Soul Calinur V is way better than the fourth chapter, and it finally manages to refresh the series, respecting its own legacy at the same time.

The aesthetic richness and narrative complexity of the universe forged by Games Workshop have transformed what could risk being a "more of the same" experience so familiar but with peculiarities capable of satisfying veterans of strategists. The attention paid by the development team to create environments full of details, from the architecture of the buildings to the style of the infrastructures, competes only with the minutiae that adorn the armor of our knights or the horrifying monstrosities present on the battlefield. The presence of typical elements of XCOM in Daemonhunters should not be seen as a defect but as a basis on which Complex Games has placed an interesting but not perfect mix between new mechanics and more consolidated elements. It is a pity, however, that the numerical gap between knights and demons has negatively affected the pleasantness of the playful mixture, which in specific missions did not manage to shine as we hoped.

With the public's attention clearly directed towards the sequel to Breath of the Wild, the choice to quench the thirst of fans with the revival of one of the most controversial chapters of the series could make this re-release welcome with a certain prejudice. In reality, it is an edition that allows you to experience an adventure unfairly sunk in a new light by questionable design choices already at the time of the original publication. Skyward Sword remains an imperfect title, but this HD version finally manages to do justice to a production that is too often underestimated, making it accessible to a wide audience of gamers who should absolutely not miss the opportunity to discover the origins of the legend of Zelda. An almost mandatory recovery for those who have been struck by Breath of the Wild and equally essential for those who threw in the towel in 2011.

Wasteland 2 is the great cRPG we were waiting for. It isn't innovative and original as its latest competitor Divinty, but it's impressive in terms of screenplay, NPC characterization and art style.

Have a Nice Death is a great Roguelite. The gameplay satisfies the discerning palate, as well as those accustomed to less than forgiving challenges. What the work lacks to really make the leap in definitive quality is greater structural diversification, with a few fewer concessions to redundancy. Only applause instead for the magnificent art direction and for the deadly funny writing. In short, dying has never been so pleasant as in the improbable Death Inc.

Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin confirms itself as a solid and delightful JRPG, as well as a respectful spin-off towards the main series from which it is based.

The small smudges reported up to this point do not compromise the experience as a whole. In the approximately 10 hours of gameplay required for completion, to which another handful is added to complete all the secondary ones left open, Tails of Iron constantly keeps the player's attention high, just like Redgi's shield. We are far from the complexity of a full-fledged souls-like, but the production of Odd Bug represents an engaging, at times exhilarating challenge, which will certainly keep even the most demanding players busy.

Signalis is a survival horror characterized by ingenious and truly stimulating puzzles: solving even just one can give great satisfaction and pushes us to continue the journey of the frightened protagonist, based on a well-finished and fascinating plot. Some game design choices certainly had a negative impact on the pleasure of the second part of the adventure but net of these critical issues Signalis is a good survival horror, which fans of the genre - especially if you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass - should definitely else try.

The Outer Worlds 2 represents both a confirmation and a significant evolution from the previous installment in the series from Obsidian Entertainment, a team that has proven adept at crafting compelling role-playing experiences. The sequel to the original title not only expands the saga's already rich and distinctive universe, but does so with impressive attention to detail and player choice. Sure, the technical side isn't cutting edge, and there's still plenty of room for improvement in some aspects, like combat. However, The Outer Worlds 2 is one of the most complete and engaging RPGs of recent years, which is why it will captivate anyone who loves the genre and its captivating sci-fi setting.

An abundant playful offer (with lots of battle royale) but reasoned, combined with a first-rate technical realization that provides the player with all the tools to personalize the game experience according to their tastes, they are just some of the winning cards on which can count the portable reduction of the famous franchise.

The last Hexage title is unexpectedly original. It is able not only to decline precisely and clean scrolling beat em up dynamics, but to mix them with a (unexpected) sprinkling of shoot'em up and a very simple but solid GDR structure. Absolutely worth the free try since level 10.

Ultros is an essential experience not only for lovers of the metroidvania genre, but for anyone looking for a work with spirit and character. He doesn't claim to reinvent anything and consciously chooses to do little, doing it well. As the credits rolled, we moved away from the screen aware of the fact that something inside us had left the game. Or rather, sown.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a simple remaster, but the three games that comprise it have stood the test of time quite well. The gameplay is still immediate today, the puzzles, riddles and cases to solve are stimulating but not frustrating, and the updated mechanics for the new platforms work well. We already knew the plots, they are mysterious enough and all the characters, not just the protagonists, are well characterized. Graphically, then, it is incredible to see all the models and animations in high definition, the "Objections!" and the expressions of both 3D models and the more classic flat illustrations. It's just a shame for the lack of localization in Italian and for the extras, which are poorly looked after and rather banal. It may seem like a small deficiency, but having them or not makes a lot of difference, especially for those who have already picked through the original chapters several times.

Despite the frenetic action combat system and the exquisite tactical component represented by the introduction of the cute Cioffi, already in 2018 Ni no Kuni 2: The Destiny of a Kingdom could not fully convince us, due to a cloying and excessively childish story , which among other things entrusted downloadable content with the fundamental task of answering the most interesting questions that remained pending. Including both the base game and its DLCs, the Switch version has at least partially remedied the "shortcomings" of the original version, the only pity that on the hybrid the product is affected by technical problems that are difficult to ignore. Ultimately, the future of the kingdom continues to look anything but rosy.

Despite the desire to renew, F1 25 fits coherently into the path traced by the previous chapters of the series and this is not necessarily a bad thing. Despite the many new features announced and a renewed commitment to the presentation of the career mode, the overall experience remains in line with what has already been seen in recent years. The game mechanics are familiar, the driving model is similar to that of the latest iterations of the brand and the general rhythm of the seasons faithfully follows the consolidated one. The innovations introduced - such as My Team 2.0, the technical restructuring and the new chapter of Braking Point - enrich the package, but do not significantly revolutionize the structure of the game. The result is a solid and complete title, which offers many things to do for a credible and deep experience, but without representing a real break from the past. F1 25 therefore confirms itself as a controlled evolution, rather than a revolution, designed not to disappoint those who play the series continuously and appreciate its now well-established formula.
