Thanks to masterfully written dialogues, the story and screenplay of Tyranny are intriguing and well-paced. We appreciated as well the freedom provided in the character development, as well as the innovations introduced in the combat and spells systems.

A must for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, and absolutely recommended for everyone else, The Artful Escape of Francis Vendetti tells with irony and intelligence the path of artistic and inner growth of a talented teenage musician. Through the celestial bodies of the Stupefacosm, the protagonist and the player learn together to follow only the rhythm of their electric guitar, among extraordinarily inspired landscapes. Even in the face of a playful sector that does not represent the fulcrum of the work, the only regret remains a rhythm game soul that could have dared more. But in the face of the power of the proposed experience, we consider it a slight observation that we hope will be heard in a desirable second journey into the Stupefacosm.

In addition to being frighteningly dense in terms of content, Help Wanted is also the most terrifying and anxious episode in Scott Cawthon's horror saga.

With Amnesia: Rebirth, Frictional's philosophy really returns. There is that talent for subtle and psychological horror, which relies on physical and explicit threats just to keep working.

F.I.S.T .: Forged in Shadow Torch is an imperfect production but by no means trivial: a metroidvania that does its own without excelling in any area, in any case denoting a certain expertise on the part of a team that is anything but accustomed to global stages. What is missing are only a bit of an overall vision, a sense of proportion (because the adventure is paradoxically even a thread too long) and a basic balance: sins of youth, however excusable, which cannot really affect the value of a title that can be played with a certain pleasure.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is another thing of beauty in the series. The title comes with outstanding gameplay, refreshed by little new features, a brand new Live Tournament online mode that gives you the chance to compete with the pro's, and the best graphics ever seen in a sports title.

The latest chapter is an experience that moves in balance between continuity and timid attempts at innovation, which brings with it some shortcomings from the previous episode (above all a poor general cleaning and an unresponsive AI), but which manages to compose an epic full of events, situations and possibilities. In short, of fun. Anyone willing to turn a blind eye to some technical and gameplay edges will therefore experience one of those adventures that the skalds would not hesitate to sing in the Norse courts. Odin is with Ubisoft.

The night of the monsters may therefore not be the shocking event that we all expected, especially after the achievements of Lacrimosa of Dana, but a good story and the tested gameplay of the series, here embellished with a handful of new mechanics and above all by the Gifts of the Monster, which among other things greatly lighten the exploratory phases, still make it a delightful action RPG.

On Nintendo Switch, with the Rebel Collection, Ubisoft has created a small jewel, capable of guaranteeing technical performance that (especially in portability) did not make us regret the console versions in the slightest.

PGA Tour 2K25 is the third title developed by HB Studios in five years, and the improvements are clear to see. The new swing mechanics offer a stimulating challenge for veterans and make the game accessible and fun for newcomers. The graphics have been improved, providing a much more realistic and exciting atmosphere on the greens. From a content standpoint, there is little to complain about, apart from the golfer roster which remains rather limited. The additions to the MyPlayer and MyCareer modes are welcome, but the interference of microtransactions proves annoying. It may not be the most beautiful golf simulation on the planet, but PGA Tour 2K25 is certainly the most complete available on the market.

Football Manager 2023 is the natural evolution of last year's edition, and brings with it some innovations aimed at making the gaming experience more comfortable and immediate. The section called the Squad Plan is that tool you don't realize you need until you have it available and when you become familiar with it it is hard to do without it. UEFA licenses add atmosphere to cup matches and market dynamics are increasingly realistic, although still perfectible. Once again, the smallest progress concerns the technical sector, which instead was - and unfortunately remains - the area with the widest room for improvement, but overall this does not undermine an overall judgment, because Football Manager is above all tactics and transfer market and from these points of view continues to be the number one managerial for all fans of the sport to which it is dedicated.

Sonic x Shadow Generations confirms itself as one of the most successful incarnations of the IP and is preparing to hit the market in its definitive edition. The portion dedicated to the blue hedgehog is still quite enjoyable today, but it is the Shadow spin-off that plays the lion's share: the dark anti-hero from SEGA shows up to the appointment with fans in dazzling form. If you have never had the chance to experience the original adventure or if you are curious to find out in which direction the unpublished Shadow story will move, we can advise you to make the title yours without further ado.

MLB The Show 24 proves to be a solid simulation: not only has San Diego Studio solved some flaws but has perfected the gameplay even further. After a couple of slightly subdued years, the series seems to have stabilized at a high level: for those who want to get closer to the world of baseball there is nothing better around. To seduce veterans of the series, SDS has embellished the fabulous Storylines with a couple of truly spot-on additions (Toni Stone and Derek Jeter), giving more or less substantial tweaks to all the other modes. The technical sector has progressed even if the polygonal models and player animations in some situations reveal the limits of cross-gen production. The sound is simply fabulous: you can really feel the magic of a Stars and Stripes baseball game. SDS once again confirms its undeniable talent: MLB The Show 24 is one of the most successful episodes of the last period as well as one of the best sports simulations of the year.
