No More Heroes plays with conventions and puts you on a crazy roller coaster with no safety features. Just like every Grasshopper Manufacture’s game, it’s charmingly absurd, but sadly fails in many gameplay aspects. [09/2021, p.32]

Of Ash and Steel aspires to be a juicy gothiclike product, but numerous bugs and flaws test the player's patience. A lot of work still needs to be done here to make it enjoyable to play.

All the game’s activities are painfully repetitive and simply dull. There is educational value in it and the kids should have a good time getting to know the bee world, sure, but the rest is very so-so. [01/2020, p.66]

Wherever you turn you see evidence that it’s a mobile game ported to PC – it’s sluggish, not very exciting, the visuals are dated and the interface should have been completely redone to fit mouse instead of touchscreen. [02/2015, p.61]

The gameplay covers the basics and not much more. It’s a colourful but visually simplified game; offers a slightly engaging and quite repetitive gameplay. [01/2020, p.73]

Due to unreliable scripts and other technical issues, bland and chaotic storytelling and stupid AI I played Warfighter strictly out of obligation and not for fun. Decent (but unbalanced) multiplayer is not enough to put other label than 'mediocre' on a game that was supposed to be a major hit. [13/2012, p.36]

Everything in the game is unpolished and once again there is absolutely nothing interesting storywise; no mystery and no lead concept that would let the players explore the world by themselves. It’s the same level design, same designers’ tricks and the same sub-par balance which I know all too well form the previous games. [01/2020, p.76]

As a Suda51’s game Black Knight Sword had to be odd. The problem is that its weirdness feels forced and the gameplay itself is very simple. [CD-Action 02/2013, p.49]

Visuals are A Bird Story’s biggest strength, and as far as the story goes... Well, I simply don’t know why someone decided it’s worth sharing with me. [01/2015, p.73]

Distance’s biggest strength is its editor which let fans create tracks much more thrilling than those designed by the developers. Chaining showy stunts can be exciting but that does not matter much if the game itself gets boring after two, maybe three hours. [12/2018, p.70]

There’s no doubt that Dragon’s Lair deserves its place in the hall of fame, but today it’s just a colorful postcard sent from a dead end of video game evolution. It’s still fun to watch (especially Time Warp, which is brilliant as an animated short film), but a chore to play. [03/2018, p.57]

Redfall’s design is disappointingly safe and the whole thing is painfully unpolished. It’s a patchwork that draws inspiration from multiple games, but does it ineptly. Many of Redfall’s elements feel unfinished, ill-considered or deliberately pushed aside as if acknowledged as unnecessary by the developers. The game will not surprise you in any way, but there’s a good chance it will annoy you with generic quests, laughable AI, repetitive gameplay and botched optimization. I definitely did not expect something like this from the studio that gave us Dishonored.
