Diablo III lands on the Nintendo Switch, under the name of an Eternal Collection that brings two expansions to the original game. In what is without a doubt a magnificent adaptation of a monument of a game, players will find an immense challenge that will be accessible for beginners and compelling for veterans, with content that will easily reach over one hundred hours of gameplay, a top notch multiplayer component and the added handheld character of the Nintendo Switch. One of the finest games of the year to come out on Nintendo's console.- FNintendo

SteamWorld Dig 2 does everything the original did and outperforms it in every single measure. Thanks to its magnificent level design and very well implemented gameplay mechanics, Dig 2 is a compulsory purchase and anything that could ever be asked from a sequel.- FNintendo

While this does not add anything to the shoot'em up classic, it brings this short but frantic challenge to more players as it allows the Switch audience to enjoy one of the most iconic arcade style shoot'em ups of the last two decades, even if less experienced players will find it frustrating.- FNintendo

Cave Story+ may have already been around in other formats before but it's such a delightful game to play that it's still recommended to everyone, this time with the added bonus of including all the soundtracks of the game's previous versions. Its finely designed difficulty curve will set everyone on their course and the magnificent boss fights only make this even more of a timeless classic.- FNintendo

Astral Chain takes action and RPG elements and raises them to a threshold of magnificence thanks to its combat mechanics, rich content, stunning art style and absolutely marvelous soundtrack. The result is a masterpiece that is worth way more than the sum of its parts and the best new IP to land on the Nintendo Switch, attesting yet again to the role of Platinum Games in developing unique and unforgettable games.- FNintendo

Pokémon Sun & Moon are among the best entries in the series and while it doesn't break any significant new grounds, Game Freak's latest opus adds an additional layer of strategic planning to the gameplay and features a beautiful audiovisual environment topped with the series' best plot so far. It's not very clear where Poké Finder fits in and the performance is less on par in the original 3DS but the Pokémon series is definitely showing that it's still alive and kicking...and worthy of the players' attention.- FNintendo

Guacamelee! 2 may share a lot of aspects with its predecessor but that doesn't stand in the way of improving in several ways. Even better, this is a gem of a game, with a delightful sense of humour and an addictive Metroidvania-style gameplay that becomes even more fun when making use of its upgraded-to-four-player co-op mode.- FNintendo

This remake of Link's Awakening is by most ways the ultimate version of the Zelda classic. With additional content, a much-improved item assignment system and consequent gameplay improvements, a new difficulty level and a marvelous visual style, the new Link's Awakening is a joy to play and the experience would be even better if the new Chamber Dungeon component offered more options.- FNintendo

Nintendo’s first downloadable content for Mario Kart 8 is a welcome addition that can rekindle the players’ dedication to the game. Pushing for more contents from outside the Mario universe is a very good idea and expectations are high for the next DLC batch.- FNintendo

Trine 2: Complete Story is not arriving on the Nintendo Switch with a wealth of new content but how can that matter when this is such a marvelous puzzler? With its art style that still looks gorgeous as it ages, a perfectly fluid control system and gameplay, this incarnation of Trine 2 could only improve by being made into a handheld system and now that this threshold has been met, the only thing left to say is for everyone to get their hands on it.- FNintendo

Bringing Out Run to the 3DS under the name of 3D Out Run is an excellent way to get this Sega classic back into the stream. Keeping the same spirit as the 1980s racing hit, 3D Out Run is a perfect conversion to the handheld format and all that made the original game a cult classic is on its place.- FNintendo

Owlboy is a magnificent piece of work with marvelous visual details, an amazing soundtrack and a very well-crafted plot. Its lifespan may not be the most expected for a game of its kind but Owlboy offers very good arguments on every other component that make this game stand out for the passion its creators put into it. The Messenger pays tribute to gaming classics in a fun, involving and memorable way that will get players to quickly enjoy the experience and get the most of its hilarious plot and marvelous audiovisual environment. Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom is a rather surprising and very enjoyable 2D platformer that openly dresses the skin of a metroidvania-style of game, with a well-structured experience, a high quality cartoon-like art style and well implemented gameplay mechanics. It does not reinvent the wheel when it comes to 2D platformers but it certainly does a very good job at delivering a quality metroidvania type of game.- FNintendo
