Almost a decade after its original release, LEGO Harry Potter is feeling the weight of his years. A lack of variety of mechanics and a level of not-so-rich graphic richness are flanked, however, to a carefree and stimulating gameplay.

A classic hack 'n' slash, with an RPG twist. Good for Marvel fans.

Short but intense, the journey through Ariandel lands will entice longtime fans. Too bad for the very short duration of this (mis)adventure, that goes off in a few hours, voraciously consumed by those who have reached the endgame.

Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is a well-crafted graphic adventure that we would like to recommend to anyone, especially to those who have had the opportunity to appreciate the first chapter. Trapped in a story with mysterious and paranormal connotations, the protagonists of the game are credible and multifaceted, to the advantage of the effectiveness of the story and the dialogues with the supporting actors. The title does not have the innovative charge of the progenitor and perhaps does not exploit some good ideas as it could have but offers an exciting experience with a well-chosen setting, which you should not miss.

Brand new engine and a good balance between simulation and arcade. It might not sport great looks, but as a motorbike simulation MotoGP 14 has what it takes to involve fans.

Hack'n'Slash comes from a great idea, but in the end to re-program a game is not as entertaining as playing one.

The more than satisfactory combat system therefore turns out to be diluted within a vision that has preferred to put the narrated phase at the center of the work, too often weakening the feeling of enthusiasm and grit returned by the excellent clashes.

It's a game made for cooperative play, in the end. It might change the missions' structure when you turn to single-player, but it won't be able to offer the same depth other games can. Still, if you have friends to play with, this will be a nice experience.

Tribes of Midgard is a good compromise between team play, exploration and survival. A sandbox with an intriguing setting, albeit artistically uninspired, which offers a type of approach to the genre by virtue of accessibility and cooperation: in short, the shy but dignified starting point for Norsfell. A team that thus sets foot in a market that is quite inflated in itself, laying the foundations for an experience that - if duly supported, especially in terms of content - could prove to be an excellent opportunity to engage in fierce survival challenges with friends. However, it remains a not very bold title on the action front, and the same can be said for its aesthetic identity, still too weak to stand out properly.

Stories looks like a unpolished narrative experiment. The main problem here is an ordinary combat system and a set of situations that never challenge the player. Trying to discover every possible ending, though, you'll discover a light and inspired platformer.

Outriders Worldslayer is not a groundbreaking expansion and lacks the ability to appeal to all those players who didn't enjoy the game last year. Flying over the negligible campaign both in terms of quality and longevity, however, the first paid DLC of the People Can Fly looter shooter introduces an endgame mode able to entertain all those users who have loved madly the game and they want to go back to Enoch at all costs to improve their character traits and create crazy builds.

If for wines there are memorable vintages and others less so, the same can also be said for the annual sports simulations. MotoGP 23 proves to be a perfect game for those approaching the world championship for the first time or for those who have skipped a couple of editions of the Milestone series. The neural aids and AI in general work, the new career has more bite and depth than previous incarnations and the dynamic weather conditions (including Flag to Flag) give a new dimension to the racing. Those who have played the 2022 edition, however, will find very few differences in the driving model (however improved) or on the graphics front. With the launch of RIDE 5 in a few months and a possible new chapter dedicated to SBK, Milestone has played it safe with a conservative approach, a bit too much for our tastes.

With its hybrid nature between roguelite and cozy game, Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree attempts to make its mark on the gaming landscape. The high sugar content may prove indigestible to those who don't like a certain Japanese animation style. Those who embrace its philosophy, however, will find a choral adventure, rich in personality and heart. It never achieves excellence, but it remains a light and satisfying journey, capable of entertaining for many hours without ever becoming overly punishing. There's still work to be done. The dual-character system is a great idea but still feels immature, while the evident repetitiveness of the bosses and arenas may bore some. Imperfections aside, Towa proves to be a heartfelt title, and this is undoubtedly its greatest strength.

Nintendo Championships NES Edition presents itself to the fans as an authentic love letter to the history of the Japanese giant, with an eye on the phenomenon of speedrunning which on the iconic 8-bit home console has its most archaic roots. It is a title capable of challenging even the most experienced players but at the same time incredibly accessible thanks to a control system that is rather simple to master and a user interface that is always clear and legible. It is certainly a product designed for multiplayer use which perhaps loses some of its undeniable charm if played solo but we are sure that it will delight anyone who wants to give it a chance.

An interesting training ground for whoever wants to face bigger challenges in the near future, but it doesn't have the bone structure to fully stand as an all around experience on its own. On the other hand, some aspects of the combat system show personality, and will make the drawbacks even more annoying.

Not only did Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny not turn out to be as explosive, but the product seemed to us a listless more of the same, moreover suffering from technical deficiencies that were unjustifiable to say the least.
