The VR version of Superhot is definitely the definitive one, able to exponentially increase the involvement and immersiveness of a gameplay associated with movements and the flow of time.

Despite a non-optimized to best development, undermined by haste to publish the game, it remains impossible not to be affected by the quality of the second episode of the series The Walking Dead.

Crimson Desert is certainly neither a masterpiece nor a total disaster; rather, it is the outcome of an evolutionary trajectory with excellent potential—albeit one undermined by a creative direction that compromised part of its final execution. It is a product evidently diminished by the creative metamorphosis it underwent during development, yet one whose immense scope remains palpable thanks to one of the finest implementations of the open-world structure in recent memory, a generous wealth of content, and technical execution of the highest caliber. As it currently stands, we cannot give it top marks; however, there is a concrete possibility that the project's stewards—who have proven surprisingly swift in responding to community feedback—will succeed in resolving many of its most glaring flaws. Should that happen, we could well be looking at a result of an entirely different caliber.

There's hope that, in good time, EA Sports can nail once and for all what UFC is all about. This is an encouraging first try, still lacking some precision and strategy in ground fights, but bestowed with jaw breaking graphics.

It is precisely when exploration takes over mild combat that Axiom Verge 2 shines the most, revealing a "two-sided" universe full of details and secrets that is certainly worth bringing to the surface.

13 years after its debut, Bravely Default remains an extraordinary JRPG in every way, as well as a title that any fan of the genre should jealously guard in their collection. That said, the remaster churned out by Cattle Call does not really add anything indispensable to the original experience, except for some necessary adjustments to the "quality of life"; indeed, paradoxically the re-release locks down key mechanics that were once available from the first hours behind two new and damned repetitive mini-games. If you do not have a Nintendo 3DS and are not the least bit interested in getting one, the remaster could be a good opportunity to bring home one of the best JRPGs of the modern era. However, we remain of the opinion that the combo formed by the Nintendo 3DS version and its equally enjoyable direct sequel (which expanded and concluded the story), played strictly on the original hardware and therefore on two screens as it was originally intended, is still the best way to explore Luxendarc and experience the great adventure of the Warriors of Light in its entirety.

In short, the purchase of this chapter is mainly recommended both for anyone who has never played the first Puyo Puyo Tetris, and for all those who see attractive and stimulating content in the presence of the online PvE rankings, in the new Adventure and in the Technical Battles.

It's an interesting DLC, and the new base building will undoubtedly shift the balances of multiplayer. Still, all thing considered, a single player expansion to beef up the package would've been much appreciated.

Planet Alpha is a colorful and overwhelming adventure. A daring platformer with ever-changing situations and dynamic, truly-inspired puzzles. If you manage to go beyond the reactivity of the not-really-exciting commands, you will have in your hands an excellent title, able to keep you glued to the screen up to the end credits.

Unravel Two is more beautiful to see and richer on the side of content, but at the same time it lacks that creative verve that its predecessor had courageously brought with it.

Those looking for some kind of challenge will not find satisfaction in Little Orpheus, which however, as at the time of its debut, remains an indie gem to which at least the admirers of narrative-based platform games, and of "sci-fantasy" stories in particular, they should not turn their backs at all. Humor and wonder come together to perfection in the latest effort of The Chinese Room, returning a brief but full of surprises experience, which on living room screens relives in an imperfect but content-wise form, certainly to be privileged when in the future it will be allowed to come out.

Don't be fooled by the reduced duration of Seven's adventure: after the finale you will be delighted by numerous additions during the second game, and the new awareness gained in the course of exploring Aryish could push you to renew your approach, looking for other avenues. The narration will satisfy the fans of Isaac Asimov's great science fiction, with suggestions of a religious nature that recall the works of Roger Zelazny and Philip Kindred Dick; the possibilities for in-depth analysis offered by the documents then recall works such as The Talos Principle (2014). There remain some small regrets: we would have liked a greater characterization of the inhabitants, robotic and otherwise, of the planet Aryish, and on some occasions the lack of variety of enemies leaves room for a small dose of monotony. Vesper, however, remains a star that shines bright in the sky of Italian videogame development, and which we recommend without reservation.

It's a game made for cooperative play, in the end. It might change the missions' structure when you turn to single-player, but it won't be able to offer the same depth other games can. Still, if you have friends to play with, this will be a nice experience.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a great excuse to recover two gorgeous platformers without having to tinker with old consoles or spend a fortune. A double remastering of the first two chapters released on PlayStation consoles, perhaps a little too intrusive the one applied on Door to Phantomile, which loses its characteristic 2D pixel art style on 3D modeled backgrounds, but all in all pleasant. Too bad for the lack of care shown for the outline, in particular UI and font of the texts, but it is an excellent birthday present for the 25 years of Klonoa, who after a quarter of a century still proves to be one of the most adorable and iconic from the PlayStation era.

Forza Horison 5: Hot Wheels is a beautiful dive into the dreams of children who have been building tracks on tracks for decades. A sort of car-sized playground built to amaze from the very first moment, which, however, focuses too much on the glance and sacrifices on the altar of the scenography both the freedom of exploration of the base game and the beauty of its events. The festival's spectacular expeditions are lacking, as are secondary events that increase affection for this new floating and intricate world. It is good that a different path has been tried than in the past but the experiment presents some uncertainty in our opinion.

Observer is an interesting experience, which finds its main strength in the spire of a deep and intriguing story, and harmoniously combines sci-fi themes (primarily trans-humanism) with other intimate and familiar topics.
