    It's too violent for children, too juvenile for adults and too short to warrant a purchase. Fans of repetition or the beat-em-up genre may be interested, but the game is likely to disappoint-even as a rental.

    This camera adds an unwelcome degree of challenge to the game based simply on its poor design. Now, I am all for a challenging game, but I draw the line when this challenge is based in frustration over a game's inherent flaws.

    While the story is reasonably intriguing throughout the first part of the game, it becomes a jumbled mess in the later stages, and then completely falls apart in the end. It’s also a bit on the short side – the average gamer can expect to play through it in just a few hours, and there’s zero replayability.

    I don't know why SNK Playmore put so little effort into SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom. When compared to so many of the other fighting games they have developed and produced, and also Capcom's line of fighters, this easily becomes the low point of 2D fighting in recent years.

    This brings me to my main complaint about the game: the ridiculous level of difficulty. Even on easy mode, the CPU will trounce you, and there's almost nothing you can do about it. This is due, in part, to the highly aggressive AI, but it's mostly the game's weak interface and awkward gameplay mechanics that hinder you.

    Not only did EA fail to put in any significant new features; not only did they serve up a plate of castrated game features; not only has the core gameplay taken several measurable steps backwards for the genre, but the graphics, conceivably the most basic measure of the game’s prospective success, are not only unimpressive, but buggy, distorted, and ugly.
