Game InformerStrikes a great balance between simplicity and flexibility. [Dec 2005, p.165]
-
A very good start for EA with this franchise, as they tuned up the sim, tuned down the arcade, and created a nice cushion to bounce off for future titles.
-
For those wanting a fully featured franchise experience (with club teams) and a better set of online options, waiting for "FIFA 2007" might be the way to go.
-
My biggest complaint about FIFA is its name. It simply isn’t a FIFA game, it should simply be called World Cup 06 or something that accurately describes it and distinguishes it from the game that EA wants you to believe it is when you’re buying it.
-
Inferior to its Xbox counterpart in just about every way imaginable, and is undoubtedly one of the most disappointing games available for Microsoft's new console at launch.
-
Unless you’ve got an urgent need to launder $60, there’s not a single reason to go out and buy FIFA 06 for the Xbox 360. Go out and by the far superior (and cheaper) FIFA 06 for the PS2 or Xbox – both versions are excellent.
-
Let it be made perfectly clear, FIFA 06: Road to the World Cup is the Xbox 360’s turkey.
