Despite being a title of undoubted breadth, this remake of Resident Evil 3 could have reached a certainly higher quality level.

Even an year later on PS4, Abyss Odyssey is still a great roguelike, bestowed with a unique graphic style. Shame for the drops in framerate, but everything else is still top notch.

Although many have dreamed for years of seeing the world through the cockpit of a mecha, now it is best to be content to admire its shiny metallic body from the outside.

Codemasters racing thrives on lights and shadows. To attract the greatest number of players, GRID Legends seems to have partly lost the common thread that had characterized the very good reboot in 2019.

Pokemon Go is not a great game. Some important features are missing and bugs are way too frequent. Still, the social implications of Niantic's app are impressive. This game has changed forever the augmented reality market and reshaped the mobile gaming landscape.

As many other games developed by Level-5, Yo-Kai Watch is a well-rounded RPG, perfect to address a younger audience. On the long run, though, the battles become somehow boring and the narrative weakens.

Flint Treasure of Oblivion is a pirate adventure with a successful atmosphere and tone, full of visual details that make it more authentic than many other pirate transpositions. Interfaces, settings and costumes, equipment and objects, writing and texts contribute to this goal. The plot, on the other hand, is not among the most interesting and does not fully do justice to the importance of the protagonist: the legendary pirate James Flint from the novel Treasure Island. As for the actual gameplay, although the dice rolls liven up the turn-based battles a bit, in the long run they become repetitive at times and sometimes last too long. Ultimately, if you are a fan of the setting halfway between the epic and the crude, all shrouds, rusty swords and explosive barrels, Flint will fully satisfy you. Otherwise, both as a strategic RPG it is an enjoyable experience, but not very original or varied.

Flying in sidereal spaces offers sensations of pure exaltation, with the contribution of game systems as effective as they are layered, which especially on the multiplayer side guarantee production an absolutely convincing strategic profile. On the other hand, however, the weakness of the single player campaign, combined with the scarcity of the multiplayer offer and some fluctuations on the technical side, prevents the Electronic Arts title from achieving excellence.

There's a scene, during a flashback in the game, in which Carole invites Lana to literally close one eye and observe her surroundings from a different perspective. "When things don't seem the way we want them to," she tells her, "try to see them from another angle." I decided to do the same with Bye Sweet Carole when I encountered gameplay and stylistic roughness, perhaps the result of a strong desire to do things and an unbalanced sense of proportion. Carole's advice was helpful. Because Little Sewing Machine's work is a small visual and aural delight, a courageous display of skill that manages to transcend its uncertainties. The rating below represents the other angle I chose to see, where the flaws outweigh the merits. Because I believe it's worth letting yourself be transported into this world of "pitch, ash, and coal."

The first episode of Jacob Jones and the Mystery Bigfoot is fun and challenging. The only flaw of the game is its extreme similarity to the saga of Professor Layton. But those who love the genre, will also appreciate this.

GTFO is a concentration of love and wickedness, the merciless manifestation of a concept as inflexible as it is created with care and dedication. Although not all the pieces of the 10 Chambers proposal have yet been filed to perfection, the title does not fail to offer its users a cooperative experience full of personality, fiercely hardcore and stimulating in the most infamous sense of the term. It is certainly not a product for all palates, and it is certainly true that the Swedish studio still has some work to do, but already now GTFO is perfectly able to offer lovers of cooperative shooter with high difficulty rate a valuable mix of anxiety and excitement, fueled by an inflexible playful formula but capable of giving large doses of satisfaction.

Dune Spice Wars pays homage to the source material in a clear and often effective way. The strategic foundations that the Shiro Games team has laid are also solid, thanks to the various mechanics that refer to the Dune universe. However, on this well-studied foundation the team has built an experience that is at times superficial. The depth and complexity that one would expect from a game set in such a rich imagination are lost in some choices that we struggled to understand. That said, those who love the reference genre and Frank Herbert's iconic novels should give Spice Wars a chance.

Fortnite is not a masterpiece, yet it is one of the most important games in the current videogame panorama. If you are wondering why this happened, you just have to hold the joycons and spend a few minutes in the company of ninety-nine other players, whether you are at home or at lunch at work. Warning: it could be addictive.

F1 24 does not represent the evolutionary step that, for example, F1 23 had been compared to its predecessor, but it is undoubtedly a valid product that will entertain Formula 1 lovers for dozens of hours thanks to a simple and satisfying driving system and a large content package and varied.
