Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions remasters the original game but doesn't settle for that, adding a new Minion Quest mode and makes the original look slicker and more polished. This effort to bring the game to the current generation works like a charm, as the plot remains fun and welcome to dabble in and the game's variety makes it a very welcome addition to the Nintendo 3DS library.

A strong emphasis on its online mechanics means that most of Splatoon is to be experienced on a multiplayer basis, which would be at a higher level if all future options and contents were already available. Given the importance of cooperative online play and team work, it's also difficult to understand why there's no voice chat but despite this shortcoming, Splatoon has all conditions to become a must have classic, once all the contents are made available.

Thanks to its remarkable character development, well written dialogue and overall quality of the plot, Oxenfree is certain to strike a chord with fans of story-driven games, even if its length is rather short but that ends up being minimal when faced with the game's surprising developments.

Featuring a marvelous story telling and a healthy variety of characters, this game will easily appeal to players who are looking for a good story, despite the game's lack of voice acting which might feel a bit strange sometimes.

A cooperative online multiplayer is always good, as is the improved art style. The game could be better, though, if its difficulty and challenge level had not been toned down so much and if some of its new features had a more positive impact on the experience but overall, those who did not play the original will find good reasons to have fun with Overcooked! 2.

A magnificent visual environment, a fitting soundtrack, very challenging races that are perfectly matched with the controllers and its multiplayer modes make FAST Racing Neo one of the best indie games on the Wii U and a compulsory option for fans of fast racing games.

Voez makes its arrival on the Nintendo Switch as a rhythm game that features a wide selection of songs and making full use of the console's touchscreen. Those unaccustomed to this kind of games may find it repetitive and it can cause some physical discomfort after long periods of use, which along with a lack of a real progression system makes this a game aimed mostly at fans of the rhythm and music genre.

A goose may not be the first (or second, or third) choice for a game's main character but a goose who engages in detestable pranks, now that's even more unexpected. That's what Untitled Goose Game does, and does it well. It's surprisingly fun to play heinous little pranks on innocent humans, especially with an exquisite soundtrack in the background. While the game is rather short and doesn't avoid some repetitiveness, Untitled Goose Game is certain to gain a (socially unacceptable) special place in the Nintendo Switch of many players.

Its blend of platforms and puzzles and the way the game was spawned from Super Mario 3D World are very well executed and the overall atmosphere of the title is extremely creative and likely to keep players around it for a long time.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia brings the series back to its origins in several ways. Featuring a very captivating plot and cast as well as some new and welcome gameplay elements, it leaves the feeling that this game is putting Fire Emblem back on its original course. Even if some of its missions might feel uninspired and the combat excessive at times, this is still a very good omen for upcoming Fire Emblem games.

Rune Factory 4 Special is truthful to its title, this is indeed a special work, mostly thanks to a captivating gameplay and an amount of content that will last many long and good hours. While Rune Factory veterans might not see plenty of new elements here, players taking their first steps in this series will be delighted at the variety of elements they will find here, making this Rune Factory 4 Special a very recommended purchase.

When the work on display is such a marvelous exercise in customization, exploration and combat and on top of that, even benefits from a top class conversion for the Nintendo Switch format, there's not much more to add other than an emphatic recommendation for players to get their hands on this work.

It can be too predictable at some points and its longer lifespan feels unnecessary at some moments but the overall result is still on par with the high standards that the series has left its players used to.

Bravely Second: End Layer does not live up to its predecessor's standards but this does not make it any less of a good RPG. Its visual environment is superb, it's loaded with content and its lifespan will keep everyone around it for a long time. It also improves on its predecessor's class system, while it falls out with the soundtrack and narrative.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Special Episode not only adds more content and challenges to the original game, it brings a fantastic addition to the game that makes it an absolute charm to revisit. The high quality of this DLC is also more than enough to make everyone ask why doesn't Nintendo do this more often.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is not just a collection, it's a celebration of Street Fighter's three decades in gaming. Featuring twelve games, including some of the series' most iconic titles, as well as an enjoyable local multiplayer and a well designed online multiplayer (though not for all games in the collection), this might very well be one of the best collections ever made in the history of gaming.

As a port of a game that is well-known by millions of players, there is nothing truly surprising in 3D Sonic the Hedgehog, but it has become the definitive version of the Mega Drive classic. An almost flawless adaptation, and definitely one of the best eShop games available, despite the obvious lack of a widescreen mode.

Zero Time Dilemma is nothing short of a world class conclusion to the Zero Escape trilogy, thanks to its excellent narrative, its interesting and very developed cast of characters and a marvelous audio environment. While not all of the trilogy's loose ends are brought together and its visual environment could certainly improve, this is a game that is compulsory for all the series' followers as well as to virtually anyone else.

As far as humorous unconventional games are concerned, Stick it to the Man fits perfectly among those titles that break the lines of conformity. The whole experience is richly treated to a recipe of originality and humour, helped by a superb sound environment. If only the programming of some of the GamePad functions was improved and longevity more ambitious, this would be an all-round winner.

Rogue Legacy comes with some good ideas that break away with some of the roguelike genre conventions. Its combat system is simple and fun and it features a progression system that can motivate players more easily to advance. While it still suffers from of the genre's ills and its difficulty level is not correctly implemented, Rogue Legacy has something that can appeal to fans of the roguelike genre and beyond, also thanks to its very good audiovisual environment.
