A hardcore platformer that thrives on contrasts: the choice of proposing a fairy-tale world clashes with a playful formula of an unusual cruelty, where the lesson of masterpieces like Super Meat Boy clearly echoes.

Impostor Factory teases and deceives, involves and strangles. It doesn't have the destabilizing power of To The Moon, nor the brain balance of Finding Paradise, but that's okay.

LEGO Dimensions is undoubtedly the most interesting toy to life on the market. We finally have a portal that is part of the game and not only serves to virtualize up to seven minifigures.

With Gathering Storm, Civilization VI gets even richer and turns into a true mastodon of the 4X strategy. However, the "new" diplomacy and the World Congress pay the price of an outdated artificial intelligence that struggles to control all the aspects proposed by the Firaxis game.

Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition tweaks Super Street Fighter IV in a way that only passionate fans can appreciate. Beside the four new charachter there's a completely different balance for old charachters that gives the game a more "rushy" style of play.

Even today, the first trilogy of Sly Cooper has something to say. Unfortunately, the conversion of the first episode is technically a mess.

With Honkai Star Rail, Hoyoverse has shown that its luck is not simple and that the success of its productions is due to the ability of the teams to create experiences that are open to all, able to involve thanks to well-characterized characters and gameplay that keeps glued to the screen. Despite the unoriginal plot and maps with a very rigid structure, the free to play from the creators of Genshin Impact boasts a turn-based combat system that proved to be spot on and some endgame modes that convinced us. It is therefore an excellent starting point that we hope will be supported consistently through the publication of events, characters and missions that keep users interested in the long term.

Pokemon White and Black 2 is not as brilliant as HeartGold and SoulSilver but is one of the best in the series and, undoubtedly, one of the best rpg's on portable consoles.

Skate is getting old. The third chapter uses the same graphical engine of the past edition, and even if the gameplay is still solid, and old time fans will be pleased by the social features, Skate 3 looks like a deep add-on.

All things considered, Avowed is an Action RPG with all the trimmings enhanced by high-quality writing, as well as a solid gameplay recipe and an artistic direction worthy of praise. The gaming experience is not yet at an optimal level of polish, the combat system is not lacking in slightly anachronistic traits and we did not fully appreciate some structural characteristics of the adventure. Yet, Obsidian's title manages to capture the player with a fascinating and cohesive universe, and if you are a fan of the genre or are looking for a journey capable of transporting you to a fantasy world of rare beauty, you may have just found bread for your teeth.

The Saviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City Revisited bundle does everything it needs to. And even more. While far from perfect, the package packaged by Entertainment Inc. offers a couple of dungeon crawler experiences like not seen in some time: the combat system is simple but functional, the story is engaging and exciting, and the setting well thought out and very inspired.

After the disappointing Atelier Marie Remake and the questionable decision by the development team to make the 25th episode of the main series a gacha game for mobile devices, the future of the Atelier series seems uncertain. With Atelier Yumia in particular, Gust Corporation has perhaps taken more risks than it should have, and we believe that not all bets have been won. The new action-style combat system lacks the strategic component and depth that had made us appreciate the Secret Trilogy so much, and even the process of alchemical synthesis seems cumbersome and unsatisfying. The product recovers a few points thanks to the exploration, now richer and more multifaceted than ever, and an engaging narrative plot, as well as characterized by mature themes. Paradoxically, Atelier Yumia could really captivate those who have never frequented the series, while there is the risk that historical fans will struggle to accept the change of direction desired by the Japanese studio and above all the abandonment of the carefree atmosphere that has always differentiated the brand from other JRPGs. Hoping that Atelier Yumia remains an isolated experiment, we await the completely offline episode of Atelier Resleriana also due out in 2025, which at least on the artistic front seems much more promising.

Given the vintage nature of the productions, the only element that can be criticized is the price, but it is true that with just under 40 euros you will take home 6 excellent titles, 2 forgettable experiences, an OAV, hundreds of illustrations and hours of exceptional music. An offer that's really not bad!

With Remnant 2 the developers have not yet found the perfect formula, but they have certainly made good steps forward. Net of a fluctuating artistic direction and some technical defects, this shooter with procedural elements offers a level of replayability that only very few exponents of the genre can boast, to the point of being able to amaze even after several completed games. If you love big challenges, especially in co-op, make it yours.
