Sonic Colours embraces everything a SEGA fan could ever hope for or dream. Platforming has rarely been so fun and engaging.

Bangai-o HD: Missile Fury is the best version of the Treasure classic. The combination of perfect controls and awesome gameplay creates a fantastic experience for every hardcore gamers out there. The lack of the offline multiplayer and the problems of the net-code during the online co-op are a shame, and partially ruin this masterpiece.

Grid Autosport is a good racing game but recycles too many content from Grid 2 to shine as a new must-have installment of the series.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is a huge step backward for this popular franchise. After the great Campaign Mode in Black Ops II, the simple 5-hour long Campaign of Ghosts is a shame. The Extinction mode alone could sell the game, but the overall competitive multiplayer experience isn't as good as the one we loved in the last episode from Treyarch.

Solar Ash, the second work of Heart Machine, is an artistically stunning game with a pleasant and fun movement system that will captivate you from the very first moments to the end. Too bad that the combat has not enjoyed the same care and presents a level of challenge that may seem far too low.

In Sound Mind is a fun psychological horror that takes too much inspiration from other horror videogames. The gameplay, while simple, only engages in the last part of the experience. It remains a pleasant title to play.

A standard episode that shine only for the good characterization and the last couple of minutes that introduces an explosive season ending.

The first morsel of Curse of Naxxramas is an all-important addition to a stellar game that cannot be missed. Unfortunately it's also very short in actual content.

Creepy and beautiful at the same time, Little Nightmares is a great adventure in a strange world. An atmospheric puzzle-platform with stealth and horror elements which is a great addition in a sub-genre dominated by Playdead's Limbo and Inside.

Codemasters has done a good job upgrading its already awesome Grid racing game. Grid 2 is a good example of how to improve a great project. The Live Routes races are really fun and can dramatically change the way a player approach every single track.

The differences compared to the edition for PlayStation 3 are minimal. Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea is a good RPG for PS Vita, not particularly memorable, but still fun.

El Shaddai is so unique that it is hard to find something similar in the modern market. The incredible combination of a stunning style, a great combat system and a crazy storyline create a superb cocktail. This is not the typical million seller, but any hardcore player should buy it.

Another Mario entry in the everlasting Nintendo series. This time there's nothing really new but the same good-old-fashioned Nintendo gameplay… a little bit on the short-side, unfortunately.

Dead Rising 3 is a fun but uninventive sequel that adds little to its predecessors' formula and certainly doesn't represent a true “next-gen” experience. Maybe it's time for Capcom to let the dead rest in peace, at least for a while.

Warband is an exciting experience, that will really make you believe to be "inside" this game. At the beginning it can be disorienting, but its force is in its possibilities. Many hours of gameplay await you in this game, with an axe and an horse.

An excellent point of convergence between an adventure, a puzzle game and a platformer, Rime is a visually stunning and memorable experience through a young boys's eyes. A story with some great twists which go beyond the appearances.

A good game that thanks to the Wii Motion Plus becomes an unforgettable playing experience both for casual gamers and tennis fans. EA Sports did it again!

Call of the Sea continues the tradition that sees the indie industry as a tireless forge of often unmissable gems and does so by moving beyond pure genres and also playing on contrasts. That contrast that perhaps pushes Norah to find comfort in an unknown so unfathomable and surreal as to be frighteningly fascinating.

The Resurgence Pack is a nice DLC, but it suffers the same problem as the previous Map Pack: 1200 Microsoft Points are a really high price to pay for 5 maps, 2 of them coming back from the first Modern Warfare. Anyway, the developers did a great job, and the design of the new maps is awesome. If you really love this game, buy the DLC and have fun.

Ride 4 is the definitive motorcycle title, confirming Milestone's talent that has learned from its mistakes. Despite some uncertainties, the fourth chapter will manage to hit the hearts of the players.

Dead Space 3 is a victim of the EA bizarre marketing strategy. The game is still a Survival Horror, with extra action in co-op multiplayer games. Visceral Games does a great job, adding new ideas (the weapon crafting system is perfect) to a still-young franchise.

Despite a fascinating concept and an undoubted strategic deepness, the console versions of R.U.S.E. fail to deliver a fully satisfying gaming experience for both fans and newcomers to the genre due to some gameplay flaws and some questionable decisions made by the developers.

Galak-Z is a spectacular and fun shooter that perfectly mimics the mecha anime genre. Conceived to be a tough roguelike challenge, the game delivers an interesting gameplay mix of spaceship and mech combat.

Per Aspera is a very interesting colony builder narrative game that has a stellar esthetic, a very engaging story and a super cast of actors. The gameplay is fluid, rewarding and rich of surprises and references to cool tech (both fictional and kinda realistic). If you like the genre and the setting you will have a blast.

Tinykin is a very simple game and this is its strong point. Intuitive and fun, the new Splashteams’ title is one of the most successful platformers in the recent times.

Five Nights at Freddy’s presents an interesting concept to the player, and tries a different approach to the genre other than the usual asylum, graveyard and ghost town. The PlayStation 4 porting of Outlast has nothing to envy to the PC version: graphics, immersion and controls are the same we’ve already seen last September, and now we can’t wait to play the DLC-prequel coming later this year.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture immerses the player into a catching mystery that swiftly swings from anxiety to curiosity, while asking to explore a beautiful setting in order to unravel what happened in a small English town where everybody disappeared.

The latest edition of Pro Evolution Soccer tries to show something new but, in the end, there are no major improvements. The 'new engine' looks the same as the one of the past edition, while many animations that were to be fixed since ages are unfortunately still there. The only interesting options are the new 'sliding' tactics and the skill cards to apply to each player. In the end it's a good soccer game, but FIFA 10 is on an upper level.

FIFA has changed its face. It's bigger, more realistic, and more jaw-dropping than ever before but it seems to have left behind one important factor: fun.

The Annihilation Pack is a very good DLC created for Call of Duty: Black Ops. The lack of interactive elements in the new levels is a step backward for this game (remember the zip-lines in Kowloon or the elevators in Hotel or the deadly turrets in Berlin Wall?). Anyway, the DLC is a great addiction for most of the hardcore Call of Duty supporters.

Not only Teslagrad is one of the best independent games available for PlayStation 4, but also the perfect start for the neo-Norwegian studio Rain Games. A must have for any puzzle/adventure lover.

Even if the third installment in the MXGP series still presents some flaws – which we think will be addressed in the near future – the outstanding improvements made by Milestone in comparison with previous titles can not go unnoticed. As of today, it certainly is the best game of its genre.

Probably not good enough for the Hall of Fame, but this first PS4 outing is an excellent social-oriented update for the series.

Legendary Gary is a blast, an original and unique adventure with a delightful art style and a fantastic soundtrack. A somewhat legendary story of an ordinary man who tries to find his path in this strange, cold but also beautiful world.

Atomicrops is a frantic mix of roguelite and tower defense gameplays. It has a wonderful pixel-art and a nice, fitting soundtrack. It is a solid game, but the farming-sim gameplay fragments the exploration and jam its potential.

A beautifully crafted, atmospheric, story-driven puzzle platformer that follows three characters in a short, yet unforgettable battle against human weaknesses.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is a remastered collection of the best entries in the series. It does not mess too much with the formula, pleasing both old fans with elements like galleries, unlockables and new modes, and young newcomers through the addiction of gameplay aids that broaden game’s accessibility.

A nice variation of the classic tower defense formula, with frenetic and interesting fights and lots of customization and modes on offer.

A fascinating and dark tale mixed with stealth/survival gameplay elements. With a little bit extra it could have been one of the best horror games of 2017.

ExciteBots is a genuine and funny game, absolutely fresh and unusual in its nature of half racing game and half hardcore party game. The choice of Nintendo of not supporting such a particular product makes Nintendo itself double guilty, thinking about the sad destiny of ths great game. Lovers of arcade can't appreciate something special, because of marketing strategies and missing logic. Nintendo of Europe, let us hear your voice!

Kokuga is completely different from Ikaruga on both gameplay and design sides. The tactical approach to every single mission is interesting enough to keep capturing players' attention. Sadly, the lack of an online multiplayer mode is a big mistake from G. Rev.

Republique Remastered is a short but well crafted stealth experience, originally developed for iOS and now available for PC and Mac. A good story and a polished gameplay are definitely on the plus side, but this remastered edition fails in offering something new, and is suggested only to those at their first encounter with the game.

The Wii version of Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands is better than the PS3 or 360 versions. The game has its own style, and offers very good ideas to play with. The original powers the Prince can use during his journey grant to the player an entertaining and fantastic experience.

Sonic Generations is the simplest solution to give new vitality to an almost dead franchise.

Nintendo Land is something that goes beyond the simple teaching of the new features of the console and the controller. It makes you want to go on with the next attraction. It's a title that will give you much more than just one night with friends, in fact, you'll probably enjoy it better on your own. Too bad for some recycled mechanics and for some attractions less successful than others.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix offers a wide look at the first chapters of the series and, even if the collection doesn’t cover the whole saga, it’s worth playing. Nevertheless the lack of extra content makes the game mostly directed to those that haven’t played the saga yet and want to catch up.

40 euros for two of the best action games of the past generation is a fair price if you missed them the first time around. Well, there's also Devil May Cry 2 but... who cares?

Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing is a great copy of Mario Kart. It's atmosphere is really nice, and you'll love to play this game with your friends. The level design is good enough, and the 60 missions grant a good longevity even in single player.

Mafia II maintains the high standards of its predecessor but it lacks in giving a real sensation of freedom. Driving sections are good and graphics are among the best around, but they don't help the game to reach the top of its genre. Yet, it's still an offer we suggest you to accept.

Finally EA MMA walks on the ring to fight against it's rival, UFC Undisputed. The game is really good but the lack of the UFC license is a huge limitation for the most hardcore fighting fans. Anyway, the game is smooth and based on a simple but deep command system.

Another bunch of good-old games from Capcom. Most of the 32 titles included in this 2nd Stadium have already been published in other collections so think about it only if you're an hardcore fan of the “Big C”... or purchase the preferred ones as single purchases.

Bridge Constructor Portal proves to be a very amusing engineering game in which to exploit physics and gravity to help the Bendies find the exit.

Life Goes On: Done to Death is a funny and enjoyable puzzle/platformer which offers some interesting challenges to solve and a mysterious, furry bud to find.

Through its landscapes, its silences and its curious inhabitants, the universe of No Man's Sky delivers an important message in the hands of the player: the journey itself is more important than the destination itself.

Distant Worlds 2 is following its predecessor’s footsteps providing us a vast and enormous 4X space sim, with more options and customization than ever. The inclusion of the ship editor is very good and adds depth (if it ever needed more) to a title that can and will be daunting for many. The inclusion of an option to delegate major parts of the gameplay to the AI is refreshing but is too tempting, and could reduce the entire game to a click simulator where all we do is to accept the AI suggestions.

Shank 2 has simply improved every aspect of the first chapter that there was to improve. Visuals, combat system... everything looks great and better, but it's still a bit too short and a bit too repetitive.

It's not a game for everyone but it's simply the best war simulation available. Deep gameplay, tons of stuff to do. Go buy it.

The PS4 version of Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is a great news for the fighting game community. Marvel’s community is still alive, and now every player can get his complete copy of the game for a good price.

Despite the lack of innovation, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is a great arcade game just like its predecessor.

Your Shape 2012 is just a simple update of the previous entry in the series, with a better UI and a few new activities. Go for it if you don't have the 2011 edition and want to burn some calories in your living room.

Only the next generation of consoles will give Codemasters the chance to overcome the technical issues of the last four F1 games. Anyway, this 2013 version is a good improvement over the 2012 entry that can provide F1 fans with endless hours of racing fun.

I Am Dead is a little wonderful tale which goes beyond the concept of death embracing love and the wonderful mementos of the persons who left us. The core mechanics are smart and well executed and despite the lack of a well needed variety this is another unique game from Annapurna Interactive.

Final Fantasy IV celebrates his 20th birthday with this gorgeous collection, that includes a "new look version" of the original game, The After Years sequel, a new section called Interlude and a lot of bonus materials that will drive you crazy.

A big surprise, Conquistadores is an intelligent mix, capable of presenting a good moral system inside an nice adventure. Another good game from Kickstarter.

Othercide is a tactical game with a lot of new and interesting ideas. The grinding involved is unfortunately too much and not always fair; together with the badly designed UI makes for a very stressing and fatiguing experience.

Modern Warfare II is not as courageous as the previous one nor as revolutionary but it is still a fun, galvanizing and filled in content war FPS, enriched by a technical realization of absolute value.

Movies and videogames merge in an extremely interesting title which uses the lack of dialogue as a storytelling key point. Virginia is a story that pays a tribute to (and is inspired by) masterpieces like True Detective, The X-Files and Twin Peaks and manages to hold up in front of these great stories.

While not being able to romantically replace the sleepless nights with friends, sitting around a table or on the floor and armed with paper, pens,dice, snacks and carbonated drinks harmful to health, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is one of the modern videogame experiences more akin a paper role-playing campaign, hands down.

Although its artistic and visual merits are unquestionable, Shadows of the Damned's gameplay flaws reduce the experience's quality much more than expected.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is a clear-cut attempt to spark its longing, longtime fans’ excitement as well as gaining new ones. Are you ready to get back to Vvardenfell and 2002 to the places that left us spellbound ever since?

The Wii version of Project Zero 2 has a good number of interesting changes, but the new control system spoils a quite solid experience. This creepy survival horror aged in a great way and if you'll be able to survive to the Wiimote/Nunchuk combo, you'll have a very good and scary experience.

Despite some evident flaws in the combat sections, Figment is a delightful puzzle adventure which dealt with some serious topic through an inspired light-hearted approach. Kind of a mixture of videogame, musical and a great animated movie.

A fun, action packed game based on the famous Dragon Quest saga. With awesome monsters and characters, a fighting system which is both easy and very complex, an intriguing story and a rich set of RPG features, this is a game that fans of JRPG and/or action games will enjoy for many hours.

Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Tuono e Fiamma has nothing more than the previous chapters of the popular series for the Nintendo 3DS, but its story is good enough to support more matches with the same, old, mechanics. If you love this franchise, you’ll find all you need to have fun with your Nintendo console.

Although Zeta Squad doesn't compare to Delta Squad in both attitude and personality, Raam's Shadow manages to deliver a fast paced, action packed experience that will surely please both fans and newcomers to the franchise.
