Once seen to completion, Rule of Rose is unquestionably memorable, but as a game it comes well short of current expectations.

Taken on its own, the game is not all that inspiring, and when compared with other RPGs, it is somewhat boring and tends to wear out its welcome long before the final confrontation.

Stripped of its license, Avatar would be easily dismissed as yet another run of the mill hack-and-slash action RPG, but given the game's at least competent portrayal of the series, this is certainly a game that fans of the television show could enjoy, gripes notwithstanding.

Save for a very few highlights, this is a rather soulless game that will bore even the younger gamers whom it has obviously been made to entertain.

If topless girls are your thing and you can ignore the flagrant bugs and lack of content, then go for it. Everyone else, go back to the Sims.

There’s a lot of fun to be had in Bionicle Heroes, and the price is definitely right, but ultimately this is a game you should be picking up for your kid brother for Christmas, and not for yourself. It’s a game that’s great at what it does, but put against the Gears of Wars of the world, doesn’t pass muster.

It's just so painfully average that its few big problems (i.e., random maps and questionable controls) really drag down the entire product.

It plays the role of an updated "Final Fight" clone quite well, but the lion’s share of today’s gamers demand a little more depth for their hard earned money.

Monster House looks good and sounds good, and combined with THQ’s attention to the film, the game has atmosphere in spades. That’s the real selling point of the title.

Players looking for the Rush series they grew up on in the arcades will come away disappointed at this game's inability to offer consistent high flying races, while fans of games like "Midnight Club 3" who are looking for the next big underground racing game will no doubt find Rush's take on the subgenre amateurish at best.

Something of a disappointment. Players hoping for an expanded, polished version of it's odd (but strangely beguiling) 2002 predecessor have instead been handed a bland, dated game with an extremely creaky plot and a near-broken combat system.

Its core gameplay needs a lot of tweaking to be as fluid and approachable as I think they want it to be, they need to smooth out the animations to make the game look and feel more realistic, and they could probably do well to expand the multiplayer options to boot.

The characters and environments are all but devoid of personality, and even fans of the television program will be left wondering what has been done to suck all of the life out of such a great series.

A few bosses, a few graphical tricks, and the game is over in about 2-3 hours.

For a game based on a movie (based on a set of children's stories), Curious George is more than adequate. While it stumbles here and there in terms of gameplay, the game will nonetheless appeal to those younger players with an itch to play as an animated monkey.

This game is terribly flawed, but it has really pretty graphics, excellent voice acting, and great sound. I tried to like this game. I really did. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't. I suffered through the cliched puzzles, game-killing bugs, and constant crashing, because the story is actually fairly interesting.

Over The Hedge's quality ranges from decidedly below average to outright terrible, and you can almost hear the executives at DreamWorks and Activision trying to squeeze every cent out of the license instead of making an entertaining game.

With a bit of polish, and a smoother targeting system closer to that in titles such as "God of War," Samurai Western could have been a joy to play. Unfortunately, Atlus provided a game which is a bug-ridden and frustrating experience.

Shellshock doesn’t amount to much more than six or seven hours of gameplay. It’s over almost as soon as it began which, depending on how much you paid for it, might be a good thing.

Drakengard 2, instead of improving on the original, nullified the weapons system, replaced an interesting hero with an unoriginal cookie-cutter protagonist, and managed to make what should have been a fun game - Dynasty Warriors mixed with Panzer Dragoon Orta - tedious and boring.

The game emphasizes role-playing over subscribing to the underlying story, and that is what makes Romancing SaGa such a terrific experience to be had.

While the story is reasonably intriguing throughout the first part of the game, it becomes a jumbled mess in the later stages, and then completely falls apart in the end. It’s also a bit on the short side – the average gamer can expect to play through it in just a few hours, and there’s zero replayability.
