After ten years Legend of Kay returns with higher resolution, new character models, sharper textures and all the flaws that caused us to forget Kay while we still remember Jak & Daxter, Sly and Ratchet & Clank. [10/2015, p.69]

AI posed a challenge in the first couple of battles only (until I memorized the maps) and I was unable to prove myself in multiplayer because there was no one to play against. [10/2015, p.72]

Unique Burtonesque art direction could not avert my attention from the fact that Little Nightmares is one of the poorest platformers I’ve played in years. [07/2017, p.43]

I appreciated The Shore’s Lovecraftian atmosphere and the fact that it tried to be something more than a Dear Esther’s clone. Sadly, the game is just not good enough and proves that even two hours (or less, because you can finish The Shore quicker) can be enough to bore and frustrate the player. [05/2021, p.37]

Almost half of the teams are unlicensed (including Ukraine – Euro 2012 co-host!), the game lacks atmosphere and real excitement and the new single player Expedition mode feels forced and would work better with clubs in normal FIFA 12. A big disappointment, especially at this price. [June 2012, p.52]

It’s one of the most beautiful MMO games and it offers a really cool combat system, but as a whole it is simply boring and most of the time I spent with it I was considering going back to ArcheAge. [05/2016, p.46]

As a traditional 2D platformer devoid of any twists and nuance Superfrog HD fails to attract those who played the original game back in 1993. [12/2013, p.69]

For Rent is the antithesis of a fresh and interesting expansion pack. Everything about it seems overly simplified and ill-considered, vast majority of its contents recycles known features to various degrees and places them in a world that feels like a cardboard cutout, while the only major addition is supported by gameplay mechanics that are just not satisfying enough.

At first I planned to turn my whole review into a vivid description of all the bugs that Gods & Heroes charmed me with, like holes in textures, missing descriptions on the map, misguiding signposts, running through lava rivers unharmed, fighting hand to hand against an owl that was floating 30 feet above the ground or chasing a snake that managed to climb on top of some shed. What's even worse, God & Heroes looks awful. It should have never been dug up and resurrected by Heatwave Interactive – it reeks and its jerks poorly imitate life. [September 2011, p.66]

Intriguing visuals, great music and an interesting concept. Unfortunately Trauma is too short for its price and shallow – no matter how hard I tried, I was unable to see any deeper meaning to this story. [Sept 2011, p.68]

A mix of a platformer and a rhythm game, inspired by the original Prince of Persia (the one from 1989) and set in a dark fantasy world. Unfortunately, an interesting combat system is not enough to counterbalance repetitiveness and some crude gameplay mechanics. Also, Prince of Persia looked better. [10/2021, p.41]

The problem is not that Breakpoint is boring, has uninteresting story, lots of irritating bugs and the least intelligent enemies in video game history. It is the fact that the newest Ubisoft shooter lacks its own identity. [12/2019, p.38]

Spellcaster University is repetitive and full of poor design choices. The gameplay needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, because in its current state the game still looks like something out of Early Access rather than a final release. [10/2021, p.44]

ChaosTower’s rule are simple – you get some building materials with which you have to raise a tower of required height, and then you defend it. Sounds promising, but because the developers did not put enough thought into said building materials, most levels can be completed by repeating one simple trick, and due to imprecise controls it’s almost impossible to make the elements fit each other closely. There’s absolutely nothing interesting for an adult in this adaptation of a popular TV series, so I gave it to a seven-years-old and he enjoyed it, even though he already outgrew PAW Patrol and the game was too easy for him. If you’re looking for something a younger kid can play, you’ll hit a bullseye with On a Roll. [01/2019, p.73]
