The game offers five endings but I’m sure most players will not even see one, because The Technomancer is disappointingly shallow, confined and devoid of passion. [09/2016, p.42]

A solid oldschool point'n'click game but its visuals are so poor, that even older than dirt Day of the Tentacle kicks Da New Guys' butt. [May 2012, p.65]

It’s not an awful game but you’ll be noticing untapped potential every step of the way. The Olympic Games deserve a good official game, but they’ll have to wait longer for it. [09/2021, p.62]

The developers clearly had ambitions to create an interesting game, but something was lacking. Skills? Money? Time? Whatever the reason, Chornobyl Liquidators turned out to be quite a disappointment even though I approached it with moderate expectations. Pretty much nothing in this game fits together and every gameplay element falls short in some way.

For a series that lets you experience how time-consuming agriculture can be, Farming Simulator 23: Nintendo Switch Edition works surprisingly well in short sessions. However, I can’t recommend it unconditionally in good conscience, because to enjoy it, you need to turn a blind eye to the questionable technical state it was released in. If you’re willing to look past its below-par graphics, poor optimization and less-than-ideal controls, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy it.

Speaking Simulator is hilarious and well written. The game’s mechanisms constantly evolve and the whole thing is short enough just not get tedious – except for maybe a bit of the grind at the very end. [04/2020, p.78]

Perceptions mechanics successfully imitate the feeling of being lost in an unfamiliar place as a blind person, but in my opinion the developers sacrificed too much in terms of gameplay to achieve that feeling. [08/2017, p.59]

A textbook example of wasted potential. Again! If someone woke me up in the middle of the night and asked about the differences between the original APB and Reloaded I'd mention only two things. 'Civilians' got some new animations and the game went free-to-play. It's not enough for a relaunch. [February 2012, p.54]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III lost the chance to be great when Activision Blizzard decided to turn a DLC for the previous installment into a stand-alone title. As a result, Sledgehammer didn’t have enough time to properly polish the game, and that took a heavy toll across the board, from the absolutely deplorable story campaign to the disappointing Zombie mode to the multiplayer.

Sonic Forces’ few merits (like the soundtrack) are not enough to offset primitive gameplay, crude level design, poor pacing that completely obliterates the sense of speed, and the script that resembles a fanfic. [01/2018, p.42]

Ranko is pure absurdity and represents the style of current Japanese pop culture very well. Unfortunately it’s also a rather weak game that you will be done with after 1,5 hours. It might look great and burst with crazy ideas but there is simply no reason to come back to it or honestly recommend it. [08/2014, p.62]

There is potential in Bound by Flame but I can’t review this game without using some harsh words. It’s linear and clichéd, combat should be better and many elements could be more complex. Still I believe that with more money, people and time Spiders would be able to play in the major league. [07/2014, p.54]

The problem is not that Breakpoint is boring, has uninteresting story, lots of irritating bugs and the least intelligent enemies in video game history. It is the fact that the newest Ubisoft shooter lacks its own identity. [12/2019, p.38]

I found Ghost Warrior 3 to be better as a whole than the quality of its components suggested. Of course the game should’ve been more polished at launch, but I still had surprisingly good time with it thanks to its well-designed open world, a satisfying weapons system and a fairly high degree of freedom in choosing ways to complete missions. The story in the new Dragon Ball game is chopped up and very chaotic so you will get lost if you don't know the TV series very well. Fights get boring after a while and the load times are annoying. It was fun to play but as a fan of the original anime I was lenient to some degree. [February 2012, p.58]

While the base game attracted players with the vastness of space, this add-on narrows down the scale and has you complete missions on foot. Sadly, this pretty exciting idea was executed poorly. New tools (e.g. blowtorches and scanners), cool planetary facilities, and procedurally generated missions won’t prevent you from being swamp with repetitive tasks and samey visuals. Additionally, Odyssey is unstable and poorly optimized. [08/2021, p.67]

It’s not a new Rayman or even half of Ratchet & Clank. Kids should not burst our crying if you give them Zack Zero to play but why would you do that if there is plenty of other, better platformers? [CD-Action 08/2013, p.85]

Although it might look like a Dead Space’s relative, Dolmen is more of a low-budget mix of Returnal and The Surge. Everything it does decently, it borrowed from other games with very little original input. Dolmen is simply late to the party and with competition so strong and numerous, seems unnecessary. I can recommend it only to the most famished soulslike fans if they can get it at a significantly reduced price.
