Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy gave us positive vibes from the moment we set foot on Milan. A solid gunplay, the importance assigned to the cooperation between the protagonists and the phenomenal script lead us to widely approve Eidos Montréal's fresh and original vision of the precious license of the House of Ideas. However, there are some reserves of a technical and playful nature, accompanied by a fairly limited level of customization. Whether or not you are a die-hard fan of the most ramshackle supergroup in the Multiverse, let yourself be enchanted by the extravagant style and personalities of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and set off with them for the stars.

It's an original experience, one where the quality of the screenplay plays an important role, and the unique atmosphere does the other half of the job. Consider it if you like the genre.

Injustice is a solid and fun fighting game. In this next gen version it has more costumes and all 6 downloadable characters at the same price. So, for every beat'em up fan, is surely a must have.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE has proved to be a surprising game. The gameplay is definitely the most interesting part of it, because it's frantic and really fun. We particularly recommend it to all of JRPG players in general, especially to fans of Persona and the Shin Megami Tensei series.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is certainly not a perfect game, but it is a product that knows how to conquer the audience of fans of the Games Workshop brand. With a story characterized by epic moments and a successful gameplay especially regarding melee combat, the Saber Interactive game is a simply essential purchase for fans of the Ultramarines, also given the richness of the package, which also includes a series of post-launch contents that will arrive completely free.

The Darkness II is not an absolute masterpiece but, with its style and fast paced action, it can conquer so many player's hearts. Cooperative gameplay, in the end, adds a lot of replay value to the product.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are complex and convincing games: a solid plot, a more varied gameplay and a very thoughtfully-created level design are the hallmarks of this new pokémon generation.

If you have never played it, in short, do not be scared by the really higher cost compared to the standards of similar operations: the price / quantity ratio is still in your favor.

The many improvements made to the gameplay show how the developer has paid attention to the main criticisms made by fans, but the desire to extend the package at all costs, forcing users to take hours and hours of negligible content, has finished to dampen the otherwise extraordinary rhythm of the narration, definitively paving the urban myth that sees longevity as a synonym of quality.

This new Modern Warfare is unarguably the best Call of Duty we played in years. Despite some thematic concerns, the game conveys a solid and enjoyable campaing, and one of the most intense multiplayer experience.

Ruthless, smashing and a little haphazard like many of his counterparts, the 2D shooter by Veewo Games and Team17 finds its figure above all in an original dungeon development system and, over distance, capable of following somewhat heterogeneous approaches to the game. It is only regrettable that, in the long run, experience tends to recycle a few situations too much, removing from progression that little bit more freshness that, given today's playful competition, would certainly not have spoiled.

NBA 2K23 best honors the number it carries. The playful offer of the new basketball iteration by 2K and Visual Concepts is sumptuous, both in terms of visual presentation and content offer. Alongside the now classic game modes such as My Career and My Team, we find the experience in the expanded and enriched WNBA, a Mia NBA mode even more layered and structured than in the past, with several new features (such as the Age of Basketball) that fans of the wedge ball will love. The highlight, however, is the return of the Jordan Challenge, which could be worth the price of the ticket alone. With NBA 2K23 the development team confirms the very high simulation level that is now the trademark of the franchise, this year further refined and studied in detail.

Not nearly everything that was promised is present in this first release, and the lack of cooperative feature is sometimes excruciating. On the other hand, this is still one of the best space sims ever created, and one that can reach very, very far, if supported.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty looks like a star that shines at times, suspended between bright peaks of gameplay and technical hiccups. In general, for those who want to test themselves, Team Ninja's latest effort is unmissable, also thanks to its debut on Xbox Game Pass, which will appeal to all subscribers. We are sure that the epic clashes staged in this epic will be able to stimulate you for hours, rewarding your efforts with a solid playful sector, held back only by a few choices born of a conservative mentality. We hope that in the future the collective will decide to abandon some of the stylistic features that distinguish the titles of this genre, so as to be able to take it to the next level definitively, also thanks to the power of the current generation consoles.

Although with a different nature and less fiercely hardcore, Boomerang X reminded me with undisguised enthusiasm that independent gem that goes by the name of Devil Daggers. Also in the debut feature of DANG! it all revolves around fierce, tight-knit gameplay, expertly built around brilliant controls and a fast-paced pace. Massacre legions of creeping blackish monstrosities with exasperated aerial acrobatics on the notes of an exotic oriental soundtrack proves to be a tasty satisfaction: even within its limits (starting with a price threshold of 19.99 € not exactly popular), Boomerang X is only the 'latest in a long series of targets centered by Devolver Digital.
