The leveling system, different classes, and questing are all really fun elements that make Fantasy Life a role-playing game worth checking out. But be ready for an uninteresting, wordy, and overbearing story that gets in the way of the fun that the title does offer.

If you played through the campaign in Age of Wonders III and you are looking to get a jolt of fresh energy out of the game, then the Golden Realms expansion should have what you are looking for.

Alien: Isolation represents a strong return to form for an ailing franchise.

Under the right set of circumstances, though, the game can be fun thanks to its varied classes and trolling-heavy metagame. Shooting the food with three friends can still be a great time, but you’ll have to temper your expectations.

There isn’t much in terms of actual content, and the developer promises to patch this in at a later date, but I can’t help but feel the game could have done with a few more months in Early Access.

Sunset Overdrive is the definition of the word “fun.” Insomniac has created something special here. The hilarious plot, unique gameplay, stunning art style and massive, explorable world translate to an unforgettable journey into Insomniac’s not-so-serious apocalypse.

As a hidden object game, this will definitely appeal to casual gamers and puzzle enthusiasts, although the story and overall premise may turn off a hard-core audience.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus brought a lot of change to the series by integrating a 3D world into the experience. Many of the old problems that were previously seen in Burst are still present however, including things like repetition and performance issues.

The easier difficulties might be a bit too easy for some but I found hard to be a challenge. Like I said previously, the game does start off a little slow. But if you give it time, you just may catch the fever.

In short, it’s a more interesting, more fully-fleshed out extension of Battleship.

Even the plot, which is initially intriguing, will likely disappoint by its conclusion, when it becomes apparent that the game is only interested in telling about half of it. In this age of the AAA blockbuster, games as personal projects are always welcome, but, as this one demonstrates, there’s a reason games are usually created by more than one person.

Honestly, there is little bad I can say about Qbeh-1. In a try-hard industry of pretentious or sloppy writing and presentation, Qbeh-1 teaches us that it’s sometimes okay to just be a game and nothing else. If you like challenging puzzles and enjoy a fun meditative zen aesthetic, get this game – it’s worth your time.

It was a very short, yet replayable game. For people who miss the days of the old school point-and-click adventure and more text heavy games, this is definitely one worth checking out.

If you love a good dual joystick shooter then Crimsonland is the best choice on the Vita. The biggest problems are simply the lack of visual variety and the Vita’s own issue with joystick precision, but other than that Crimsonland is a game well worth the price of admission.

As with most puzzle games, Chucks Challenge 3D won’t necessarily appeal to the hard-core demographic, but there’s no doubt that Niffler has succeeded in rebooting a much loved classic of yesteryear, proving that the concept of crowd funded gaming is here to stay.

With the exception of the mines being slower and more frustrating and disconnected than the rest of the game, the only thing you’d want out of Ethan Carter is more story and a few more mechanics to keep you coming back for more.

The beautiful setting and sensational visuals are one thing, but when you mix it in with heart-pounding races, an extensive car list, intense competitive online play, and a vast explorable world, it all translates to Horizon 2 being the cream of the crop in the genre and the best in its class.
