With its fun gameplay and an amazing charisma for standing out, Overwatch is the best candidate for the “best competitive FPS” title this year. Blizzard has done a gorgeous job working on this title, creating a shiny box full of a deep and interesting lore, an outstanding design and tons of fun.

TASTEE: Lethal Tactics is a perfect upgrade of already consolidated mechanics. It doesn’t offer major innovations, but its cartoonish graphics and characters’ unique abilities give it a unique twist.

Total War Warhammer is a classic Total War game with some magic, heroes and monsters. It offers few factions to play with and needs a more sophisticated interface to help the newcomers into the series.

A farm simulator that’s both simple and smart, with game mechanics and features taken from other popular games and genres. One of the best indie games to date.

Blend a setting which reminds True Detective with the atmospheres of Twin Peaks and the results will be Kathy Rain, a well-written and intriguing point-and-click adventure that proves the incredible talent of Joel Staaf Hästö, the solo developer of Clifftop Games.

We love videogames but what are the difficulties that every developer must overcome in order to deliver their creation? The Magic Circle is a funny and smart adventure which shows the backstage of the realization of a game providing a well-written plot and an original, though not perfect, gameplay.

Valkyria Chronicles Remaster is basically the PC version of the game, running on PlayStation 4. The cutscenes still have the big aliasing issue, but all the other scenes in the game run with gorgeous 1080p and 60fps graphics. The gameplay is still as solid and entertaining as always. If you own a PS4 but no PC or PS3, give this awesome strategic game a try.

Stellaris is a wonderful game that perfectly blends 4X with Paradox' flagship strategic staples. Empire management is approachable yet deep and rewarding, and if it feels a bit lacking it just means you had too much EUIV or CK2.

Sheltered offers a solid experience that all fans of the genre will surely love. Unfortunately a certain repetitiveness in the difficulties to deal with, mortify the ambitions of a game that is still fun and challenging.

Ashes of the Singularity is an RTS that dares to do things differently and mostly succeeds. Spectacular, yet deep and interesting, the experience is only marred by a subpar single-player campaign and some quibbles in the user interface.

Battleborn is a game easy to approch, but rich of long term content. Gearbox combined a Team Fortress 2-like frenzy with a free-to-play MOBA sheer content and variables, and the result, ultimately, is a fun game.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is simply amazing. Naughty Dog has done an incredible job with the last chapter of this epic franchise, creating a deep, emotional and entertaining experience for both the movies and video games addicted. If you have a PlayStation 4, buy this game and live a gorgeous adventure around the world.

Fire Emblem Conquest is the evolution of Fire Emblem heritage. Deep, beautiful but hard, this game is developed for those who have been playing the series from the beginning.

Fire Emblem Fates Birthright is the sequel Awakening fans are waiting for. It's a more linear and easier experience than Conquest, but still a beautiful and deep mix between a RPG and turn-based strategic game.

OPUS: The Day We Found Earth is a simple game clearly designed for mobile devices. It has some interesting ideas plot-wise and a very good character design but the gameplay is too simplistic and repetitive to prove itself really enjoyable.

The Walking Dead Michonne isn’t a bad game, but it’s too similar to the other titles of the series. We need new narrative solutions, a new game engine and a smarter storytelling to bring again The Walking Dead on the top of the videogames market.

DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark is a standalone survival horror game that takes place in the DreadOut universe. If offers 8 haunted realms to explore and 13 brand new specters to defeat. This game is very scary and old school survival horror fans will love it. Puzzles are very hard to figure out and it won’t be easy to banish all the ghosts. Music is very well merged with the scary gameplay, though graphics seem a bit outdated.

Final Fantasy IX finally comes to PC after 16 years through an enhanced and remastered edition. This game is an absolute gem and one of the best episodes in the series. If you could not play the original version this is your chance to immerse yourself in one of the most emotional games ever created. We have to say that even if the port is well made, all the background images did not receive any resolution boost, and they appear blurry in comparison to the updated 3D textures.
