exudes untouchable creativity and intelligence. The developers give us everything they have, everything they want, and we welcome it. Blue Prince is an indispensable nugget, one of the most exciting games of early 2025, and that's all there is to it. It's hard to talk about it without spoiling the huge surprise that awaits you. Without warning, the game bewitches us with its unique roguelite-puzzle game recipe. Insanely intelligent, the richness of its gameplay is based on puzzles that you have to solve yourself. Calling on our grey matter like never before, and even going beyond the boundaries of video games by forcing us to scribble our ideas on the corner of a table. Addictive in the extreme, even more rewarding than any roguelite, Blue Prince clearly deserves your attention. However, for us French-speaking fans, the language barrier can be a problem. Neople's The First Berserker Khazan is a success. While it opts for a classic structure and a level design without too many surprises, it pulls out all the stops with its gameplay, halfway between souls-like and beat'em all. Hyper-energetic and highly graphic, the combat system is a pure success. Despite the difficulty, which is not always well balanced, the game is not punishing, but rather rewards the slightest action. The build-up of power coupled with the feeling of accomplishment make The First Berserker Khazan a truly enjoyable and exhilarating experience. Two Point Museum succeeds in captivating players with its original setting, full of humor and creativity. Dynasty Warrior Origins kicks a genre that has been stalled for too long. The musô comes out of its niche to tickle the curiosity of a wider audience, without forgetting its roots. It is a logical evolution of an old formula that still refuses to let go of its foundations, but accepts modernity. Result, the game drags its old demons like redundancy, intrinsic to the genre that we find in force here, or graphics below the standards. But the rest takes a facelift, with more advanced narration, efforts of staging and especially a will to do in the great show. It works like a dream, the game is complete, generous and super fun. With Civilization 7, Firaxis successfully modernizes the franchise while staying true to its legacy. The evolution of eras, more strategic diplomacy, and the new military system bring a much-needed refresh to the series. Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is a veritable love letter to the saga from which it draws its inspiration. The one that set the standard for all modern adventurers, whether in film or video games. A dinosaur, unearthed by Bethesda and MachineGames in the purest of ways. A true gem of fidelity, the game is packed not only with winks to ensure fan service, but also with details to integrate this new adventure with the cinematic saga. A success on every level, with Indy as real as life and total immersion. The only hitch is in the purely video game aspect. While the regions we visit are sublime, they're sometimes too vast for very little, and there's far too much filler in the way of collectibles. Indy may no longer be Nathan Drake, but he's not an old man either, and he's clearly not at his best in platforming or combat. Even the game's exploration drags on in a way that's hard to in 2024. The same goes for the lack of naturalness and life in the crowded, inhabited areas, and the completely out-of-date AI that breaks up the infiltration. Notable glitches, to say the least, in stark contrast to everything else. The fact remains that Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is one of the best Xbox exclusives of recent years, a fresh and gripping adventure that fans would be foolish to overlook for the few glitches that will quickly be swept under the carpet, and rightly so.- Gameblog.fr

Like the Exclusion Zone of Chornobyl Zone since 1986, STALKER 2 seems like stuck in a time bubble that ignores current industry standards. With the exception of a very beautiful artistic direction thanks to a cleverly exploited Unreal Engine 5. We indeed find everything that made the success of the franchise in its time. Namely a fascinating open world to explore, albeit extremely oppressive which requires nerves of steel. The title may, however, put off newcomers who are not used to such a demanding experience, but will reward a hundredfold the most courageous ones ready to venture into it. We also appreciate the care taken in an intriguing story to follow, dictated by our choices. Despite several flaws that could break the pace or an otherwise impressive immersion and the presence of some more or less annoying bugs, STALKER 2 has come a long way. The 14 years of waiting for an unexpected return in such solid form deserves, in our opinion, to salute the determination and the deep testimony of love of GSC Game World towards this iconic license. As inhospitable as it is, the Zone tentatively invites us to get lost in it for hours of pleasure mixed with anxiety. Batman Arkham Shadow is one of the best VR games on the market, although it’s only available on Meta Quest 3 at this time. Not only is it a very good Batman Arkham that respects the universe in which it infiltrates, but as a bonus it is an extremely well-designed game. Its combat system, directly inspired by that of the other games in the franchise, is simply incredible although very tiring. We really fight at last, miming hooks, uppercuts and other special shots. Unbelievable but true, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 succeeds where the license has failed for years: it has managed to create a surprise and renew its formula, finally! It is an excellent episode, one of the best in the series and by far. Its campaign will remain in your head for a long time because it is generous, well-crafted and above all incredibly surprising. Very diverse, it even offers a host of things never before attempted in the license, and above all it succeeds in everything it undertakes. Gripping from start to finish, it also allows you to get your hands on another element that has had a fresh look: the gameplay. The omnimovement, repeatedly praised by the studio, is a pretty incredible new feature that really changes the way you approach the game. Add to that an extremely solid multiplayer, also very generous with lots of game modes and well-designed maps, not to mention the Zombies mode which makes a welcome return to its roots by marrying certain new features over the episodes, and you get one of the best FPS of recent years. Life is Strange Double Exposure is not only a delight for long-time fans, it's also a game that's well worth the journey. It captivates us with an intrigue that manages to surprise us, even when we think we've got it all figured out... It's a very appreciable tour de force that should leave a strong mark on the IP as a whole. The lore is growing and new possibilities seem to be opening up for the future. Of course, not all the features are perfect. The game is beautiful, without being overpowering, and bears witness to technical limitations that Deck Nine will have to correct in future iterations to demonstrate that it is capable of surpassing itself and taking the license even further. In any case, after this new installment, the Life is Strange IP could be approaching a tipping point in its formula and approach to writing. So we can't wait to discover what the sequel has in store for us. In the meantime, however, we've already got one thing on our minds: relaunching LiS 4 to explore all the alternative twists and turns. Although not as important as Reaper of Souls for Diablo 3, Vessel of Hatred and the Season 6 that released alongside it clearly brought a welcome breath of fresh air to Diablo 4, despite a price that could be a bit too high depending of what we expect from it. The fans of the genre on the other side definitely enjoy what it offers. The campaign in the Nahantu jungle in its beautiful and macabre glory is as great as the main story in the base game, terrible cliffhanger at the end that filled us with Hatred nonwithstanding. The Spiritborn class is a true joy to play, with a great diversity of builds that are genuinely exciting to explore, alongside the Mercenaries and the runic words from Diablo 2 that make a convincing comeback, especially for solo players. Finally, the two additions to the endgame are both interesting and relevant in this central pillar of a hack'n'slash game, but only if you go through the Dark Citadel with friends. Let's hope that Blizzard will keep on this promising path with a second expansion that is most certainly already in the works (with a satisfying end this time, pretty please).- Gameblog.fr

More generous, unpredictable and flamboyant than ever, Super Mario Party Jamboree is an essential to liven up your evenings with friends or family. This eighteenth episode breaks away from some of its predecessors' dubious choices to focus on the essentials: effective mini-games and more than ever, Wild parts that gain a little bit in rhythm and content generous enough not to tire those who would only take it out on rare occasions. With a few game modes to top it off, some quite ingenious, others more gadgets, Super Mario Party Jamboree has the merit of varying the pleasures. It is certainly not a revolution, but it remains an excellent party-game that will cheer up without problem your evenings and offer you some laughter.- Gameblog.fr

Some works leave a deep impression on you. After the excellent Gris, Nomada has succeeded for a second time in making a condensed game that will nevertheless leave a lasting impression on those who venture into it. It's hard not to compare it with the studio's previous title, so similar are they in some ways. But Neva has a personality of its own. It tackles other themes, just as universal and with an evocative force that goes straight to the heart. We want more, just a little bit more, to close this never-ending story with the feeling that we've really reached the end of what the game can tell us. This doesn't detract from the pleasure of traversing the sublime scenery of this dreamlike world, in the company of this little she-wolf whom we quickly fall in love with. Neva will definitely find its place in the hearts of all gamers.- Gameblog.fr

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, eagerly awaited, was like a Kamehameha straight from our hands, the fruit of our exaltation, many sleepless nights to unlock the entire roster and the cumulative pleasure of playing, playing and playing some more. The title isn't perfect, and suffers from a few optimization issues that may be the result of certain choices made by the development team, but it's still great. Since Dragon Ball Fighter Z, we've lacked a title that could renew the license with such freshness, and this is a stunning return for the Budokai Tenkaichi saga.- Gameblog.fr

God of War Ragnarok follows its predecessor’s path for its PC port, offering players the best version of the adventures of Kratos and Atreus. Of course the game takes advantage of the power of PCs and their exclusive technologies to push even further the visual quality, yet already impressive on PlayStation 5: native 4k, framerate unlocked, DLSS or FSR are particularly in the game to offer optimal performance for the vast majority of configurations.- Gameblog.fr

Silent Hill 2 Remake is a sensational comeback for the franchise and Bloober Team’’s best game to date. Far from being just an opportunistic game, it is both a love letter to the saga and a successful retelling of the original one. Faithful and very different, this new game modernizes psychological horror without ever abandoning its old-school roots. Silent Hill 2 Remake is deeply scary and stressful. Besides being very good remake it is simply an excellent survival horror that honors the license and gives us great hope for the future.- Gameblog.fr

Frostpunk 2 brilliantly continues the legacy of the first game by deepening moral dilemmas and adding complex political mechanisms. Every decision matters, whether it’s to satisfy a faction or meet the immediate needs of the city. The game asks a fundamental question: how far are you willing to go for your society to thrive in a frozen world? If you enjoyed the first Frostpunk or appreciate games that blend strategy with moral reflection, Frostpunk 2 is a must-play.- Gameblog.fr

The Zelda license returns magically to Nintendo Switch with a title that brings a welcomed breath of fresh air. Giving us the unprecedented opportunity to embody the Princess herself, Echoes of Wisdom carries the legacy of an entire license to which it brings its load of (small) new additions. Grezzo has succeeded in combining the feeling of dungeon exploration that many fans have been missing, with gameplay directly inspired by Tears of the Kingdom. In this way, the game manages to appeal to fans both past and present, for an experience which proves that even after almost 40 years, Nintendo's historic IPs know how to renew themselves and, above all, don't hesitate to dare. After such an opus, we can only ask for even more ambition for future 2D Zelda games.- Gameblog.fr

Every year, the NBA 2K saga is a great priestess of sports games simulations. It is difficult to imagine that the outcome will change this year, when the basic recipe remains the same. What was less predictable is that NBA 2K25 sows some seeds of improvement rather well come, notably in the accessibility of the game and its universe, in the approach to certain modes and especially, in the overall gameplay. NBA 2K25 is fun to play, more affordable than its predecessor, as long as you take the time to learn and set your gaming experience, and it gives players a little more freedom in how they live their Career or GM role. But we expect better for the women’s circuit, better in the pay-to-win balance. A margin of improvement to be sought next year, who knows?- Gameblog.fr

You don’t change a winning team, and that’s almost exactly what EA Sports FC 25 is offering this season. The basis of the precedent is there, with changes that are more like adjustments than profound upheavals. The fun is there, the life of the title always as consistent and finally there is enough new material in each mode to invite you to experience. The big plus is the Rush mode, clearly, and we’ll have to see how EA Sports plans to exploit a well-promoted mode everywhere in the coming months to gauge its potential accurately. In the meantime, deep in love or not in love with the ball, you know what to do in a few days with your money. One more season.- Gameblog.fr

Astro Bot is an ultra-efficient platformer, but more than that. More than just a PlayStation tribute game, it's an experience in its own right. A Madeleine de Proust that will appeal to the little gamer in all of us. Far removed from the violence of many of today's AAA games, this is an outpouring of love for video games, and for PlayStation too, of course. In this sense, DualSense is more than ever in the spotlight, and all the better for it. We'd totally forgotten about its functionality, as the poor thing is generally under-exploited. Gameplay is a clear winner here, and you'll even find yourself experimenting with the hyper-calibrated haptic feedback. All in all, Astro Bot offers a dynamic, well-paced game that continually renews itself. There are a few glitches where skills, game sequences and OST use are repeated, but that's just nitpicking. In reality, it's a blast and leaves you wanting more. Astro Bot has a message, one that reminds us of what's essential: have fun, enjoy yourself and love video games. And for that, it's a total success.- Gameblog.fr

If you are an absolute fan of Warhammer 40,000, skipping Space Marine 2 would be pure heresy. Saber Interactive blesses us with a gorgeous love letter to the iconic universe imagined by Games Workship, like few other games have before. Impersonating an Angel of Death has never been so thrilling and the slaughter made in the Emperor's name so beautiful to feast our eyes upon. The third person shooters aficionados will also find here an extremely solid title, whether through an although rather short but enjoyable Campaign or with the Operations mode, that offers huge replayability, or finally with the multiplayer mode. Despite the huge work done on the game that shows a contagious passion, it severly lacks content in its base form. Let's hope it will be regularly updated to keep its players engaged in the long term for this excellent representation of the grim darkness of the far future... as long as your play it with your most faithful brothers in arms.- Gameblog.fr

For its first shot in the beloved galaxy far, far away, Ubisoft Massive makes a convincing show of Force, in an open world formula relatively well adapted. At its best, Star Wars Outlaws is a very good blend between action-adventure and stealth games, especially thanks to the adorable addition of Nix. It's also one of the most beautiful and immersive Star Wars games to date, that pays a lovely tribute to this monument of the pop-culture. The whole experience is although marred by a conventional story, with rather cliché characters, some frustrating bug mostly rare bugs, and the terrible AI that has plagued Ubisoft games for years. Nevertheless, this is definitely a good Star Wars Games, which could spark a new hope for the return of Ubisoft at its peak.- Gameblog.fr
