What can really bring a third person action game down quicker than a roundhouse to the back of the head is a bad camera that makes it difficult or impossible to keep track of your placement within the game, and MR has one of the worst cameras I’ve seen in a while.- Armchair Empire

The bottom line is that if you are a Dragon Ball Z fan, this is probably going to be a good value for you to play through all the characters, watch the movie, and try to get the additional QR codes for added fun. If you're looking for a good fighting game on Kinect, this one might leaving you feeling a little defeated.- Armchair Empire

Blends a lot of great ideas together on paper, but fails to impress game play wise.- Armchair Empire

A decent title, but if you already own NHL 2004 you’re probably wasting your time and money for updated player stats, a token number of additions, and some new animations.- Armchair Empire

Spike has done a great job making a game for Dragon Ball Z fans – possibly the ultimate Dragon Ball Z game, with loads of extras and 120 playable characters – but its shallow fighting engine, extremely difficult Wii controls, and mediocre camera positioning will bar all but the most diehard fans of the series.- Armchair Empire

All in all, Spider-Man 3 was a tremendous bore and I think that I’ll go play some more of Spider-Man 2 to try and get the taste out of my mouth.- Armchair Empire

It's not quite worth the effort to chuck Space Siege out the airlock, but its extraneous mass that could be put to better use.- Armchair Empire

As you get on in the game, the tedium of doing the same thing over and over again wears thin, and you'll be left wanting something more.- Armchair Empire

In short, if you enjoyed the original game enough that you would like to experience more of it, than Joe's Adventures is a worthwhile investment.- Armchair Empire

In the end, Mafia II has the makings of a quicker and darker paced GTA clone that is unfortunately short of greatness due to its forced driving and overall sterile setting.- Armchair Empire

While the game does have a solid number of modes, the gameplay seems to be too repetitive and lacks strategy that other games have.- Armchair Empire

Where it succeeds, MIBII is a solid, if a bit difficult, shooter. Where it fails, MIBII feels more like a demo than a finished product.- Armchair Empire

The biggest change in Volume 2 is that the display now takes up the entire screen, instead of having the right side partitioned for a status bar. The rest of the additions aren't terribly exciting, unless you really find that collecting a stable of horses and elephants to be all that interesting.- Armchair Empire

Simply lacks any lasting appeal. While it may be tempting to say that long-time fans of the series may get a kick out of the game, if they’re purists they’ll likely have a problem with the gameplay tweaks added for this installment.- Armchair Empire

With well designed levels, and a multi-purpose eye-piece for the game’s main character, there could have been a lot of fun to be had in this game, but unfortunately RTX is riddled with countless tedious fetch quests and a sketchy enemy lock-on system that seriously drags down the enjoyment of the game.- Armchair Empire

Ravaged has a demo available that features the "Liberty" map (Thrust mode) and "Canyon" (Capture the Resource mode). Highlighting the "Liberty" map was a good choice because it's probably the most interesting multiplayer shooter arena this year. There's no harm in giving it a whirl for yourself, but I'll be monitoring the update progress before I pump more hours into Ravaged for a zero sum gain when it comes to upgrades and leveling-up.- Armchair Empire

I've had fun with Resident Evil 6 but that could be attributed to playing on Amateur. As written previously in this review, Amateur blunts ammo scarcity and control issues, makes things easier to kill, and sidesteps a lot of quicktime events, but it also allows forgiveness some of the really obvious backtracking the game puts the player through.- Armchair Empire

Eragon does a good job of trying to emulate a classic style of game, and at times, it almost succeeds. But even at its best, it's no more than a clone, which is coincidentally, the same issue with the Eragon novel.- Armchair Empire

With a visual downgrade and a quieter audio track, there is definitely something lost in the translation, and with Liberty City and Vice City Stories performing much more adequately, this PSP port may not have enough weight to keep it from drowning in obscurity.- Armchair Empire

The target audience for Tales of Valor is the completest, the sort of person who's been jonesing for a fix. The problem is that this particular hit of RTS goodness isn't all that great because there's so very little to it once you get down to the actual gameplay.- Armchair Empire

At the end of the day, though, there are simply better games to spend one's time with than God Mode. Sure it's ten bucks, but for the same amount one could just wait for something like Left 4 Dead or Killing Floor to go on sale, and have a much more enjoyable experience.- Armchair Empire

This might be a horrible back-handed comment on The Cartel, but playing it sparked me to go back and play some Bound in Blood, which has a far better single-player experience and I'd rather ride a horse in first-person than drive an SUV in first-person.- Armchair Empire

Two genres thrown together that don’t really try to be better than the games that they’re based on, descending into a mundane exercise in repetition.- Armchair Empire
